Pros: Camera cables were a pain to read the onboard SD card. This SD to usb adapter make it all very easy. Photo management becomes simply a mater of transferring files, something most of us do all the time.
Other Thoughts: Yes this device has been useful. Have purchased many as give away items when I see friends struggling with getting files off their cameras. From hard word to dead easy these adapters are the answer. Copying files to an SD card in this device seems much faster than same file copied to a usb memory stick.
Bottomline: If your camera uses SD cards you need one of these.

Pros: - in general, it is working.
- able to read 2-32 GB SF;
- blinkin LED shows that something going on there;
Cons: - Device is able to read/write all SDHC cards with max speed of 0.7 MB/sec. In case you're copy 8 GB data, it will take a while to wait;
- easy to lost: too many removable parts and link of course is on the one of them;
Other Thoughts: -Unless you're ready to wait oyur files copy for ethernity, better not to buy it.
Bottomline: - Practically useless device.
- Not good for big files to copy;
- Too big to curry it like a USB-stick in your pocket;

Pros: You can read content of your SDCARD, if you wait long enough.
Cons: This unit is complete rubbish. Its max speed rate is 1MB/s which is far from acceptable. It supposed to be fast.
Other Thoughts: I bought this one to match the capability of class 10 SD cards i have and so far it was waste of money.
Its a bit bulky in size and caps from both sides feel flimsy.
Bottomline: I bought this unit because some of the reviews stated that it is fast and I wanted to match the speed of my class 10 sdcards, but it failed. If you want to gamble and order this one, go a head, but be warned. This thing is slow as hell.

Pros: + Cheap Memory Card Reader + Works Well & Is Easy To Use + Works On All Platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux) + Good Transfer Speeds + Works With Sandisk Cards (and some no name cards)
Cons: + Lid is loose and not attached well, it could be lost. + Would be nice if it came with a small USB extension cable. + Very slow delivery time, took two months! + Light is bright when left plugged in, not recommended if you sleep in the same room as your computer ;)
Bottomline: Solid product with few flaws! Works well and is effective in its purpose :) Highly Recommended for a cheap and simple USB SD Card reader!

Pros: Excellent adapter and memory card reader, the card fits perfectly and works very well on all computers. Resistant material, protective covers, beautiful design, I liked a lot.
Cons: I have not found none against, I am extremely pleased with the product!
Other Thoughts: I bought another adapter card reading very small, such as cell phone, because that does not read these tiny little cards.
Bottomline: I am very pleased with this product is working perfectly adapted to my needs, I recommend to everyone because the price is great!

Pros: It is a very small and useful card reader. You just have to attach your SD or MMC card into it and stick it in your USB Port. So it works as a Pen Drive. It is easier to download my camera's pictures using it than taking the whole camera. It is good looking and it has a nice design
Cons: The build quality is not the best, but it is kind of resistant. The cover is a little loosing, but it won't fall during storage.
Other Thoughts: I would buy it again, it is very good for the price.
Bottomline: it is a nice gift for geeks!

Pros: I bought this little devide to be able to quickly review pictures from my camera while in Afghanistan. I found this little devide very usefull as you can carry it in your pocket with fearing of breaking it or getting it dirty (thanks to caps on each site) Works as intended, just put your memory card in it, put it in your USB port and it works without the need of any driver. Read/Write rates where good, and you can hot swap your memory card
Cons: as it made to read standard SD card, it's a bit big, and it may be a but difficult ton insert in your usb port if there's something in the way.. But that was never a trouble for me.. WCS, use a usb extension cord..
Other Thoughts: I bought 3 of them to be sure I woulnd't miss it or in case of a low built quality.. ended up selling two others, I'm still using it 2 years later!
Bottomline: Need one - Buy one!

Pros: This little card reader is exactly what I needed to read my SD card without having to plug my DSLR in my computer. I often use many card when I'm out to shoot pictures and videos and like to just plug every card and copy all of their content at the same time. By the time I've plug put the batteries on the charger and finish inspecting the lens & filters, I'm ready to begin postprod.
Cons: If possible, I'd like the reader to be a little smaller. The plastic caps are a little fragile but the unit don't really need them to work
Other Thoughts: Until now, every SD/SDHC card that I've tried with this reader worked well.
Bottomline: Every photographer should have one or two of these. I know that the more it goes, more computers have integrated card readers, but these readers don't always accept class 10 SDHC.

Pros: * easy to use - just plug your SD/MMC card and plug to your USB PC connection. * Do what it required - USB card reader of SD/MMC - no installation or driver configuration - plug and play * Support SD HC - very important value * Low price
Cons: * cheap plastic - can be easily break down * the USB and the SD/MMC cups are not having a saftey solution - meaning that it can be easily fall down and your may lose the the plastic door. i lose the SD/MMC door and it not harm the functionality. * Too Big, with today's minimization - i think they can come out with minimal product * ugly :)
Other Thoughts: Find some solution to the plastic doors, even a wrap can be good
Bottomline: Good product as it does what it required. i use it to read cards from my camera and Wii - not something on a daily basis. for me its good - i don't think it will hold massive work (cheap plastic that can easily break down).

Pros: Good device. Works reliably. Comfortable caps at the ends. Operating systems Win 7 without having to install additional drivers. Speed ??recording and readout is very fast (using a cards high class).
Cons: Copus a little strong. Connector to the SD-card is not tight. The card can inadvertently fall out of the socket.
Other Thoughts: Housing seems soft and I am very afraid of his crush in her purse. But for a long time I wear it everywhere with me and nothing bad has happened. Take up much space in your wallet. Maybe it makes sense to use a more versatile device SKU 59547...
Bottomline: The device is reliable, works without any problems.

Pros: Of course price is the most solid argument. For example in good Russian store, you can get something like this for doble or even triple price. And there is no guaranty that you get the good device. Also, i think that LED ligt on plug-in is useful thing.
Cons: Nothing serious. It is wide and may block neighbor USB ports.
Other Thoughts: It will be better if it was all-in-one card-reader (MS, xD. etc). May be used as a pen drive, without worring of possible card losing because it has a cap on both sides
Bottomline: It works good, the speed of working is convenient for me. Buy it.

Pros: - Supports SD cards
- Show red light when plugged
- Relative resitant polimer
- USB 2.0
- Tranfer Rate will depend
Cons: - It adapter don`t get in some of USB port, cause its bigger to get in some corner..
- The redlight seldom get off when we put to eject the Adapter, and some times keep on. That way we don`t know if is prepared to get out the USB, cause the voltage.
Other Thoughts: Says on the package that last 1000 plugs in usb port.
Mine get more than 18, let`s see how can last that china adapter.
Bottomline: Buy it, its cheap.
Here we don`t have this thing, on that price.

Pros: It's very cheap compared to others;
It''s works as fast as USB 2.0 can do: read speed: 8-10 Mbps; write speed: 1-2Mbps);
Works with almost all music and movie players that have USB 2.0 interface;
Cons: It's made of cheap plastic;
it only can read SD cards and micro SDs with adaptor which not included;
Red LED on the top of it flash annoying while read or write information to card;
Other Thoughts: It's very good to use as a flash drive with 1GB or more memory card;
Bottomline: If you need a good and cheap SD card reader, you will buy this one;

Pros: It's very reasonably priced compared to the ones in store.
It works every time.
The SD card fits in well and is easy to take in and out.
Nice small size but not so small you can lose it.
Cons: It is only an SD card reader, sometimes it would be nice to read other cards.
Other Thoughts: The colour is good. Good size. It works well.
It's kind of cool that you can see inside at the circuit board since the casing is translucent.
Bottomline: Great little card reader, does the job at a reasonable price. Just plug it into the computer.

Pros: A mostly solid card reader - I'll explain why "mostly" in the 'cons' section. Has worked with all SD cards I have including microSD when using an adapter. Since the end caps are removable, it's much easier to work with than some card readers that have the ends that stay attached
Cons: There really is only 1 big con that I have noticed so far. The end caps - mostly the rear one - have the feeling that after repeated usage they may not hold as well as they should. I fear that sometime down the road, the rear cap may fall off and get lost.
Other Thoughts: The only other thing to note is what others have said - it is fairly wide and won't easily fit into many places you might have. Not really a con, as not many readers will.
Bottomline: Good reader and a really good price.

Pros: It worked with all the SDs and microSDs (with SD adapter) i have. It is USB 2.0. It has those protective plastic that keeps the card and the usb male protected from weather and other stuff. Funcionou com todos cartões SD e microSD (com adaptador SD) que eu tenho. É USB 2.0. Vem com tampas protetoras que mantêm o cartão e o plug usb protegidos do tempo e de outras coisas.
Cons: It is larger than a card, wich means it will block adjacent usb ports, but if the usb had an extension it would be too big.
Other Thoughts: I use it everyday to make my cards work like pendrives. Note: when you want to remove it, select "eject" instead of "remove safely". Eu uso todo dia para fazer os meus cartões funcionarem como pendrives. Nota: Quando for remover escolha "ejetar" em vez de "remover com segurança".
Bottomline: It is a must have if you have cards, because not every computer has a built in card reader or an external card reader. Você precisa ter se você tiver cartões, porque nem todo computador tem leitor de cartão nativo ou externo.

Pros: - perfect adapter! - does exactly what I needed it to do. - excellent build quality - mounts sd cards perfectly
Cons: none! this surpassed my expectations.
Other Thoughts: I used this with a 16gb sdhc card that broke out of it's external case (I know, don't ask). I managed to salvage the card in this case and now use it as a usb drive. This adapter was perfect for my plan and has worked flawlessly since.
Bottomline: If you need this to salvage any sd cards, I say to go for it! The cover on the card can let you use it as a usb drive for portability and you don't even have to worry about the card falling out. It's strong and secure, and always mounts well on my machines.

Pros: In a word... WOW! First of all the price is ridiculous! Come on... $2.22 delivered by airmail. Seriously, that's crazy. For that I expected what I paid for, but was blown away. The quality of this reader is equivalent to those same readers that sell for over $20.00 locally. You simply put your SD card in there and plug it into your USB plug and you'll be transferring your camera photos and videos off in as long as it takes you to copy and paste. I have nothing bad to say about this. The device is of premium quality, and functions as described. No problems, no concerns.
Other Thoughts: I should have bought myself a couple spares before they realize they could sell them for more money!
Bottomline: Need an SD card reader (ideal for dumping photos off your camera while on holidays), then pass on a couple candy bars today and order this device. You seriously won't be disappointed! A+++

Pros: This is a good little device that gets the job done. For some reason, the memory card slot on my computer isn’t working. I figured that instead I would use this.
Cons: It had trouble fitting my SD card and the casing popped open a little. Also, there were times when my computer didn’t recognize the card reader or it didn’t light up at all. This problem seems to have cleared up since my original purchase and the computer is reading it fine. I don’t know why.
Other Thoughts: I bought this because it seemed to be the most sturdy out there for the price. The other ones are very flimsy and don’t seem stable at all.
Bottomline: It works pretty well. Why not get it?

Pros: It's cheap and works fine. The build quality is ok and the caps make it comfortable to hold it in your hand. Mine is grey-blackish, but I think the color is somewhat random, because some other reviewer got it blue or something.
Cons: Nothing really. I think it's a OK product.
Other Thoughts: I like it. Nice shape, elegant color. It works as it should. It's perfect and fast, both reading and writing.
Bottomline: I recommend it. If you need a SD card reader, this is ok for you. If you like the color and the shape, just go ahead and buy it.

Pros: Works as advertised. Speed was fine. Red light to show activity. Mine arrived blue. Has saved me in many tight situations.
Cons: I lost the stupid end caps days after first using it. No big deal as they just made it bulkier Sometimes its difficult to get the card in, because the metal mounted card socket isn't flush with the inner plastic casing. No big deal - you just have to be careful.
Bottomline: Good little card reader. Compact enough you can throw it somewhere convenient and keep it on you. I've used it when I've forgotten to bring a thumb drive with me etc etc.

Cons: The box says that it reads Micro SD cards. But there is no adaptor. For me it has not been a problem as I have one.
Other Thoughts: I have used it with a Micro SD card (and a Micro SD to regular SD adapter) in Microsoft Windows XP, in Ubuntu 10.04 and in my DVD/TDT player. I have had no problem in the device recognition. And the performance has been very good. I do not know waht else to say but he page requests me to write 500 words.
Bottomline: This is a nice design product. But it is a what it says and has a vey good price.

Pros: - works well
- great value
- decent solid build quality (not 'amazing' but very solid)
- still works great after >1 year with regular use
Other Thoughts: Bought this over a year ago, and it continues to be a great thing to have. Makes it really easy to get files onto SD card for use with my NetBook / since my Desktop PC and Laptop don't have appropriate SD card slots. The USB card reader .. just works .. no driver required, and it works very smoothly.
Bottomline: very easy to use, reliable, good build quality that it works fine over a year later with plenty of regular use.
highly recommended if you need a card reader.
great value.

Pros: it is good to use with old sd card from mobile phone as a flashdisk. the back cover stands in hand when it remove from computer, but no problem to fix it with cellotape.
Cons: I had one without problems, but colleague had problem,t hat computer doesnt recognize the card and Windoze tells us to format the card, the was not able to format. he investigated and found last right pin bent back, so there was no contact with card.
I cracked the reader with teaspoon and bent the pin back with needle. this is solution only if you dont want to change cards, but use one card as flashdisk.

Pros: Works well. Compact (can be used as USB disk).Very relable - never failed for me. Appears to be quick (but I did not measure performance). Nice design - semi transparent plastic.
Cons: An activity LED could have been a nice feature. Build quality is not so great. Lids easily fall off.
Other Thoughts: I think that a different case design could have made it even more compact. Use a slit for the card instead. could have been narrower. Also a small hook for a strap could be useful
Bottomline: Excellent value for money. Adequate quality.

Pros: Its very easy to use, its plug and play so you don't need to install anything to use it. Works in any USB ports and makes life much easier for those who does not have SD entrance (slot) on the PC or Laptop. It's also very consistent on the velocity of reading and writing.
Cons: It looks a bit fragile but it works fine until now so i really don't think it can be considered a big deal.
Other Thoughts: Its a very good idea to buy more than one so you always be sure to have one at hand when you need to use outside your home.
Bottomline: Mine have been a bit abused by falling on the ground and even stepped :S but its still working fine as it suppouse to. So if you need you should buy. I definely recomend.

Pros: Simply excellent. Fast and unexpensive. Works perfectly with SDHC with 4GB for example.
Card fits perfectly, no chance for bad contact.
Cap covers are very good to protect against dust and other things.
Cons: sad it doesn't read Flash card as well but no big deal (and other model out there).
The built quality is ordinary (plain plastic) but as I take good care of my thing, I'm sure it will last a long time.
Bottomline: Don't hesitate. If you need to read and write on SD/SDHC cards only, this it the deal!! Very cheap and fast free shipping from Deal Extreme: YOU'RE THE BEST !

Pros: Its great! It works well, its fast, works with most sd cards and microsd cards with an adaptor, including 4gb high speed sdhc cards and also 8gb microsd cards. Its fast, cheap and the quality is pretty good.
Cons: None that I can think of other than that the 2 caps on it is easy to lose, and it can sometimes be a bit big so takes up more than one usb slot.
Other Thoughts: Its great. I don't know what more to say about this! dealextreme want people to write essays about these items!
Bottomline: its great quality and works well for the price, I don't see any difference from a store bought card reader.
