Pros: Neat little motion detector. Is set off when someone walks past it, or any movement for that matter. The pronunciation is good and its loud so you don't need to worry about having trouble understanding it.

Cons: It is a bit loud and the on/off switch on mine was recessed so I had to hear 4-5 cycles of "Ding Dong...Helloooo Welcome!" before I could turn it off. After unscrewing it and realigning the pieces it was okay

Other Thoughts: I don't know why I bought this...Seems like something more for a shop owner. Still pretty neat though cause it freaks out the cat.

Bottomline: If your looking for a welcome chime or warning device this is pretty loud and small.

Pros: Cheap first of all ... and just too cute ... who doesn't want a tiny little froggy that shouts outloud with a welcome noet once you open the door to your home ... ?

Cons: the volume is just too loud ... its really hard to believe that this tinny little froggy is in fact very loud ...

Other Thoughts: It would have been better if it comes with a volume control to lower it a little or if the volume of the frogg comes a little bit tuned down.

Bottomline: Buy one of these ... it will give your home a nice warm touch and feeling to your guestes once they pass your door step.

Pros: loud and clear enough voice,you won't have a hard time understanding the "hello welcome". I would estimate it costing much more if i didn't know the dealextreme price.
Funny design.

Cons: When you activate it and you walk away you trigger some "hello welcome"s yourself. Same thing when you come back and want to deactivate it.
Works with 3 AAA batteries, bit hard to use rechargables as my charger only takes even number of batteries. (I'll be ordering a new charger from dealextreme). No volume control.

Other Thoughts: If i would redesign the unit i would add the following:
- countdown timer when you activate it, so you can walk away in silence.
- timer so it won't trigger successivly when walking up to it.
- volume control
- USB-input so you don't have to use batteries. 3 AAA =~ usb voltage anyway.
- for a more expensive unit, a remote control would be handy.

Bottomline: Could be used as an alarm, for example place it next to you laptop when you leave for a coffee, you'd definitly hear someone entering you office if your not to far away. But keep in mind your colleagues will definitly be enoyed when used on a regular basis.
So better to consider this as a toy when you buy it.

Pros: Green, funny and good for knowing when someone get's out of the house!

Cons: A little loud, but it's k with me!

Other Thoughts: I find it very useful for houses and not apartments!

Bottomline: Some of my friends love this froggy so I've ordered more!
