Pros: These are a great way to use AA cells when you do not have any "D" cells around.
Also, if you use rechargeable batteries, they can replace/substitute for larger/more expensive "D" cells.
Cons: I am not too sure how long the plastic will last. The hinges where you load the "AA" cells are not very thick.
The bottom contact plate may require placing a large diameter thin flat magnet on it, so as to make better contact with "D" cell flashlight tailsprings.
Other Thoughts: A great way to use "AA" cells instead of "D" cells.
Will fit, and can be used in most "D" cell applications.
Makes a "D" size flashlight weigh a lot less too! Of course, it will not run as long, but in some situations, this can be an advantage.
Bottomline: The price is right for these, as they actually work very well.
Excellent battery converter.

Pros: - Works as advertised.
- Will turn pretty much any D cell flashlight to a more common cheaper AA setup.
- Takes two AA batteries.
- The price is amazing.
- Awesome build quality, Plastic does seem to be made pretty well.
- Ideal for someone who wants to use this in D cell mag-lites.
- Best converters on the market IMO.
Cons: - Maybe the latch quality because it does seem that it could break over time but hey these cost 2 US dollars.
- Maybe an option to have different colors would be cool.
- DX times ( About 5 weeks here to recieve in United States)
Other Thoughts: - I am running these in my 2D mag-lite. No problems here so far.
Bottomline: This is a great buy for anyone who wants to convert there D cell electronics to a AA source battery. These work well when using in a series as well. Very well recommended and works as advertised. Only two dollars!

Pros: I have opted to standardise my choice of battery, I've selected AA and AAA. Also I have a smart charger BC900, which only takes those two batteries. This and the C size convertor allow me to maintain a standard stock of AA's yet covers both C and D size, great buy.
Cons: None really, have had some jams will certain rechargeable batteries which are a little fatter than others and have gotten stuck, so far have always managed to get them unstuck, just something to mention for others.
Other Thoughts:
Bottomline: If you want to simplify your life a little, go with one battery size a good charger and these convertors, you won't go far wrong.

Pros: Works perfectly as advertised. I put batteries in, plug it into the D socket, it works. Albeit at a reduced life than a normal D but that is to be expected considering it is a AA inside.
Cons: None really. I did rate the build quality only a 4 since afterall it is just cheap plastic but I would prefer this over a more expensive solution.
Other Thoughts: I need D size for my motorized lid trash can and the first set of disposable batteries lasted about 6 months. Even if I get 2 months with AA and these converters I will be very happy. Just something to power the lid and allow me to recharge every once in a great while. Perfect invention.
Bottomline: This is a great and clever device that saves me a ton of money in buying either disposable D batteries or rechargeable ones. I can't stomach buying one-off sizes when I have several dozen rechargeable AA's lying around and just begging to be put to good use.
