Pros: At this price, you can't go wrong.
The quality seem very good, with a thick rubbery cable that is soft. No stiff unruly cables on this one.
two steps on the button, just as on the XT Rebel. First step enables focus, second step engages the shutter
the plug is angled. That helps preventing accidentally unplugging it.


Cons: Cable could have been a bit longer, but extension cords are easy to make, or buy.
The locking (bulb function) is a bit easy to enage, as you often push a bit forward as you push down.


Other Thoughts: The bulb function should go the other way (pull towards you insted of push away) to reduce the risk of accidentally locking the trigger button


Bottomline: If you need a remote shutter, this one is definately worth it!

Pros: Excellent Price! Canon charge a premium price for their OEM hardware and their remote shutter switches are no exception. This one is under $5 and the build quality is excellent.

It has a nice thick cable and sturdy body with nice rigid cable relievers on the plug and switch end. For such a bargain price it looks like it was built to last.

Cons: This product is hard to get hold of when it's in stock, maybe because it's such a great bargain.

Other Thoughts: If you're into long exposure photography or you're using a tripod this product is great. Eliminate blurry camera shake!

Bottomline: If this is something you think you might need, get it anyway. You're not going to find a better price with free shipping!

Pros: Works every time. Has a half press for auto-focus and a full press for taking a picture. Very easy to use. Good value.

Cons: There are no cons that I can think of at this time.

Other Thoughts: If you want to take macro or shots with long exposure then you want this remote shutter release. The rubber for the cable is soft and not stiff at all, even in colder weather.

Bottomline: You need a remote shutter release to avoid camera shake during macro shots or for long exposures. It will work with the "bulb" function. You cannot beat the price at DX. This shutter release works very well. Quit reading this and buy it already.

Pros: Nothing bad to say. Does what it is supposed to do.
Build quality is ok.
Half press = auto-focus.
Full press = shutter release.
Can be locked for bulb mode.
Cable length is about half a meter

Cons: No Cons. Internal mechanics are so simple, that nearly nothing can go wrong, or can't be fixed

Other Thoughts: none really ...

Bottomline: If you are reading this, just buy the damn thing !!! You can't be screwed for $5 unless you are a stingy b*stard

If you are still reading this, you'll never buy it
