Pros: - Very good price- Works great for most MIDI instruments- Reasonable quality
Cons: - When using it to trigger drum sounds in Addictive Drums it seems some of the more busier notes I play never arrives at the computer. Tried a RomIo unit that worked flawlessly (for 4x the price...) Had to change some MIDI settings on the drumkit to get rid of the disapearing beats.
Other Thoughts: -A little cumbersome to install in Windows Vista. (Read discussion for this item)Needed to download driver for RomIo and force it to use the "wrong" driver.
Bottomline: Nice product. Using it on my Yamaha DTXpress kit to trigger "real" drum sounds and after making some adjustments to the kit (don't continously send hi-hat position) it works perfectly!
Pros: - Verry low price. I can only find some at about 50$ + Taxes here. Realy a good bargain- 3 LED on the device help you know if the connection and the data transfer work between your devices- Real plug'n'play device.- Work with All MIDI softwares in windows
Cons: - Mine have a cable problem. Maybe a bad solder point or a broken cable. If I move the cable I lost the connection (input) but the out is working.
Other Thoughts:
Bottomline: - Realy good things ! If you need to connect you MIDI device on your computer you need that one !
Pros: Great cable which works well.Cables are a good length and are pretty well made and solid.No drivers are needed! That's one of the great things- just Plug & Play! Nice LEDs which are bright and look cool in the dark :P
Cons: Doesn't include any manual, after playing with it for a few minutes you will get it going fine
Other Thoughts: I have seen similar products sell for around $50.
Bottomline: If you need something like this then look no further, just buy this now! You truly will not find a product like this cheaper any where else!
Pros: Extremely useful for connecting MIDI devices.Currently using it on a POD X3 Live and it works flawlessly.Has LEDs to indicate which direction the data is flowing.Cables are long and feels very solid thanks to its thick shield.No drivers needed! That's the best of it, you just plug it in and it works flawlessly!
Cons: A bit confusing as to the labelling of the IN and OUT ports but after a few minutes of fiddling and thinking I just switched the ports and it worked OK.A small manual should have been included to prevent frustration on first use.Price could have been a little bit cheaper but it's nice anyway.
Other Thoughts: It would have been nice to have more LEDs (16 or 32) on the usb dongle, so that we could see at a glance on which channel data is being sent and received.
Bottomline: Overall and excellent product and definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a simple and fast way to access MIDI devices.
