Pros: -Does what it should do perfectly -Works with all 4 pin male molex connectors -Abbility to convert to new sata power connectors -It is very well made out of sturdy plastic and fits very well in your molex and sata connectors -Price (extremely cheap)
Cons: The cable is a little short, however that shouldn't be a problem because this is basically just a conversion. If the cable is to short, you should blame the length from the power supply
Other Thoughts: I suggest getting 3 or 4 they are so cheap so you don't have to wait to install your drive... Just like I had to do.
Bottomline: If you need to put a sata device into a computer which only has molex connectors on the power supply these will get you out of trouble. In fact at such a low price get a few just incase you need one.
Pros: Cheap and useful for older PSU without the SATA power connector. Works flawlessly. Ease of use - straight forward connection.
Cons: The sata power cable adapter could have also provide another molex 4-pin, so that you won't be taking up a molex 4-pin from the PSU just for the SATA device.
Other Thoughts: Definitely a must buy if you have bought a new SATA device and discovered that your Power Supply don't have any SATA power connector. Getting it from DX, you wont have to have the trouble to make a trip to a computer shop to get one.
Bottomline: Works as it should. A simple foolproof power cable adapter that 'converts' a PSU molex 4-pin connecter into a SATA power connector to connect to your SATA device.
Pros: Works great and is just like one that comes in the computer or that you get at a computer store. It's tight so it won't come undone and then your hard drive is off! Build quality is excellent and has thick wires so they don't break out.
Cons: NONE!
Other Thoughts: I also bought the SATA power cable.
Bottomline: works great also if you have an older power supply that doesn't have sata power at all this will work awesome! I don't know what else to say this is a great product but it's hard to make a 500 character review on such a simple cable!
Pros: Super cheap.Build quality is good.Worked the first time and hasn't given me any problems till now.
Cons: Can be pretty tight so frequent plugging/unplugging is a problem. But most of us probably won't be doing that. It could be a pro.Nothing else - simple is good sometimes!
Other Thoughts: I wanted to add a new HDD to my PC but realised that I didn't have enough SATA power plugs... so this was mighty useful!
Bottomline: You'd probably need a SATA (data) cable as well. I got sku.9858 to go with it. Works with no problem. Recommended.
