Bottomline:

I use this product for weighing my Kyosho Mini-z MR02 RC car, that I use for racing. So I need a small but accurate scale.

I´m content with this product and it does what it´s supposed to do. The specification of the product is accurate except that the batteries are included.

Pros:

1) This digital scale is perfect for diabetes, weight watchers, diets.
Say, you can slice a loaf of bread and train your eye-leveling.
2) It's very good to baby feeding. My son consume only particular consistence of porridge. If too much milk then my son refuse to consume. So those digital scales saved a large chunk of our lives and nerves.

This is a very nice product for the price, a good bargain. For this price you can only get an analog scale in my country, this is much more accurate than the comparable product for the price.

None, really. Just remember that the lid is held on by a tiny rare earth magnet, so be careful around magnetic media.

I bought this to weigh outgoing mail so I can put the right postage on it without have to go to the post office. Works well, and has far greater accuracy that I actually need. It's also the sort of device it's handy to have around because you never know when you'll need a precise weight measurement of something.

Pros:

Light-weight, small, fits about everywhere, nice leather case, quite accurate. I ordered it to scale my aquarium fertilisers and it works well. In addition to this I also love the blue screen, it is very bright and clear. In an emergency it can be even used as a kitchen scale. For an example, once my measuring cup was missing, I used the scale and a coffee cup to measure flour. And it worked! As well as being a great helping hand in the kitchen, this scale is also easy to clean. Nice metal and plastic surfaces became dust free within seconds... I have also used the TARE feature witch is quite handful in situations where I need to weigh my aqarium fertilisers. It helps me to mix up different powders.

Cons:

I have had some difficulties opening the plastic case. But once I learned the tric (there is a little curve at the opposite of the screen where you can put your finger) I have had no problems with that anymore.

Other Thoughts:

I also ordered the 100 g scale and the quality is as good as the 1 kg scale.

I encourage everyone to buy themeselves this scale- it is a helping hand in every situation.

the price is not bad for a digital scale and with free shipping. small and easy to carry around. I am using it for my office use... need to measure some needles in the packet of 50 pcs...easy to use... and will save up some time compare to manual counting on the needle with this digital scale

not really sensitive. My needle weight about 0.2g per piece. when i put on 49 pcs and 50 pcs on the scale... both give the same reading... this will give me a bit of hard time when i found out this... sensitivity not that great for light weight item.

Pros:

This is a very accurate, sensitive, and user-friendly scale. I bought mine to keep track of my pet reptiles' weights and it works perfectly, measuring in small enough incriments that I can track the growth in even my smallest pet. The tare function is especially useful in this application because if I need to put an animal in a container to weigh it, I can still get an accurate weight of just the animal. For the price, it's just amazing- I would never pay more for a similar scale as this one does the job as well as I could want.

Cons:

I can't really think of any. I gave the build quality a 4 out of 5 only because it's so lightweight, which kind of gives the impression of cheap- but it doesn't seem at all flimsy.

The fact that this operates in so many units of measurement means that this tool could easily be applied to an infinite number of applications- including the boredom induced "I wonder what this thing weighs in dwts" or whatever.

Pros:

I have used mine over 100 times and it is still running strong after a year and with the batteries that were supplied with it!!
I am a chef and have to use scales everyday, this has saved a lot of time because it cuts out the need for me to double handle an industrial scale. I can leave it on my bench all day and it takes up no room at all.
Believe me these are VERY accurate if you know how to calab it, I use them for molecular cooking which needs EXACT measurements and it has been excellent!
It may look and feel badly made but mine has been kept in my knife wrap which gets thrown around,dropped and abused and yet this still works as good as the day I got it.

Wasn't working at all out of the box. After fiddling with it, figured it out. Had to loosen the two screws in the battery compartment. They hold the weighing surface on. When too tight, scale doesn't work correctly at all (won't even calibrate). After I loosened them works like a charm.

Bottomline:

Good value, just hope someone with the same problem sees this.
Hint, use NEW nickels and pennies to check/calibrate. Pennies 2.5g, nickels 5g. Not as accurate as a calibration weight maybe but sufficient for most. (And if you need it more accurate, probably need a better scale anyway.)

Pros:

Good build quality, quite easy to use.

Cons:

Very short shut-off timer. Due to this it's sometimes hard to use it to measure some exact amount of things (like, for example, when mixing small amounts of epoxy). Should be more than 1-2min for me to feel comfortable.

This scale is really small. In case you need it in a pocket - it's a pro, but I wish it would be a little bigger, would be more easy to use.

I use this item for work every day and it is an absolute excellent item. It is very accurate with it's weight as I have tested it against a $600 pair of kitchen scales at work.
It's small size makes it easy to carry in my work bag as well as not taking up a lot of bench space when using it.
I also like the hard tray cover and soft leather outer sleeve it came with.

This is a fantastic small compact digital weighing device (scale). It includes a pouch which is nice, seems to help protect it as I have dropped it on my floor and it still works. I use this for many different things such as weighing out postal letters/boxes, weighing food ingredients, pet medication dosing. It is also fun to weigh random things around the house. I have used scales that were specifically sold as "food scales" and this one from dx works the same for a lot less money.

Cons:

The cons would be similar as to any small scale, batteries may die quick if they are cheap. When the batteries are running out it sometimes gives different measurements. This should be no big deal if you simply use decent batteries that have power in them.

This is a great buy, i bet it would be a challenge to find a comparable product for any cheaper.

Had it for 2+ years and it works just the same as the day i got it.

Pros:

Very compact design for weighing up to one kilo. I have owned and used this unit for about six months now and use it allot. I do custom reloading and it help dial in the loads real fast. I will purchase several more to have as back up and for gifts for friends.

None really other than I prefer AA batteries to AAA's, but will make it work for the value found here.

Pros:

I have owned my scale since November 2007, and it has not let me down once. Not only that, its still using the same batteries since install. Ive used it in my kitchen as its great for weighing out spices and the like. Ive used it for precise measurements for my jewelery designs,as anyone that has worked with gold or fine silver knows how careful you have to be when your working with precious metals. And my two younger sons have even used this scale to share out candy so that everybody gets equal shares.

Cons:

Not a one.Absolutely nothing I can think of.

Other Thoughts:

Its got a funky backlight, my toddler likes to weigh his lego bits just to see the light. So it also doubles as entertainment for the little ones.

I use this for accurate measurement of tea anf mae use of the tare function all the time. It is accurate and fast. The 2 second start up using decent alkaline batteries is more than acceptable. Easy to read LCD figures in normal light make this little scale a true pleasure to use.

Cons:

Inside the cover, yje instructions say wait fior 5 minutes for the display to settle instead of 5 seconds. No cons on anything that matters.

Pros:

Higher build quality than I expected, to be honest. For what I'm looking for, which is something small that doesn't take up too much room when I'm not using it but is handy and easy to use when I need to check the weight of something before mailing it, this is perfect.

Cons:

It doesn't retain a non-zero tare setting between power cycles; technically this is a good thing in that it means you never assume a tare, but it also means a couple more steps at the start of every session if you normally use the same container to hold things to be measured. As well, the 'manual' doesn't seem to mention what the sixth unit of measure is (GN).

Other Thoughts:

It's more a problem of the exchange rate between my currency (Cdn) and the USD, but this would be a sweet buy if the price were a bit lower.

Bottomline:

Still a great buy, even if you only plan on using it periodically like I do.

Pros:

This is a great, cheap little scale! It comes with a plastic cover and a slip on cover for the scale. I use this to balance out my helicopter blades. It is very important that both blades weigh the same and have the same center of gravity so this scale will tell me if 1 blade weighs more than the other.

Cons:

The weight range I think is the only con. It would be nice to have a larger range. I don't want to accidentally put something over the range and possibly break it.

Bottomline:

If you need to know precise weight of very light objects, this is the scale for you. It is fun just to mess around with too.

Pros:

Can't beat the price! Scale is very compact and easy to use. The pouch it comes with fits like a glove and should do a half decent job of protecting it. I purchased two of these for set up work with 1/12 scale RC cars. They do a great job of adjusting tweak, etc.

Cons:

The plastic cover is a bit of a pain to get off. First time I took it off I almost dropped the scale. It takes a while for the scale to initally 0 when you turn it on. This is a bit of a pain but wouldn't stop me from buying it.
The viewing angle of the display is a little odd. If you look at from straight above the scale, it is very faint. As you change your viewing angle to more of an angle, the display get much more clear.
Unfortunately, a 1kg calibaration weight is needed to do the calibration process. I don't have a 1Kg weight. I did take a reading with my 100g calibration weight. Both of my scales show 100.2g. The extra .2 is reasonably accurate for what I'm doing.

Other Thoughts:

For just over $10, this is a great little scale. Small, functional and robust enough for what I'm doing with it.

Bottomline:

It's a good purchase - money well spent.

I got a set of calibration weights from a stateside supplier, to check this and my larger kitchen scale. It's surprisingly accurate, within a gram even at full scale. I'm not sure why the backlight needs to be blue, which I find distracting, but it's not obtrusively bright. If you're using it as a counting scale you have to do the math yourself.

Bottomline:

I adore this scale. The accuracy was a delightful surprise, and the compactness and ease of operation make it a joy to use.

Pros:

Once again, another gadget that make me go "oh-oh" with the blue lights. This scale is really quite portable and it is really pocketable. It comes with a think slip case that should prevent from dust and dirt and maybe some water. This scale has a "zero button" (i think it is called "tare") that is good if u need it to reset to zero.

Cons:

Take a while to on. As the scale starts from zero once it has started and ready for use, you cannot put the object you want to weight first. You have to wait till the scale is ready before you put your object on it. The price is a bit "ouch" for a china scale (as compared to those I ever seen before i think).

Blue lights! So cool!

Need it? Get it! It actually worth the price.
