Pros: O.K. build quality. Has a comfortable weight on the hand. Nice to hold.Lock is good, doesn't feel like blade will come back on your hand.Has a nice clip on one side that works pretty well.Has a place to attach a lanyard.
Cons: Blade coating comes off too easily. So much for the sleek black look.I ordered three of them. One of them was dropped on the floor, a screw fell off and I can't get it back together no matter what.Doesn't come too sharp.Pouch is a joke.

Bottomline: An O.K. knife for the price. I wish one of them hadn't "broken" so easily.
Pros: Ok at first I was skeptical about getting this knife from all the mixed reviews but I'm glad I did. Beautiful knife with impeccable quality. Can't tell from the original besides the absent serrated ridges. Very solid feel in you hands with no blade wobble watsoever.. lock holds it tightly in place even when force applied.
Cons: Doesn't come razor sharp but I suppose that's easily fixable. Paint seems to wear off with time.. I guess only time will tell.Absent serrations which is actually a pro not much a con but the original had them.
Bottomline: For the price you get way more than what you're paying for.. deal or no deal? definately deal.. do not hesitate.
Pros: I was worried that this would be cheap and poorly designed, Gerber knives used to be made in America, but they sold out to the Chinese a few years ago, but this is QUALITY! The same as it always was in my opinion. An example is the fact that the edge of the blade is designed to not touch the posts that go through the handle. It is solidly built.
Cons: None. I was worried it would be of poor quality but it is great, the first knife Ive bought here and WILL buy more.
Other Thoughts: I bought this really just as a test to see what quality Gerber knives are now, and to help gauge the quality of DX products. I am happy all the way!
Bottomline: Don't worry, get it. Ive read the other reviews and I have to say the one that I got was absolutely perfect. It is solid in every way. It maybe could have been a little sharper if I had to pick out something at all wrong with it, but a couple seconds on my diamond honing stone and a couple of seconds on a leather strop and it is ...well you can shave with it seriously!
Pros: Good build quality. I would've given it 5-stars if not for the fact that the blade brushes against the side of the frame while closing.Cool mechanism for opening/closing.Comes with pouch.Has a good weight and feel to it.
Cons: Blade is not 100% aligned, it brushes against the side frame while closing.Black paint on the blade comes off pretty easily.
Other Thoughts: It doesn't come razor-sharp, but good enough for general use. It's as sharp as those kitchen knives you get at shopping malls but then you can sharpen it if you like.
Bottomline: I was impressed by the reviews and wanted to try one for my myself. It didn't dissapoint me. Get one!
