The Top Toy DS is a simple, no frills flash cart that can be used by almost anybody. I loaded it up with some backups and gave it to my sister for Christmas, and she loves it.

Bottomline:

If you want a bunch of features like in-game text, real-time save, etc, you might want to look into a more expensive and more complicated flashcart (like CylcoDS, EDGE, or Acekard 2). But if you want a simple flashcart with a few features (like AR cheats) that works well, get the DSTT. It is amazing for the price.

Great flashcart. My olf one died and I bought two of these. Both of them came working and great. Build quality was fine, though the plastic had an odd feel to it. Not a problem though, all the things I did on my old flashcart worked on this one, so everything worked out great.

Uh, not much. The firmware isn't that great, but it really isn't that important. Yeah.

Get this if you can't get other flashcarts, this one does play the games you need it to, and is great for its price.

This product works great, when I downloaded the correct software. Holds lots of games and have loaded without any problems. All the kids that see it want one.

The mini card reader didnt last long but the the memory card came with a SD adapter.

This is a great flash card! Works with any Micro SD TF from 1GB up-to 8Gb. Loading takes time but doesn't Log at all. It can load any kind of Rom Games. Also can be used Moonshell for Playing Music, Video & Text.

This is a really great card when you consider all that it is able to do for such a small price.
The ability to support microSD-HC for this price is amazing. I filled up an 8GB sd card to see how it would handle it and it works just fine.

Cons:

The packaging is a little cheap but it isn't too bad. It is certainly better than the way some other cards are shipped.
Not a gripe with the card itself but with the company which seems to put a lot of focus on copy protect software that will brick your card if it isn't a genuine DSTT. Do a quick search for gbatemp online and youll be able to find a way around this. I recommend doing that any way just because you will find a lot of useful info about the card.

Even if you have no intention of playing roms in any way, you still need this. The ability To play mp3 and watch music, not to mention action replay (AR) built in is well worth The price of this card.

This is such a great card. Actually, this is my first time buying such kind of card to play downloaded games on NDS. In the market, it is really expensive to buy games from games stores that unable you to buy them because of their expensive prices and you never have a chance to play the game. But fortunately with this amazing card, I can appreciate every single games that I downloaded from the internet. With this great card, you never say no to play more games. As you can see,there are too many multimedia cards offered out there with ranges of different prices and you always want to compare which one is a good deal. The only thing which I concerned was whether this card was fake or not. Looking at the packaging, somehow it was not too promising because the label on the card was a bit out of alignment. That was only my concern: the packaging.

Official software lacks features ranging from obvious (sorting ROMS alphabetically) to desirable (folder support); bundled reader is junk and never worked reliably for me

I purchased this card 10 months ago, so this qualifies as something of a long-term review.
This was my first card and I had done some homework, so I knew about the quirks of the card (avoid putting ROMS in the root directory, avoid names < 8 characters which include spaces (i.e., "Contra 4"), us a directory sorting utility). On the whole, the card has served me well and run just about anything I've thrown at it.
Many of the limitations of the official software are addressed by the third-party YSMenu.
One concern, though, is the long-term viability of the DSTT team. Posters on the GBATEMP forums have noted that following a flurry of early software updates, updates have slowed considerably and recent ones have been focused on detecting and disabling clones rather than addressing ROM incompatibilities (mostly obscure Japanese ROMS are listed in the changelog). To a degree, this has also been addressed by third parties, but leaves open the question of when/if the DSTT will go the way of the genuine R4.

Bottomline:

Good card at a great price; limitations of official software partially addressed by third parties.
Save yourself a bit, though, and buy the card and reader separately.

Excellent service from Deal Extreme---arrived in just under 2 weeks from ordering, and great value for money!
Easy to use, and when tested, mine said they are not fake, but put the firmware with the fakekiller removed, just in case.
The micro sd card reader / writer is handy if it works.

Cons:

Unfortunately one of the usb card reader / writers that came with this bundle does not work, but it's not worth the hassle returning it.
The micro sd cards are a bit fiddly to get out as these card reader/writers are so small.

Bottomline:

Definitely worth purchasing, but be careful with firmware updates.

Pros:

This card gives you all of the featurs you need for an NDS card. SDHC, homebrew support, skinnable, easy to use GUI, and no compatability problems. For the price, it is not bad at all. The M3 real is still my favorite (a bit expensive but very powerful). But for using to play DS games and easy for kids to use, its just right.

Cons:

I ordered two of these and hav had both fail. One causes my DS to freeze at the DS warning screen with a white washed out look, nothing workes on that DSTT. The other DSTT still works, but the micro SD slot spring broke, the SD card sometimes will not stay clicked in but it works otherwise.

For the price its not too bad, I am going to order two replacements (maybe three just in case). for major software development, get an M3 but for basic gaming this is fine.

This was delivered fast to my house. This product sells for $39.99 in my local electronic store with no mini sd card reader. The price is so cheap, and I believe this to be a genuine TTDS card. This is very easy to use and store backups of your favorite games. My son only has to bring one cartridge with him, instead of 100 separate game cartridges. I would recommend this card to anyone who has forgetful kids. My son has lost tons of games, now he can only lose his back-ups. Buy this cartridge--It is amazing. It also plays mp3's.
