Pros: A good battery. Good duration.
Cons: I have another eneloops and this are different. Dealextreme´s Eneloop are a little bigger than others Eneloop. Don´t fit well in some electronics I have.Mine didn´t come precharger, only a little charge.I´m not sure they´re original Eneloop.
Other Thoughts: It´s possible that Sanyo make different types of Eneloop for different makets, but it´s also possible that somes Eneloop are fake.
Bottomline: A good battery, but different to others Eneloop I have, that seems better quality.
Pros: - Genuine Sanyo rechargeable batteries.- Feature the next generation of NI-MH batteries technology which work as advertised. - Very low self discharge so they last very long when you need to store them before use!
Cons: These batteries were expensive when purchased at November 2008 ($17.35), but they are worth it. Now, when the price has dropped - don't hesitate - BUY THEM.
Other Thoughts: I received the batteries in a different packaging (was not be the same as picture - see user pictures I uploaded recently). However, this was not a real cons as batteries are original.
Bottomline: If you need to store your batts over a long period of time, before use, these are the best AA rechargeable batteries.
Pros: The Sany Eneloop rechargeable batteries came charged when shipped to India, other batteries would have drained out by the time they reached the destination. I have used it for taking pictures with Canon S5is digital camera.It has given over 200 shots at high resolution with flash and over 60 minutes of video recording and still has charge in them.I have been using unrioss NI MH 2500 which needs over 8 hours of charging and gets discharged in a day if not used and just gives me about 50 shots and 20 mins of video recording with the same camera
Cons: None that i see at the moment, slightly expensive.
Other Thoughts: Should have one of these at they really last for long.
Bottomline: Better than my other rechargeable batteries
Pros: + Real capacity for the four Eneloops I received is 2.08, 2.10, 2.11, 2.16 Ah (measured by La Crosse BC-900U at 350 mA discharge rate, after a few charge-discharge cycles).+ Very good internal resistance which is very important for high drain applications such as a photo flash at sequential shooting mode. + The self discharge rate seems to be really very low (although I have no my own exact data yet).+ The build quality is irreproachable.
Cons: The only real con is the price.And for the price they could add a box, I guess :)
Other Thoughts: I have just ordered another four Eneloop accus. They are really much more pleasant in use then the conventional NiMH with their self discharge.And a very low real capacity scatter means the perfect process technology.
Bottomline: Excellent accumulators for any high drain AA powered equipment, especially if it is used infrequently, but should be always in readiness.

How was the self-discharge reduced?
Modern Ni-MH batteries consist of two metal stripes ( anode and cathode ), which are separated by a non-conductive porous plastic foil ( separator ). These three stripes are laid on top of each other and are winded to a coil. This coil is put in a metal can and immersed with a liquid ( electrolyte ). Then the metal can is closed with a cap.
The self discharge of Ni-MH batteries is caused by three main reasons:
- The chemical decomposition of the cathode,- The natural disaggregation of the anode,- Impurities of the anode.
Now, how could the self-discharge in the Eneloop been reduced?
The chemical decomposition of the kathode has been reduced substantially by the use of a new superlattice alloy. As an additional benefit the superlattice alloy increases the electrical capacity of the battery and reduces the internal resistance, which allows higher discharge currents. Another advantage of the reduced decomposition of this alloy is the fact, that less Cobalt is needed to stabilize the alloy. The anode has been strengthened by another new material, which reduces the natural disaggregation. Additionally the separator and the used electrolyte have been optimised for low self discharge of the Eneloop
