Pros: -Nice build quality, with transparent plastic.-Can be used with leafs of many trees and make lots of different teas.-It's easy to use: After you boil it, just take off the strainer and that's it! No need to go catching all those leafs!
Cons: -Smaller than I thought it would be.-The holes are still kinda big, so some kinds of teas end by escaping through the holes.
Other Thoughts:
Bottomline: By this price, it's a nice present for someone who loves teas! My grandmother was thrilled when she got one from me and now she won't stop making tea, hahahaha!
Pros: Handy little item for your kitchen drawer. easy to store, easy to use and easy to clean. It even comes out of the dishwasher unharmed. I love making herbal tea with fresh herbs from my garden and this strainer is just perfect for my needs. The holes are the right size, also for those finer loose tealeaves.
Cons: Could have been a bit bigger so it would hold a bit more of my fresh herbs. Not sure how long it will stay uncracked after frequent dishwasher use.
Other Thoughts: Woud appreciate it if it came in multiple colours.
Bottomline: Just a very usefull item to have in your kitchen drawer. I bought a few extra as gifts. Nice packaging as well, simple and sleek, expensive looking.Any household should own one, you will find it very useful.
Pros: a good pratical and compact item that you can really use every day. does what its supposed to do, and it does it fairly well.
Cons: well its plastic, and i have to admit im a lil concered with the chemicals in the plastic and the hot contents this will go into. there is no certification that this would release any kind of chemicals when used with hot water, so take that into consideration.
Other Thoughts: seems to hold pretty well so i dont think that will be a problem in the long run
Bottomline: good for the price, dx also carries a set that has the shape of musical notes which is not bad.
Pros: Bought three of these. Works well, and is sturdily-built. Was surprised that the plastic is more rigid than it appears on the site, which is good since it's going to get dipped in hot water.Good for getting more tea out of your leaves, as well, since you can "squeeze" more concentrated cups of tea out of the quantity of leaves per strainer (as opposed to, say, dumping the same amount in a large pot to sit and steep, which would give you a weaker tea for the same volume).
Cons: The holes are of a good size for most loose tea leaves, but they're too big for teas such as pu erh, which come in smaller flakes. Or cheaper blends, which have broken leaves.Moral of the story? Use better tea with fuller leaves, I guess? Haha. :)
Other Thoughts: I'm not sure if the plastic will get stained by the tea, but it's just a discolouration if that happens, so it shouldn't be a big deal. Buy the yellow one so it isn't as noticeable.
Bottomline: Good, well-made tea strainer. Use better, larger leaves so that the leaves don't pass through the holes. Otherwise, it's good for several cups of tea of good strength.
