A hub for old/slow (USB 1.1) devices

Pros: Cheaper than USB 2.0 hubs.
Works well without any issues.
 
Cons: As a USB 1.1 hub it's limited to about 1Mb/second which is very slow for USB drives and may be too slow for some devices like webcams with resolution of 640x480 and higher.
The hub is not powered so current supplied to the ports is limited to about 100 mA (0.5 Wt) per device.
The cable is short so get an extension if you need a longer cable.
 
Other Thoughts: I bought this hub for a device which has problems with USB 2, but ended up using it for my mouse and panic button (sku.23789). It also works well with keyboards, IR dongles, RS232 adapters, old printers, and so on.
 
Bottomline: If for some reason you need USB 1.1 ports or sure you'll use it with USB 1/1.1 devices only and want to save a buck, get this one. Otherwise look at something like sku.7980.

Pros: USB hub is compact. Unit is easy to use and install. No installation CD is required. It is a plug and play device. Computer will automatically detect it when it is plugged in. Light shows unit is plugged in.
 
Cons: I had to sodler a little bit , but now its ok
-Very Very Very Short Cable ( too short for me i also need a 1,5 M USB cable)
 
Other Thoughts: I would prefer to buy the USB hubs with all the adapters on the same side vs. this one, now that I have bought this. Although, I do wish that they would space the adapters better when making it.
 
Bottomline: A very good USB Hub for cheap Price. If you need one get this it is great !!!
