Pros: This card is nice in that I used it to bring new life into the network adapter that was in an old broken laptop of mine. It required me to install the driver for the original NIC, but that's par for the course. Once it was in, this computer was wireless.
Cons: the clamp for the antenna on the physical card itself was rather difficult to attach with my bare hands. it was like a female chihuahua getting mated by a male mastiff. other than that, the puppies were cute.
Other Thoughts: perhaps the dog analogy was a little extreme, but then again, so were the deals!!!
Bottomline: never play leap frog with a unicorn

Pros: This is a "hardware" adaption only, the electronics on the board are just for voltage changing, so no driver issues. I have only tested with an Intel Pro/Wireless 2200BG from a broken laptop and it works just fine. Because it is a hardware adaption if the mini-PCI device works with Linux then so will this. My test rig is Fedora 8 and it works great on this.
Cons: There are no cons really, just not clear why you would want one. I got it simply to use a salvaged laptop card in a desk top, and for the price (UK £4.50) it's worth doing.
Other Thoughts: No idea why the other reviewer could not get it to work.....
Bottomline: Yes it works and may save you a bit if you have a Mini PCI card laid about doing nothing.
well build if you get it to work

Pros: Well built product
Cons: I can't get it work to work with my mini pci wifi card.
Other Thoughts:
Bottomline: buy it only if you have mini card laying around and you know you can get them working.
