Staff Review:
Although drawing performance is no where near WACOM, this little pad is good for making simple graphics in Paint/Photoshop, signing electronic documents, or using it as a backup mouse. This pad suffers from the lack of writing pressure sensor, the relative small writing area, and the Chinese base installation setup program (it's actually a one-click setup program, so it isn't that bad. When you run the program, you can choose English menu instead). In addition, the writable area of this unit and it's large cousin (7th-gen) pad is the same. The only difference is that the 7th-gen pad has a larger casing.
Pros: pad is good. good for parts too.
Cons: Not much at all but the included software sucks. Ok so maybe the software ain't so good. The software is very unreliable(ie.slow computer)so get it from searching google.
Other Thoughts: not too big nor small. You should get it but consider the bad software. 500char500char500char500char500char500char500char500char500char500char500char500char500char500char500char500char500char500char500char500char500char500char
Bottomline: Need to read chinese of tranlate it? get this definetly.
Pros: Its really so small, weightless and handy.A simple and cheap alternative to WACOM. It does its job well. Everything as said.
Cons: Its not the perfect writing pad, and certainly its not at all good for drawing even in mspaint. it struggles to work as a mouse but works fine as a pen. as others said, the software is another problem finding a good one in english. for me the one came in the cd wasnt good. i downloaded the english supported software from a link posted in the forum section.it dint work well as a pen inside my onenote(that is the purpose why i bought this). as i said it struggles for being a mouse.
Other Thoughts: Its cheap, and good to play with. As i said above, you get wat you pay for. but, for this one i would say you get a bit more for what you paid for. but still its not the solution for your creativity but a best device to learn kanji's.
Bottomline: Buy it if you want to learn Chinese and Japanese Kanjis, dont build too much expectations thinking wacom in mind after ordering this product. though it didnt serve the exact purpose of purchase i am still happy with this product.
Pros: It's nice to play a little, to draw a little simples drawings....it's cheap.
Cons: - I don't know chinese, that's make the use a bit difficult...- It hasn't got software in English, only in Chinese...- The performance is bad, If you want to buy it to draw something more complicated...
Other Thoughts: It's cheap. So you get what you pay for it.
Bottomline: Don't buy if you want to draw or to make signatures online.I would suggest for DX that they put some software in English, that would make everyone's job a lot easier.
Pros: It's cheap.
Cons: Not very responsive. I'd say there's half a second delay between my actual movements, and the cursor following my movements on screen. Also it has a horrible resolution. The mouse cursor does a staircase-like movement when you draw a diagonal line a bit slowly. If you draw it fast, it looks better, but that's probably due to the software averaging the pen position. This would also explain the poor response time. Aw, well, can't really complain about a 7 dollar product I guess.
Other Thoughts: I think I got a different model. The box looks slightly different from the customer pictures uploaded here.
Bottomline: Maybe you get lucky and get a better one than I did. Reading other reviewer's positive comments makes me think I just got the wrong item
