Pros: This thing is so handy, it picks up all of the Dvb-t TV signals available in my area and displays them on my laptop with crisp picture just like my TV.
Just install the software and drivers and your all set to go, and as a bonus freebie the setup is totally easy.
When everything is installed simply
plug it into a usb port and use the software to scan and find available TV signals.
The build quality is great, its sturdy and the antenna plug is nice and tight.

Cons: Not really a con but it is a bit long so if you move around allot or accidentally bump it you could snap it.
The supplies antenna is quite weak, other than that no cons.

Other Thoughts: My one actually came Defective because of the chip inside the tuner, but Dealextreme easily sorted that out and sent me a fully working replacement within 2 weeks.

Bottomline: Buy one, they work, they record, and are very easy to set up...what more could you want?

Pros: Easy to install
Works in Australia (PAL)
Accepts a standard coax antenna plug, not one of those proprietary mini-plugs.
Supports EPG, Teletext, Scheduled Recording etc.
Allows me to watch/record HDTV channels that my SD set top box doesn't support.
Software is intuitive and in 'proper English'
Great value for money!

Cons: Supplied TV antenna is pretty useless. I get 80-90% signal when I plug in my external antenna, but I can't pick up a single channel with the supplied one.

Other Thoughts: Supplied antenna is a little worthless so portability is limited but I don't think thats a limitation of the tuner itself, just how much you can pick up with a 5" antenna.

Bottomline: So far I'm extremely happy with this unit, especially for the price. I bought it not knowing if it'd work in Australia and was plesantly suprised that not only does it work, but its easy to install and has more features (Remote, standard antenna plug, etc) than I even noticed in the description.
Awesome.

Pros: * Very easy to set up and run - using the supplied driver and software, I was watching HD & SD digital television inside of 15 minutes.
* Remote control works well
* Good reception
* USB extension lead makes it easy to plug into a laptop USB port and keep the laptop flat on a table

Cons: * Supplied Antenna was useless (I live about 6kms from the transmitter), old style bunny ears work well though.
* Misleading plastic case made me panic on receipt of the device

Other Thoughts: The shipped device is supplied in a U718 (Analogue receiver) case, but is in fact a digital receiver (based on the AF9015 chipset) which includes BDA drivers. I am trying to get it to work with GB-PVR currently, but am confident I will get it going. MythTV users should check support for the AF9105 chipset before buying (I know there work with LinuxTV for this chipset - see http://linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/Afatech_AF9015).

There seems to be a relationship between CPU power and reception. For instance a fast CPU machine works well with both a proper antenna and with rabbit ears, but a slower CPU machine will not work with rabbit ears, but works fine with a proper antenna (an external one on my house)- the same combinations also seem to affect the LED in the device. ie. FAST CPU - any antenna, LED lights up, Slow CPU, Good Antenna, LED lights up, but Slow CPU and poor Antenna, no LED. I am going to get a powered USB hub for the slower machine (it may be related to the power the USB port provides rather than the power of the CPU) to see if that resolves the situation (http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.678).

Bottomline: Great SD/HD DVB-T USB device at a great price - buy it!

Pros: Works well on windows PC
Scan picked up all local channels
BDA drivers included for windows media
Good reception with external antenna (I live to far from transmitters for the included antenna)

Cons: Not recognized in myth tv

Other Thoughts: I bought this primarily to replace the tuner in my myth tv computer but the system didn't recognise the tuner.

Bottomline: Good for a windows based tuner
