TopToy DSTT Card for NDS Lite + Kingston Japan 2GB TF

Pros:

It works, loaded up unofficial firmware 1.17a07 and all the current libs and compatibility is 100%. Reader and memory card work well, and all is included that you need. Updates are still being made for it.

Cons:

sticker on the DSTT isnt straight as it could be. Not that it causes any problems. The card is IN the ds most of the time so you dont see it much.

This Card works great, Iv tried around fifty games and they all work perfectly on this card.
I have also test a few homebrew applications and the all work perfectly on this ToyToy DSTT card.
The Kingston micro sd flash card that comes with it is brand new and comes new in its case. It works perfectly too.
An USB to micro card reader also comes with this pack. it is small and works perfectly
The cost is awesome and the postage time is also really good.

Cons:

The USB to micro sd card reader is a little small and not as easy to use as those big ones which you can get.
I dont think this card works on the new nintendo dsi
You have to look on the internet for the firmware but it does not take that long to find. It comes with the website on the packaging

It works great. I gave the first one I bought to my mom for Christmas and ordered this package for myself. Originally I had a 4GB microSD card but quickly realized that I wasn't going to play that many games at the same time. The 2GB card that comes with this works great for my needs although I don't use it for music or video.

Cons:

The USB adapter that came with it didn't work for me. The other adapter that is packaged with the microSD card worked fine though. Also, the microSD card slightly sticks out from the cartridge but it doesn't feel like it's about to fall out.

Other Thoughts:

Make sure you get the latest YSmenu for use with this.

I use v15 firmware just for security.I don't know if it is genuine or not and i don't want to open the case. All the games works perfect and the card offers lot of extra function, cheats, brightness adjust, etc.
The miniSD reader works very well and i need to use it because i can't read the miniSD with the adapter in my PC.

For thisprice you can't go wrong. The perfect choice for your DS Lite. Buy it.

Pros:

Easy to use - download the kernel from ndstt.com, put it on the tf card using the included reader, put the tf card in the DSTT, boot up your DS.
There's an NES emulator called NesDS available, which works well.
Boots up quickly (about 2 seconds from power on to main menu)
Game saves work well. I haven't tried all the features (wireless, etc.), but I haven't had an issue yet.

Cons:

Can't play GBA games without extra hardware.
Plastic shell could be stronger, but having it openable makes it easier to check for fakes.
The menu is a little ugly, but it certainly works.
As for the TF card reader, the point where the tether attaches looks pretty weak - it's about a 1mm wide by 5mm long strip of metal, attached only on one end. It could be easily bent up or broken. The hook on the end of the tether looks pretty cheap too. But hey, this is only a $2 reader, so it's not a big deal.

I opened it to check legitimacy, and it checks out - it matches the "On Sale" PCB shown on NDSTT.com
I'm new to the DS homebrew scene, but I've read that the DSTT automatically patches DLDI programs. I downloaded a DLDI-based rom (LemmingsDS from pdroms.de) and it just worked, without having to patch on my computer.

Bottomline:

It works, mine isn't fake, the price is good.

Pros:

Cheap price, it's almost like paying normal price for the MicroSD card, and getting the DSTT for free.
It supports SDHC cards, unlike the R4 I had reviewed.
2gb is a decent size for the basic DS user.
From what I hear and not from experience, this card has GREAT download play compatibility.
According to the DSTT Fake checker, this is fake, but according to the website, it is real. (I took it apart and looked at the PCB myself)

Cons:

I personally dont like this card overall. Only because of the menu. It doesnt organize the roms alphabetically like the R4.
The sticker was a little off, making me think it was fake. Not a big deal, but it just looks sloppy

Bottomline:

Its a decent card. If it was any more money, I wouldnt buy it, but it has a decent price on it for the card and the MicroSD combined.

Pros:

Even thought these were not genuine items (according to DSTT site, they work perfectly. Very easy to figure out operation, have enabled cheats (had to look for English version), soft-reset, etc. Love the ability to alter brightness whilst playing games.

Cons:

None of the four usb readers I received were working. DX kindly sent replacements, so not so bad.

Other Thoughts:

Found the 2gb holds around 30 games (depending on size) so perfect for kids. Easy to change games around.

Really can't go wrong for price, wouldn't worry about all the talk of fakes and genuine, if it works it doesn't really matter much.

I have ordered a few of these carts in the past and they have ALL worked perfectly.It does exactly as it says plays nds games homebrew films and music to name a few.I personally have shed loads of games on my pc and keeps every one happy

The only con's are that it is hard or impossible to get on the dstt web site to download the drivers for the cart.Just download from a torrent instead
also the supplied card reader is not worth a light to small and hard to get the card out once inserted just use an adaptor like the one supplied with the micro card ;)

I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it...did I mention I love it? :P. All the games I have tested worked flawlessly. The micro SD card reads faster than any other USB drive or card I have. Easy installation and setup. Build quality is good. Fast loading of games. Price is awesome!!!

Cons:

I now noticed what people were talking about when they mention the spring in the TopToy cartridge, it is a little flakey but I'm normally careful. Had to load the firmware for the menu on. Also something with the menu, when I click on the slider bar to scroll through the menu, it seems to like to go to the options setup instead. Could just be my calibration.

Would be nice if it came preloaded with firmware and some skins. Also would be nice if the manufacturer's site had some display pics of the skins instead of just a download link.

Don't fill you card complete with games, you need room for the .SAV files. The .SAV files are created when games are started for the first time and are 512kb per game. If the card is full and the .SAV files can't be created, you receive a message that the .SAV file can't be created.

Pros:

It is a perfect cart for anyone who just wants to play games. It has built in Action Replay and it also has the ability to play movies and music. These carts are quite reliable and has a failure rate of 10% but hey its worth the money. Does not blow up your fuses on your DS or DS lite like an R4 clone would. Comes with a little card reader and a clear protector case for your cart. It is bundeled with a Kingston 2GB Micro SD card which seems to work fine and does the job. Also there is no time wasted having to go and buy a Micro SD card off the net or in the shops.

Cons:

The Kingston 2GB Micro SD card may not be an original. There is a size indifference between the other Kingston 2GB Micro SD cards that I have bought from elsewhere. Can't get the EZ flash V 3in1 to work with this cart. Build quality not up to standard. Cover stickers are never placed on properly. Micro SD spring loading. It does not alphabetize by itself for games. No software CD so you have to go to the website and download the updates.

Other Thoughts:

Buyer beware in certain countries this item may be classified illegal. So please check before purchasing this product. Perfect for little kids because there aren't that many GUI menu options on the cart they can mess with. You can also run homebrew on it to play your movies and music.

Bottomline:

Supports homebrew. Value for money. Supports 8GB Micro SD Cards. SDHD compatible. Easy to read and use GUI menu options. Low failure rate. Build quality is not the best but they are getting better. Will not brick your DS. Makes excellent presents to friends, kids and for the family, or even get one for yourself. They are cheaper if you buy them in a 3 bulk.
