cheap gift for a child... Like me!

Pros: Pretty fun, makes a good (and cheap) gift.
Price: it is very cheap. (so is pretty much every thing on DX)
You could use it on your self if you're going to a party with a blacklight.


Cons: It can be quite difficult to write without being able to see what you are writing.
You will find yourself putting invisible ink messeges EVERYWHERE.


Other Thoughts: you could make a powerfull blacklight torch with some DX UV LED's and some spare parts...


Bottomline: Cheapness makes for a good buy.
Usefull as a generic chilrens present.

Great Fun for Kids

Pros: Great fun for kids. Gave one to my niece and she loved playing with it. Write with the invisible ink, it remains invisible until you shine the built-in UV(?) light on it. Self-contained invisible-ink pen and special flashlight all in one, so it's handy and easy.


Cons: Cap that you take off in order to get to the writing area is a bit stiff, but no big deal (better stiff than loose). No real cons.


Other Thoughts: Haven't tested it for anything "important" like currency checking. But used it with my niece, and does just as advertised. Light easy to use.


Bottomline: Fun for kids!

Pros: Very cheap, has real UV light LED which lets u see how dirty ur hands are. Light can be used to see if your currency is genuine. May also help you suntan a tiny portion of your skin if allowed to soak in the light for a substantial amount of time. Comes with a small button battery so you do not have to spend extra $$ getting one.


Cons: It look kinda horrendous and cheap. I had to press the button quite hard to get the light to shine because it uses a rather primitive way of allowing the battery power to reach the LED.


Other Thoughts: Should have come in more colours.


Bottomline: nifty gimmicky pen. Superb for the kids I would think.

Pros: 1. Great value for money! Really cheap. If it breaks, all you've got to do is pick up another one. Heck, pick up three and apply the BULKRATE coupon!
2. Pen works beautifully. Has not broken yet.


Cons: 1. If the pen runs out of ink you've got to buy a whole new pen unless you get the replacement inks version.
2. I wish the light was a little brighter so that I could see what I wrote on the wall without going right up to it.


Other Thoughts:

Bottomline: Great value for money. However, has a couple of cons.
