Pros:

It gives off an even lighting for that size torch. It's cool color is nice. The push button to "on and off" the torch works perfectly. All the LED lights up. I was surprise at the strong and sturdy built of the battery connectors. Good for glove compartments of a car, finding key hole on the door.

Cons:

My torch had sharp edges on the inside when I open it to put batteries into the body. It feels very light and thus gives the feel that it might just break if it falls as I am accustomed to heavier torch lights. When I screw back on the cover after putting in the batteries, it screw back on smoothly as there were still a lot of rough edges. I would love to have a stronger light but I guess for this size you can't ask for more.

Other Thoughts:

Would be nice if some kind of magnetic stand could be made to fit the torch into it so that the user could use both hands in some situations.

Bottomline:

Do consider the size and output of light before buying this. Look for the appropriate one for your use.

Pros:

This is my second time I bought this light, and compared to earlier version this feels much more ridgid.
Surpricingly strong light LED's, much better than one could expect.
Very useful due to size and the strong light.

Cons:

The only problem I experienced so far, is that they became popular, members of family nick them so I have to buy more of them... ;-)

Maybe some kind of magnetic attachment or other kind of stand should be useful when using this light...

Second light I received has had some quality control issues from the beginning. The light flashes if I shake or move it while it's on. Would be easy to fix but I've got the other one which works so i'm just using it! I'm such a lazy bastard...

Solid light and does exactly what it's supposed to. Be careful when inserting batteries that you insert them right.
Doesn't have the light power to be of much use outside if you need to fix your car etc. in dark but that's expected. For that purpose i've already ordered a bigger baby :)

Taking the price into account this is a very good deal. Especially if you get two fully working flashlights!

Very very nice light, bright, blue and powerfull.
When I used it for the first time I was using with just 2 recharged batteries and 1 weak batterie, it wasn't bright at all.
Then I put 3 brand new soshine, and it was awesome.
Very nice color, makes everything look like day!
Nice black shiny color.
It's solid in the hand, you can use it as a flash for your camera, really!

Cons:

Very hard to open without breaking it...almost xD
It skretches as I open and close it, very anoying sound, trust me.

The first time I opened then, they were both hard to open and the screw threads screeched as I turned. After that, they seem to have loosened up a bit. I guess being tight helps prevent water from getting in but it is still a little hard to open

I may end up buying more of these and putting them on hooks around my house for easy access during a blackout (which we get too many of here in the Washington DC area).

These flashlights seem identical to the red and blue ones bought from a chain of import tool stores here. These are cheaper than regular price on those flashlights, but they don't come with batteries. I usually buy them on sale for less than DX price.

Bottomline:

Good solid flashlights. I wouldn't hesitate to buy again, rather than waiting for a sale at the local place.

- It uses normal AAA batteries.

I bought it just to have a backup light when the power in the house crashes.
It's brighter then I thought it would be. For 9 Leds only, it's more then perfect.
The price is good, First I didn't realize I bought a 2 pack. Later I did. The body seems to be waterproof, I tried it for fun underneath the water and after it, it still worked fine. The case is better then I first thought. Great.

Cons:

There were no batteries included.
It's hard (almost impossible) to modify the flashlight, to bad, I wanted to add different Leds in the second flashlight.
I prefer a wrist I can put over my arm, not only a finger.

There are better torches, but precious little in this price range that will compete. It is like having a bunch of the little LED key-chains held together without the hassle of turning on/off 10 individual LED lights.

I think the light is very cold. About 6000 K. And 5000 K is better - crystal white light.

I will try to use it on my bicycle. But I guess It will work for my indication on a road. You will need Alkaline or rechargeable batteries for it. Actually I don't know the exact time when I need to change 3 AAA batteries. I took one into my car.

The extruded aluminum case is very sturdy. Overall it is well made. It fits nicely in the #15342 Universal Bicycle Mount that Deal Extreme sells.

Cons:

The factory Quality Assurance needs to be improved. It's interesting that BOTH units had the same problem with assembly.

Both flashlights failed to work on arrival. I noticed that the LED end of both were rattling a little so I took off the LED end and tightened the LED section by gently grabbing the spring and turning it clockwise. The rattling went away and the flashlights started working.

Definately worth the price.

2 out of 6 flashlight that I ordered needed to be fixed, but thats a really simple work.
A con: maybe thats its driven by 3 AAA batteries, I kind of have mostly AA batteries at home. But when other product at home run to low with AAA battery I can just put them in the flashlight and use the last energy from the AAA batteries :D
They sell the same kind of flashlight in the local shops, you get 2 flashlight from DX for the same price as on here. And DX also include shipping to your mailbox :D.
I've own this kind of flashlight for some years now, and they are probably the best allround cheap flashlight I've come across so far.

This little thing is great, small, compact, and VERY bright. I bought the 2 pack for $5, and it was a great buy. I mean for about $2.50 each you can't find a better buy.
Its very bright, and small enough to fit into any pockets or keep in cars etc. Battery life lasts a very long time. I have re-chargeable batteries, and when the batteries are fully charged the flashlight shoots out a solid beam of light, very impressive.

Cons:

The click switch at the end of the flashlight might be hard for some users to click. However I find it solid and just adds to the overall quality of the flashlight.

It's amazing that such a small flash light can give so much light! Three AAA batteries fits in the inner frame. The inner frame fits well into the flash light and the inner contacts for the electricity look good. The switch to turn on/off the light on the back works well and a rubber cap protects it from water coming inside. Two small rubber o-rings protects the flash light from water coming inside.

Cons:

The colour of the light is "cold". It is sort of bleu/green.
It is not possible to focus the light

The wrist line is big enough for one or two fingers but not big enough to put your wrist in it. So it's not a wrist line but a finger line. Ha ha.

what else to say... the black paint seems to be ok.

For two flashlights, this is definitely a good value purchase. The unit is bigger than I expected, but that’s fine because the build quality is good and feels quite sturdy in my hand. The click switch works very well and it not overly sensitive. The brightness is not immense but very decent and sufficient for most situations where you would need a flashlight.

Very few negative things about this unit. It feeds on 3xAAA batteries so can be a bit pricey to maintain. It's not very compact so you may find it a bit bulky if you plan to carry it around on a daily basis.

These things are BRIGHT given the price/battery type. Light is not pure white, but white with a slight hint of blue and an even slighter hint of purple...a bit like HID car lights. All 9 LEDs worked on both lights. I am very happy with them

Cons:

The strap is useful for about 2 fingers only, but since I will mount both to my bike using sku 31871. These will replace a very similar light (not purchased by DE) that does not throw as much light as these.
One of the battery holders is not centered on the battery plate, but it does not interfere with proper operation, even after riding on bumpy roads.

Bottomline:

Im sure this is not the brightest light out there, but for the price, they are an EXCELLENT buy. I highly recommend them.
