Pros: It's a very cheap price for this sim card reader!! For me a good thing, because my phone does'nt have data connection. So you can do a backup from your SIM-card.
It's works for sim-cards in the Netherlands too!!!   Great
 
Cons: The plastic is hard and easy to brake.
I spend a lot of time before its work.
It don't work with Vista
 
Other Thoughts: When you buy this item, you can make a database on your computer of all your phone books of all your sim cards.
Then you have a nice back up.
 
Bottomline: This product works very goed.   This is a very cheap and usefull item.

Pros: ..you can read sim in..  IF it works
 
Cons: It has been a Doa (dead on arival)
looks cheap,
alraidy broken when getting out of package

Practically this is usb2com converter for sim card

Pros: This device is rather cheap, it provides direct access to COM port on SIM card. (Yes, your phone card is just normal COM port device with unusual port form factor.
 
Cons: Supporting software (it is not a driver indeed: there is no such thing as a driver for these kind of devices other than standard PL2303 bridge) is window$ only.
You won't be able to use it on Linux or other Unix easily.
 
Other Thoughts: You can use this device as usb2com-on-sim converter. It should be similar to your normal phone data cable connection, but it should provide more functionality, such as PIN code change.
The problem is that you must know appropriate AT-sequences and they're not documented. I managed to find standard sequences on the net -- but for those tasks you may use your phone.
It is possible to run the program from the disk under recent wine, but I was unable to get direct USB access for it so far.
 
Bottomline: If you want to hack your SIM card and do not spare several bucks, you may buy it.
But do not anticipated out of the box or little effort performance.

Pros: Very cheap price. A good thing if your phone does'nt have data connection. So you can do a backup from your SIM. Never know when you'll lose it :).
 
Cons: At the very first time I entered my SIM, i bend the little wiers that connect to the SIM. So I had to take it apart and fix it with needles. And now I don't push my SIM in like supposed to, I take it apart and put it there, this way I won'nt brake it again.
 
Other Thoughts:  
Bottomline: So if your phone does'nt manage to make a back up from you contacts, buy this little piece. It's very cheap :)
