Pros: This cable gives excellent picture and audio quality at a very competitive price. The construction of the cable is very good and it mimics the official cable very closely. It works without a custom firmware plug-in.
Cons: The cables are a bit too short especially when they are used with a larger television that you want to sit away from. Most games are not full-screen unless you use a plug-in, but this is Sony's fault since the same problem exists with the official component A/V cable.
Other Thoughts:
Bottomline: I use this cable on a 720p LCD television which is much nicer to look at than the PSP's small screen. I advise anyone that has a PSP 2000 or 3000 to purchase this item in order to get the most out of your PSP.
Pros: * displays PSP games, movies, and photos on your compatible TV screen * component video and stereo audio connections * works with Sony slim PSP only (PSP-2000 and PSP-3000) -- not original PSP
Cons: None!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Other Thoughts: For use with today's more sophisticated video equipment that allows component input from high-end gear like the PlayStation Portable, the Component AV Cable delivers impeccable, distortion-free picture quality. Use the Component AV Cable to connect the PlayStation Portable to your TV for to superior quality picture, colors and sound. If your entertainment center is ready, prepare for the leap in detail you'll see with the Component AV Cable.
Bottomline: I had thought this would allow you to play games on your older sets, but its just good to watch movies off your psp or even surf the web on that older tv. The one good thing is you can hook it up to your lcd projector and then get a really big psp screen. I have the component cables too just buy those if you want to play games on your hdtv. Well made.
Pros: - This is super cheap compared to the official Sony cables that are 21 dollars + tax. - Works exactly like the official Sony cables, but again, at a much cheaper price! - Cable is very sturdy, it feels like it won't fall apart on you. But you'll have it permanently connected to your TV so it's not like that matters. - Great video/sound quality, I used it to watch a concert on TV streamed from PSP, the PSP can output DVD resolution video if you have it at that resolution, and it looks fantastic on TV!
Cons: - Took a while to ship and get here, I would have prefered to have had this cable over winter break, but that's not really a con about the product itself!
Bottomline: If you've been looking for a component cable to play games on TV (The composite ones will only let you watch videos) with the PSP, there is absolutely no reason you should buy the official ones, unless you, for some reason, absolutely HAVE TO have it THAT day.
Pros: Great cable, has a good length to reach the TV depending on the size of the room.Great price, in Brazil I would pay like R$ 80 or 90 for such a cable.Good quality. Seems to be well resistant.
Cons: I saw no problem in cable, even the connectors being plastic made. But given that it is not original but does do what it says the price is good.
Other Thoughts: It's cool to play PSP on TV , but it is bad that he is not in full screen. You get around some 65% of screen used in the center. It is good when you want to play at home and do not need to be sitting and looking down.
Bottomline: If the cable does not reach your TV, you can buy female-female RCA adapters and a cable video components to extend it.The sound quality is great too.
