Wouldn't recommend it for long term use

Pros: It is cheap. Very compact, easy to carry around. Doesn't require battery, which can also be a con (see below).

Cons: It can draw quite a lot of battery from your device.

After a couple of months, the charging function seems to stop working for me. The FM transmitter function still works though. But it becomes almost useless since it drains the battery so fast.

Bottomline: Wouldn't recommend it for long term use. It probably wouldn't last that long. Probably better to invest in something else.

Easy to use fm transmitter

Pros: - quite cheap
- easy to use, just plug it in your ipod and it works (tested with ipod nano 3g, ipod nano 4g and ipod classic 6g)
- also works on battery without the power adapter
- quite robust
 
Cons: - had quite a few scratches after only using it a week or so. Doesn't affect the functionality though, it still works perfectly. :)
 
Other Thoughts: I sometimes have problems with finding a right frequency, but the easiest way is to turn on the radio, and search for two channels which are at least 0.4 mhz apart. Then set the frequency on the fm transmitter in the middle of these two channels for the best reception.
 
Bottomline: I bought 5 in total, for myself and some friends, and as far as i know everybody is happy with it. :)

Pros: First and foremost, this thing works perfectly fine. If you find the perfect channel in your area then this thing works perfectly fine. I keep my iPod Touch in the glove box and play music through that and it still works perfect with no white noise.
 
Cons: The charger seems pretty cheap. I have not used it for the fear of it probably frying my iPod Touch.
 
Other Thoughts:  
Bottomline: Bottomline, once you find the right channel in your area you will have minimal white noise. It saves the channel you were using when you unplugged it from your iPod.

Easy to use, small. Has a whistle, though.

Pros: It is very nice and compact.  Easy to keep with the iPod whenever it might be needed.
Even without any instructions, it's quite obvious how this works.
 
Cons: Has a constant, high-frequency whistle.  The closer you get it to the antenna, the less it is a problem but it is still very noticeable.  So much so that it could give you a headache after a while.  The music does drown it out when it gets above a certain level, though.
Battery drain on the iPod seems fairly steep.  I haven't done a full test on it but after just a few minutes, the battery level had gone down one bar.
 
Other Thoughts:  
Bottomline: It is good for the price, especially considering you get a car charger with it.  If you don't want the whistle, you may want to research some other products as well.
