Pros: Lets me connect my PS3 to my projector via VGA input. I have a component out cables for my PS3 so I just hooked this up to those cables so I can feed the PS3 data to the projector. It's awesome and works brilliantly. You need to do your research before you buy this product regarding exactly what you need. This is a straight converter, basically streaming the 6 analog signals into the VGA connector.
Cons: Really, for the price vs usefulness, it's pretty hard to think of a downside to this product. I guess if I had to pick a flaw, it would be with the build quality, it's not the best, its not very well shielded so probably not suited for professional use. Keep it in the confines of your house.
Other Thoughts: I was given a projector and have been using it as a TV in my house for a month. The only way I could connect my PS3 to my projector was with a composite cable because the projector only had 2 inputs, VGA and composite. With this product, I was able to connect my PS3 to my projector via component -> vga converter. Solved my problems and am not happily watching my bluray movies and playing my HD games :)
Bottomline: It's a cheap and brilliant way to connect a console to a data projector when the only inputs you get are composite and VGA and you want to watch 720p or higher quality content that composite cannot achieve.
It works

Pros: It works, it does what it's supposed to, how many words does it take to convey this, VGA on one end 3xRCA component on the other, I could go on and on all day about the fact that this works.
Cons: You must understand that this is a cable and not some sort of converter, so know the signal you're needing or you will be disappointed when it does not work.
Other Thoughts: I think that the character limit is detrimental to those writing the review and those who have to sit there and read through paragraphs of text about a cheap cable.
Bottomline: Buy this if you're sure it will actually work for your application. Google for your answers on this, don't ask here on DealExtreme... that's why I'm not going to explain it all.
Works.

Pros: Acturally works both ways with some tft monitors. I am able to take my signal from my Wii's component cable DIRECTLY into the monitor without any kind of transformers!
Cons: None!

Pros: It´s just well built.
Cons: It´s useless to connect the dvd player to the pc monitor.
IT´s NOT VGA to COMPONENT.
It´s just VGA to RGB.
Just look at google for "vga pinout".
There´s no way in hell it can transmit the signal without some sort of external digital processor.
Other Thoughts: The adapter just "adapts" it doesn't convert. Nearly all computer monitors need an RGB signal, as compared to the component (Y, Pr, Pb) signal that a DVD player outputs. To view a component signal on an RGB monitor requires a transcoder, which converts the component to an RGB signal. Many projectors and some rare monitors will accept a compent signal via their HD-15 (VGA or RGB) port. This is the intended use for this adapter.
Bottomline: For the adapter to work your display device must accept component inputs.
