Pros: A nice aluminium casing which can conduct heat away relatively fast, though I'm unsure how much heat is actually trapped.
The IDE and Sata connectors are very welcomed since I've got both SATA and IDE hdds lying around the house

Cons: As many people have mentioned before me, the wires have to be cramped very tight in in order to close the casing. I'm not sure if I'm doing it wrong, but I'm stuffing it towards the black part. The bending of the stiff SATA cable seems to have given it a mild deformation as the red color seems to have lightened at several parts. Makes me afraid to open the casing and put in another hdd as I'm afraid constant mechanical action will cause the SATA cable to break.
The SATA cable is not detachable, so if its damaged I wont be able to replace one!
Ventilation is not sufficient. Drive heats up extremely fast and I'm thinking of drilling more holes in, but the shiny surface seems to beg me otherwise

Other Thoughts: Better off getting the IDE/SATA connecter, which is much cheaper and there's no "box" to hold in the heat, though u'll expose it to dust instead.

Bottomline: Good if you are going to leave your drive in for a long time and in a very well ventilated place.

Pros: Muy buena opcion para utilizar un disco interno como externo.
La caja apenas se calienta, lo cual facilita su uso durante horas.
Ademas permite su utilizacion con disco IDE y SATA, lo cual aumenta su versatilidad.
Muy facil de montar y usar.
Esteticamente queda bastante elegante encima de la mesa

Cons: Hay que apretar un poco los cables al montar el disco.
Por lo demas no hay mas cosas negativas

Bottomline: Producto que ofrece una alternativa muy interesante para aprovechar disco internos que ya no se usan.
Muy buena relacion calidad / precio

Pros: -It is made of aluminium, so it's light and solid
-It comes with everything neccesary to make your HDD external, no need to buy extra parts
-Supports both IDE and SATA interfaces
-Driverless
-Easy HDD insertion system
-The power supply has a standar AC connector, so you can replace the power cord with one that has your country's power plug
-It is detected as a local disk unit (which is removable), not as a removable unit (like a pendrive) so you can probably boot some OS from it
-Fast reading/writing speeds, supporting NTFS and FAT32 partitions
-Useful status LED (green when not accessing the disk)
-It doesn't get too hot

Cons: -SATA connector can't be removed from the PCB, so it will stay inside without use if you use an IDE drive
-It should have had some rubber pads to absorb vibrations from the HDD
-Takes about 40 seconds to be detected (at least in my computer), and sometimes windows can't stop the device to be disconnected safely (althougt LED indicates when you can disconnect it)
-Power conector (DIN) looks a bit fragile
-It's a bit tricky to close it when you have inserted the disk

Other Thoughts: I changed my computer's hard disk and i wanted to make it external in the cheapest way. This product was just what i wanted

Bottomline: Thre may be better solutions out there, but this one just works perfctly.
It's certified by both FCC and CE, so you have a quality warranty.

Pros: - It's really cheap,
- I put a 1Tb hard drive in it and it works great,
- It has an external power supply,
- It supports both ATA and SATA hard drives (and internal connectors for supply).

Cons: It's quite difficult to close the case with a hard drive because there's not a lot of place in it but once it's closed your don't need to do it every day !
There's no fan so be carefull if your hard drive is too hot !

Other Thoughts: Good for daily or backup use.

Bottomline: Cheap and works great, what else ...
