Pros: + Great pricing considering it is very very very inexpensive!
+ Received it and was amazed at how good it looked! (for now that is)!
+ Way cheaper to replace the shell instead of send the whole thing into Nintendo for hinge repair!
+ Not to mention when your done you pretty much end up with a new DS!
+ Good build quality at first!

Cons: + Once you start putting things together you release some problems!
+ A few things on mine didn't line up exactly right but oh well
+ My DS would completely seal up when it closed but instead I had a small gap at the end

Other Thoughts: + Must be patient to replace this and if you have Parkinson's I don't suggest you try this!

Bottomline: + Get what your pay for but overall its a pretty good buy!

My Nintendo DS looks like new, and I don't longer have a broken hinge; so I guess this product it's good and does waht it's supposed to do. But it was very hard to replace the case for me, because it was my first time.

If your Nintendo DS has a broken case, this is for you, it's not perfect and the quality could be a little better (with the screw holes), but's it's Ok and looks good.

Pros: - All the parts needed to replace anything on your DS case
- in theory possible to mix and match old and new. I used a new bottom retaining my old top half of the DS
- lots of videos and pictures on the net to help
- Good price

Cons: - Bought screwdrivers separately, these should come with it
- Right hand hinge piece does not fit well with the original metal in the top screen, had to salvage my old one
- some of the parts are very different to the OEM. I wanted to fit a new outer cover to the top screen and retain the rest of the inner top screen but the grooves do not match

Other Thoughts:

Bottomline: Much cheaper than getting Nintendo to fix it if you have some patience and are not phased by taking things apart (and putting them back together!!)

Pros: I got this because the hinge of my DS broke off, and this is a great way to fix it without sending it back to nintendo. I think nintendo charges $70 to fix a broken hinge, which is almost enuff to get a used DS!!
The shell allows for mix and match as the parts fits with my original ds shell. (not perfectly, but it worked)
comes with both top and bottom black screen frame, all the screws (so no need to use the tri-gram screwdriver anymore!!) and comes with any rubber parts you need.. I didn't use the black buttons so I can't comment on that
look wise they went really far to make the case seems like the real one, with nintendo logo and everything printed on the back

Cons: this is where the world of hurt comes in.. as much of the parts didnt fit right
the flip-Open Screen Shaft for NDS Lite didn't fit into the hinge right, so i had to basically carve the hold to be bigger inorder for the screen shaft to fit in.
the power button didnt fit either (was too big) so I had to slim it down with a knife.
The slots where the cables are go thru are either made too wide (thus the wire doesnt stay in place) or too narrow (the wire cant get into place)
rubber pieces that cover the top screen screws weren't cut properly, had to manually cut them out
the battery cover can't be screwed on for some reason. I think the bottom case is fatter then the original thus the screw cant reach the screw hole.. and I can't switch the screw to a longer one either as its set in place (stuck onto the cover, just like the original)
right now I have a piece of black electrical tape holding in the battery cover.
also around slot-1 the case doesn't close fully and you see a little gap.

Other Thoughts: putting it together wouldve been easy if the parts fitted the way they should..
i don't know if I just got a bad batch or something..
there are no instructions but if you search around online you can find alot of tutorials

Bottomline: only get it if you REALLY REALLY need it (like fixing a broken hinge)
the trouble you go through is not worth it.. since alot of the parts didnt fit quiet right.
