These are lovely rechargeable Li-ion batteries in CR123A format. This is the best for heavy duty eletronic devices like camera flash, flashlight, etc. However, since the 3.0V CR123A when fully charged will result in 3.8V, and 3.6V CR123A when fully charged will result in 4.2V, you have to make sure if your electronic devices can handle the extra power. We indicated the flashlight CR123A compatibility specification each of the flashlight product page for your conveience.
Pros: - received 1000mAh batteries- works exellently with the UltraFire WF-139 charger! no charge monitoring needed, the charger automatically shuts off (will need charge spacers).- inexpensive: for around US$20 you can get the charger and 4 batteries, less than i've seen a 6-pack of disposables for!- a fully charged cell will last for weeks of intermittent use in my NovaTac 120T, or a day or two of heavy use- stays cool under extended use
Cons: - still not sure about how well they keep the charge under storage. i've used a battery that was charged >2 weeks before and it seemed to last less time, but i have to confirm this.
Other Thoughts: these work fantastically in the NovaTac 120-series. these lights specifically require UNPROTECTED cells, as specified by their manual, because the light has its own over-discharge protection. using protected cells can cause random light dimming as the two protection circuits battle it out.
Bottomline: this is THE best value for any kind of CR123 cell, wether rechargeable or disposable. i still keep disposable ones stashed in various bags, as they have an effectively indefinite shelf life - but they're really only for backups.there is really little reason to go with disposables, especially for regular users like the law enforcement, military, aviation, and service inspection industries.
Pros: Bought a pair to use in a flashlight, charging with nano charger. They worked, but they did not produce the same brightness. Then I bought SKU 19627 and had better and more consistent results (SKU 19627 produces brighter light than the better one of these). NONE HAVE LEAKED/CHANGED SHAPE/EXCEED VOLTAGE LIMITS.
Cons: I can watch the charge on the batteries, but after a while I got tired of worrying about shorting/over-discharging them.
Other Thoughts: They smell. Nothing strong, but may indicate some leak.
Bottomline: Go for SKU 19627.
Pros: They are cheap. They have worked for many months for me nowThe colour is nice. You can put 4 of them together to get enough power to overdrive a 14v xenon quite nicely. (Whiter light!)
Cons: I bought 8, 3 of them leaked, won't hold charge, or looked like they would explode anytime soon, or all of them. DX luckily sent me 4 cells, all of them worked just fine. Not protected! (Might be good if you can take care with the cells and use high-power xenons)
Other Thoughts:
Bottomline: Cheap cells, get better ones if you want quality. But as I just use these in flashlights it doesn't matter.
Pros: Best Bang for the Buck! Can't beat these at this price. I rec'd 1000 Mah instead of the ones pictured. Same purple casing. In my 11836 R2 drop in; I have timed over 62 minutes on my hike with the set fully recharged and at the end of the hike it will still read 3.62 volts each. Have not tested for total runtime but would guess at least 90 mins which is great for RCRs at this price!
Cons: No cons at this price. If they go bad or you overdischarge them by accident... grab a new one. I ordered 5 packs of 2 (10) for spares in case they go out on me. Why buy disposables at this price?
Other Thoughts: If they go bad or you overdischarge them by accident... grab a new one. I ordered 5 packs of 2 (10) for spares in case they go out on me. Why buy disposables at this price?
Bottomline: If you don't care about watching for overdischarge or do not have a flashlight that warns before overdischarge occurs than go for protected cells. However, at this price, I'd just trash them for those accidental times.
