Pros: It works. I'm using it on an asus wireless router with openWRT. It fired right up, with very little coaxing (had to change the bitrate that mpd was using, but it wasn't bad)
Cons: Sound quality is pretty bad. Good enough for me to listen to much, but be careful if you're on the more picky side.
Other Thoughts: It's cheap, and it works. I would like to compare it to more expensive units, but that would mean that I would have to buy those.
Bottomline: That's all I have to say. If you need something like this, and are not an intense audiophile, it's pretty plug-and-play.
Pros: - It's small- No drivers needed for Vista- Also works in my Linux install without playing around with ALSA..
Cons: - Sound quality is really crappy- Build quality isn't that great, the output is already broken after a month..
Other Thoughts: The sound quality _SUCKS_. It sounds really crappy. But hey, this thing only costs 3 bucks.. One of the outputs on this thing is already broken here and is giving only audio out of the left channel..
Bottomline: I wouldn't buy it, the sound quality is horrible and the build quality isn't that great either..
Pros: If your soundcard from the internal part of your pc dies this is an ideal replacment, or if you want to make a virtual sound card and use your analog headset as usb this also works.
Cons: Little bit of static when changing the volume. There is no real con to this product unless static while changing volume bothers you in some way.
Other Thoughts: This usb to audio seems to have a built in DB gain which makes your speakers have a high output which is great for loud head smashing music.
Bottomline: If you need a small portable sound card then this is an ideal choice and very affordable.
Pros: Installs automatically under Vistano setup or knowledge needed at all.
Cons: The sound quality is very bad.
Other Thoughts: I bought this to use in a usb hub, so I didn't have to unplug my laptops speaker cable everytime. But the sound quality is just too bad, so I'll just stick to unplugging the speaker cable all the time. But I'm gonna use this for my other laptop which has a broken sound card :)
Bottomline: Good for your money, but only if you have no sound card, otherwise don't buy it.
