Ownership verified by DX Good gharger

Involvement: Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership: more than 1 month

Price: starstarstarstarstar
Ease of Use: starstarstarstar
Build Quality: starstarstar
Usefulness: starstarstar
Overall Rating: starstarstarstar

Pros: -Good price
-Does not overcharge (at least properly protected batteries won't)
-Cheap
-ok build quality
-works very well as overnight charger

Cons: -non-interchangeable cord (if you are in europe, you have to use plug adapter)
-When lights turn green, battery is not fully charged

Other Thoughts: Seems to use exactly correct charging method: constant current followed by constant voltage.
However
it seems that the indicator leds turn green after constant current phase, so the batteries are not full yet (4.10V-4.15V). You have to wait more when the constant voltage phase tops the battery voltage up to 4.2V

Bottomline: It is nice to have a charger that charges batteries full without overcharging. You can also make spacers to charge eg. 17500 batteries. DO NOT CHARGE less than 1000mAh (true capacitity) batteries
I have used only protected batteries I cant say does it work well with unprotected batteries.
Great price!
I will buy more!

Ownership verified by DX Awesome charger, awesome price!

Involvement: General (knows how to use it) - Ownership: 1 day to 1 week

Price: starstarstarstarstar
Ease of Use: starstarstarstarstar
Build Quality: starstarstarstarstar
Usefulness: starstarstarstarstar
Overall Rating: starstarstarstarstar

Pros: Awesome little charger.
Great build quality.
Nice and compact.
Charges fast, but doesn't overheat the batteries.
It's a smart little guy. It independently charges the cells, and it does a great job.

Cons: I noticed that when a battery is charging in the left slot on mine, if you turn it a little, the light goes green as if there's nothing there. Rotate it a little more, and it's red again. I can't tell if it's the charger's fault or the battery's. I'll try cleaning the contacts and see if that helps.

Other Thoughts: Even after the cells have been charging for over an hour, they're still barely even above room temperature.

Bottomline: If you need to charge some 18650s, this charger will do a great job for an awesome price.

Ownership verified by DX Good charger

Involvement: Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership: 1 week to 1 month

Price: starstarstarstarstar
Ease of Use: starstarstarstarstar
Build Quality: starstarstarstarstar
Usefulness: starstarstarstarstar
Overall Rating: starstarstarstarstar

Pros: Inexpensive.
Fairly well built.
Fits protected 18650s, even button-tops.
Independent charging channels and status indicators.
Good charge current (1A/channel) compared to most other chargers available on DX, charging quickly.
Charge voltage of 4.2v is steady.
Overcharge protection.

Cons: Annoying hum from the transformer circuitry inside the unit when first plugged in until it has had a few seconds to warm up.
Doesn't seem to be able to supply a full 2A to run both channels at once at 1A. Charging two batteries takes slightly longer than charging one, albeit not by much. It's still vastly quicker than if the channels were being shared at 500ma each.

Other Thoughts: I've been using this with sku.5776 and they fit perfectly. They charge to 4.2v in approximately two hours and a bit, reaching 3.7v early on.
A channel's status light goes from green to red when a battery is inserted, and then from red to green when it completes charging.

Bottomline: Probably the best charger on DX for 18650s.

Ownership verified by DX Works great

Price: starstarstarstarstar
Ease of Use: starstarstarstarstar
Build Quality: starstarstarstarstar
Usefulness: starstarstarstarstar
Overall Rating: starstarstarstarstar

Pros: Good charge rate without overheating batteries.
Easy to understand independent LED indicators.
Universal A/C input voltage (OK, you may need an adaptor since it only comes with a US plug style).
Simple in operation.
Power cord is flexible and high quality.
Circuitry will not over charge a battery -- if you try to charge a fully charged battery, the charger does nothing.
Great price for what you get.

Cons: Only charges 18650 batteries, but maybe that is really a Pro if that is all you want to charge.

Other Thoughts: LED operation:
Both GREEN when powered up with no batteries.
LEDs independently turn RED when discharged battery is inserted.
LEDs independently turn GREEN as each battery reaches full charge.
This is not a rapid charger, so if you have a lot of batteries to charge, you might want two chargers -- figure 3 hours from fully discharged to fully charged.

Bottomline: You can't ask for more simplicity to get the job done without damage to batteries. Plug it in, insert battereis, and let the charger figure out what to do.
