Pros: This is an inexpensive replacement for the Nikon MC-30 remote shutter switch. This item comes in a nice looking package and works as advertised.
Cons: My remote arrived with some minor surface scratches on the plastic, but this does not affect the functionality of the device at all.
Other Thoughts: I wish I had purchased this item instead of the original Nikon MC-30, as it works just as well and would have saved me a lot of money.
Bottomline: This item costs less than 1/10 of the price of the original Nikon part, and is a useful accessory to keep in your camera bag for shots that require a remote shutter release.
Pros: * Very good price and quality* The connector has a the locking screw (not all cheap ones have this)* The connector goes in place easily
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: I already had one cheap third party remote cable that I bought a long time ago (not from DX). This remote was a lot cheaper and better. This has a locking screw and connector goes in place better (the other one doesn't have a screw and isn't so reliable).
Bottomline: If you don't have one already, buy it! Good source for DIY projects too if you need the 10-pin connector. It has only the three wires needed for triggering but if you just need those then it is ok.
Pros: - Bought it for $7.48, now it's even more cheap- Hold-down option for the button for BULB Mode- Feels made not too cheap- Metal connector to the camera, angled wire (the angled wire is a pro for me, not like another person said...)
Cons: (maybe) - built quality of the button and the hold-down for the bulb mode..
Other Thoughts: could have advanced modes like timer (a shot all few minutes etc. )/ separate button - but that would be an advanced device for a higher price of course
Bottomline: get it if all you need is a simple remote trigger (avoiding camera shake etc...)
Pros: It is amazing!!!!It saves my hand from holding my Nikon camera in that awkward position for extended lengths of time!!!Very worth the priceWell built!
Cons: Sometimes it takes a while to take the picture.I wish the cord was a little bit longer. Also I wish that the wire stress reliever wasn't angled really awkwardly.
Other Thoughts:
Bottomline: Excellent product!Well built hand saver!Definitely works for the Nikon D200 camera!(Without a shadow of a doubt!)
