Pros: -The build quality is very good-Comes with 5 adaptors and extension lead-Led indicators for charging-Mains power input and device charge output lead sockets different sizes-Charging of phones has over charge protection-Does not rely on solar power to charge devces uses internal battery, this is charged via either mains/solar.-Operation of torch does not effect power levels delivered to device under charge, obviously will reduce amount of power available though.-Output voltage varies to suit device, mdaIII (T mobile UK) 4.6 to 8.5V; Nokia 5200 4V.-Packaging is of a good quality with magnetic flip seal
Cons: -The instructions are incomplete, start with 2 paragraphs of function explanation, then go to specifications.-Unable to determine function of circuit reduction button, monitored voltage and current during charge cycle, button operation does not effect the levels.-Interferes with radio signals if leads near car radio-multiple colours during charge cycle, red, blue & green - unknown meaning-Took 2 1/2 hours to charge internal battery from mains-Took over 2 hours to charge mdaIII from flat, slightly longer than rated.
Other Thoughts:
Bottomline: Overall a very nice device that comes well packaged and for me works with phones using the usb and the small nokia adaptors
Pros: - Internal 1000mAH-battery (producers information)- A red light indicates charging, this turns green when the battery is full. - The device comes whith a lot of connectors.- Comes whith a nice box.
Cons: - It takes a long time to charge the internal battery whith solar power. - The device has a switch for circuit reduction, but there is no information about how it works.- No information about the output (It does not charge my MP3-player)
Bottomline: Smart device for backup power, this one powers my N95 whith energy from the sun.
