Pros: No more bending wires together! No more wires or connections disconnecting when you're trying to prototype! No more soldering when you just need to quickly test something!
Cons: There could be some bigger hooks, as these are quite small and cannot clamp to everything. But when these do not fit I just use alligator clips, so this is not a big deal.
Other Thoughts: DX could sell a 10-pairs pack, as it would be useful to have these also in the red color. And there could be a bigger version of these hooks.
Bottomline: Great little hooks, guaranteed to be useful if you're into electronics! Just buy two or three packs of them and be happy!
Pros: This product is Cheap and easy for the beginning and novice elctrician engineer whatever. Even if you are a pro, it can be fun/handy to have some cheap testing hooks! And THEY ARE DAMM nice small!
Cons: Its a bit small to work with
Other Thoughts: Use with Buspirate is a Cool idea! Take an old Floppy ir IDE cable, strip the unnecessary cables and saw a bit of the connector. Theyre you got a fine Testhook cable Custom made
Bottomline: Buy it! Just buy it if you know you use them. They are very handy and I first thought they where bigger. But They are like 1 inch tall and thats AWESOME
Pros: They are sturdy and seem quite able to survive for a reasonable period. They are low cost. They are easy to attach to wires with a blob of solder without damage to anything. They are nice and easy to use (not that it could ever be difficult
Cons: Maybe build quality isnt perfect. Could be cheaper (I suppose).
Bottomline: These clips are brilliant value for money if you need to probe some connection on a board since they grip well and seem sturdy enough to last for the foreseeable future. At this price you cannot go wrong!
Pros: Thin tips for fine work. You will need to solder lead wires to the tab under the cap. Fairly easy to solder. Clips fine on devices to test. Great little tool for hobbyist.
Cons: These are not top quality, but are more than adequate for hobby use. The metal contact looks well but very fragile. Still do the job and you have a pack with 10 to learn how to solder without destroy it. All one color
Other Thoughts: It'd be nice if these hooks came in other colors.
Bottomline: If you do alot of electrical testing and prototyping you will know how useful it is to have clips like these.
