Pros: This nice looking pouch has quality look and feel and good size to fit most phones or mp3 players plus some small accessory (memory cards, ear buds, and etc.)It has two sections. If you put your phone into the outer section, it works as usually. So you can use the pouch for your phone all the time, not just when you need to block it. There's also another (inner) pocket made of gray cloth which is electromagnetically shielded. If you put your phone there, its radio signal is blocked and it goes away from cell network just like if you went into a metal garage, metro, and etc. making you a good excuse for not being available via phone :)You can also put there an mp3 player if it's prone to catching noise caused by nearby cell phones.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: After putting your phone into the gray pocket, wait for a few seconds and try to switch the phone through the pouch, without taking it out. Without that the phone will be trying to reach to cell network using its full power in vain and will drain its battery pretty quickly.
Bottomline: Buy one, even if "just in case".
Pros: Its large enough to hold a large cell phones, Like that Blackberry Storm .
Cons: It dosnt do anything!I bought it, tried sticking 2 diffrent cell phones in it, and it just didnt work!I stuck 2 diffrent phones, one iDen and one BlackBerry Storm,Both got high signal level while inside the pouchmaybe my units defective, but it really dosnt do what it said it does.no clue whats wrong and what can i do about it.
Other Thoughts:
Bottomline: If you want a cell phone ugly pouch, then its goodbut it dosnt block the signal!
Pros: -It's very cheap!-Has a nice leather feel.-It really blocks all of the cell phone signals and nobody can call you!
Cons: -For me, the leather on the outside started to wear out and rip. =( Other than that, yeah, really good.-For this pouch to work, you'll want to charge your phone EVERYDAY. Since your phone has no signal, your phone will use more battery life to try to retrieve a signal.
Other Thoughts: I tested out the pouch. I put my phone in the pouch, used my sister's cell phone to call. It works and it doesn't ring, even when I left it on Ringtone:loud. However, I heard my sister's phone and said the same operating message. :(
Bottomline: I usually forget to silence my phone, so this pouch helps it, so my phone doesn't get confiscated! XD
Pros: a phone in the bag can't definitely get no signal! A phone only is using more energy, so your battery will need to see a charger more often. :PI have a FiiO E3 amp which is very sensitive to phone signal, it makes a lot of "phone noise " when somebody is calling. With the amp in this bag there is no "phone noise" anymore.
Cons: can't find any. Maybe another color or another size? But this is something personally
Bottomline: nice bag which blocks mobile phone signal both ways! Very useful if a phone may not be used or if a device may not receive any phone signal.
Pros: - Nice looking black 'leather feel' pouch.- It works as described.- It has two pockets, very convenient- Tries to block signals.- If it does, you wont get the standard "phone is shut down" but another one.- seems very well sewn.
Cons: - For me it wont work coz there is cell tower close to my home...
Other Thoughts: Works exactly as advertised. Can't believe it, but it does. On some phone models you can see the bars actually disappear as you just place it partially in. I've tried it a half-dozen times with three different phones, and for sure it works.IMPORTANT: If you put the phone in the "main" pocket then it doesn't work and it's just a handy pouch. But if you slip the phone in the top part so that the phone is completely surrounded by the inner wrappings then it works like a charm. So it's really a dual-use pouch. If you don't want the signal blocked, slip it in the lower part. If you want the signal blocked, slip it in the upper part.
Bottomline: Works as it should. If you need to block the phone from being connected to a network this is a cheap way of doing it.
Pros: Great product. I was wondering if it realy works before I've purchased. Now I'm using it when i don't want any phone call :)I don't have to close and open my phone again. When i take my phone out the pouch, it continues to work.
Cons: No Cons.Great Gadget.I can't tell anything wrong about this product!...........
Other Thoughts: This gadget at this price. Unbeliviable :)If you need something like this you have to buy right now ;)
Bottomline: what more could you want from this pouch? If you need something like this you have to buy right now ;)
Pros: Great price! Great build quality! Great job! When you put your phone in it and somebody try to call you it operator say that your phone is out of range - NOT swithed off! Great gadget to hide from nasty boss. Sorry, boss , I don't recieve your call maybe the GSM provider do something with the network in that time :)
Cons: No considerations! Do everithing that it is expected to do with no exeptions.
Other Thoughts: I'm not sure that it works with all the cell phones but I use ot with nokia 6230 & 5300 with great effect.
Bottomline: Don't wait buy it. Great job low price.
Pros: It's a great low cost device you never even knew that you needed. Is this thing ever cool. It has two pockets, the all gold one kills signal, and battery (see below). The front one is just a nice way to hold your cell, no signal killing here. Tested with and fits various flip phones, the iPhone, some Blackberry's....yeah, EVERYONE around wanted to try it, and they all wanted to try it with their own phone.
Cons: Alright, so this is fun. The 'signal blocking' part of the pouch works by making it so the signal doesn't have enought power to get out. Apparently, when my phone can't aquire a signal, it just keeps pumping more power to try again. After about 10 hours in the gold pouch I have no life. Regardless of the charge it started with.
Other Thoughts: For a meeting, a movie, or the dreaded Church, this pouch will offer the needed privacy without needing to go so far as to turn the phone or ringer off. I know that seems easier, and it probably is...alright, I bought it not you. I like it!!!
Bottomline: A nifty little gadget that basically replaces turning the ringer, or the whole phone off. Writing the review, I'm not sure why I enjoy switching pouches more than playing with the volume or power, I just do. It's the neat factor that really makes this a fun gadget necessity.
Pros: I confess that was suspicious, but it really works. The product has a good finish and seems resistant. Have I left with him in the rain and he has not come easily water. My cell - an N73 - was well within it. I am satisfied.
Cons: I did a test with 2 smartphones and they were "compresseds".
Other Thoughts: Thanks to the testimony I discovered how to use... It would be interesting if there were other options for this product sizes, for Palms and Smartphopnes ... Other colors of leather would also be interesting.
Bottomline: Very useful when I go to the movies and also when I meetings.
Pros: Works exactly as advertised. Can't believe it, but it does. On some phone models you can see the bars actually disappear as you just place it partially in. I've tried it a half-dozen times with three different phones, and for sure it works.
Cons: No cons at all
Other Thoughts: IMPORTANT: If you put the phone in the "main" pocket then it doesn't work and it's just a handy pouch. But if you slip the phone in the top part so that the phone is completely surrounded by the inner wrappings then it works like a charm. So it's really a dual-use pouch. If you don't want the signal blocked, slip it in the lower part. If you want the signal blocked, slip it in the upper part (you'll see what I mean when you get it).
Bottomline: Works great, super cheap, what more could you want?
Pros: - good quality, even if it's just synthetic material- works exactly as described- cheap, even if you will not use it often
Cons: - could be too small for larger phone/GPS- smells of synthetic plastic. Initially very strong, it got weaker after keeping it on air for some time
Other Thoughts: Size is 14x9cm external, 12x8cm internal.Pouch is flat, if you insert something it will take away from width. There are two pockets: the one closer to front is NOT shielded, the one at the back (with a flap over) is shielded. Do not make mistake of putting phone in first pocket and thinking that pouch doesn't block it ;-)Calling phone in the pouch gives caller "Subscriber is temporarily unavailable" message, as if he were in a "hole" without coverage. This is different from message you get when you switch phone off, because it doesn' signal your provider that it was switched off.Usage? If someone calls you, you don't want to talk and you are not brave to tell it to the other person - just slip phone inside pouch and later say that you must have gotten out of coverage ;-)
Bottomline: Get it!
Pros: Really blocks out signal without having to switch off your mobile phones. Has 2 pockets; inner one to block signal, outer to keep other stuff. Can keep 2 mobile phones as I previously imagined; very tightly though.
Cons: The message given by my telco is the same when my mobile phone is switched off. Does not help if I need it for 'maybe there was no signal' situations but that's because of my telco
Other Thoughts: Although I get the same voice message as when my mobile phone is switched off, I think it will help when I need the phone to be on standby but have to 'switch off'. Should provide measurements so customers can see if their pdas fit. My HTC Touch fits in but very tightly
Bottomline: useful if your telco provides different messages and if you need your mobile phones on standby yet cannot be 'switched on'
Pros: Its like a black Hole for any kind Handphone. If you put the handphone inside the pouch then will be blank spot of the signal. You can use this pouch as a normal pouch. There is two pocket inside the pouch for normal and for blank spot.
Cons: great build leather. looks like expensive. I was bought just for fun. Magic trick for my friend. You said you can kill the signal with your mind. This is cheap more than jammer signal blocker.
Bottomline: If you mad with your girlfriend then this pouch will be usefull... :)
Pros: Cheap! It works with my Sony EricssonFeels like good build qualityAnd again, it works!Has good stitching, and the velco works well.Blocks both GSM and 3G networks as well, so that's good.Has 2 pockets, one for blocking, other for just a normal pouch
Cons: Leather feels kind of hard, not a soft kindVery big, so my smallish phone feels kind of alone in there.. But that's all really!
Other Thoughts: Very very very good price, worth getting. It has no real use, except if you're on a plane or something, I don't know..
Bottomline: Very good, worth getting. If you actually need it!
Pros: -Works great and is cleaner/more efficient than a potato chip bag. -I think it’s worth it for the times were you don’t want to be bothered.
Cons: -The GPS device my Co. puts on my work truck won't fit into it...
Bottomline: -Get one or two.-They are nice to have and they are cheap, good price, does what its supposed to .
Pros: It is perfect way to keep the phone with power on but with no signel outside (and to be in silance mode,is to be online). That why I like DX
Cons: The first I got has been came defected, however it was replased to new one in one week.
Other Thoughts: It can be usful for every product which need to be hushed in different area: Gas station, Airplane , Hospital and were you need no radio but you want it fast when it needed
Bottomline: It is good product not only for mobile, and for that price it is perfect product.I tried it on GSM and CDMA and it blocked them both.
Pros: - Build quality is great: solid study stitching, does what its supposed to- velcro holds the flap down- contains two pockets: one "inner" one, where the phone signal gets blocked, and the "outer" one where you can store your phone normally, or other items- large enough to fit any modern phone (provided you dont try blocking a huge cellphone from the 70s!)
Cons: not the most stylish thing I've seen, but whatever
Other Thoughts: - blocked both of the different cell phones and different phone companies that i've tested it with, but likely wont block every single phone/company out there.
Bottomline: - cheap, good price, does what its supposed to. works well, recommended.
Pros: Works as advertised, calls do not get through when you have this in the metal mesh pocket. Even better that there is a separate pocket that isn't meshed that you can store your phone in when you want to receive calls.
Cons: It would be nice to see more stylish versions with this same functionality.
Other Thoughts: I would love to see other cell phone holders with this functionality (particularly with two compartments). This technology with a bit more style points would be wonderful. This may be a pro or a con based on your perspective - this unit does not appear to block bluetooth signals. (so you can listen to music from your phone while it can't receive calls, for example).
Bottomline: Great value, even if you only occasionally would need this functionality, you can't beat the price. Use this device to recapture some of your life.
Pros: - Nice looking black 'leather feel' pouch.- It works as described.- Contains two pockets inside the pouch. The blocking pocket is the one made of a golden coloured metalic fabric. The second one could be used when blocking is not desired.- Good build quality
Cons: - Will not block all types of phones to 100%.- Not a Con, however, people using it might think that it is a Con that the battery of the phone will drain faster than normal. But that is what will happen if the phone gets it's signal blocked.
Other Thoughts: - I dissected a pouch to find out how it was made. The inner blocking pocket is made from a quite a sturdy fabric. The fabric is very nicely painted with a metalic paint. As the fabric consists of meshes it creates together with the metalic paint a mesh grid, which acts like a Faraday's cage.Good quality - You can't tell it's painted unless you start scratching the paint off with a knife or similar.
Pros: -Block the signal when cell is inside.-Very light-Very cheap
Cons: NONE
Other Thoughts: A must have for gadgeters
Bottomline: ¡¡¡Get one now!!!
Pros: It can be used as a phone pouch.
Cons: Doesn't block signal every time.
Other Thoughts: None
Bottomline: None
Pros: Great quality, good price
Cons: The cell phone might have to be kept in the inside pocket for full effectiveness
Other Thoughts: Blocks signal even though I live very close to the cell phone tower.
Bottomline: Great value for the price! Works great!
Pros: This works great for me - as a case for the iPod Touch. The case is well constructed and smooth on the inside with an additional small pocket for a credit card, etc. It's perfect for protecting my Touch.
Cons: None yet.
Other Thoughts: Haven't tested it's RF blocking capabilities.
Bottomline: Great as a case for an iPod Touch - I can't say anything about its intended use.
Pros: - Tries to block signals.- If it does, you wont get the standard "phone is shut down" but another one.- seems very well sewn.
Cons: - For me it wont work close to cell tower. (work is close, and wont work there)- It has two pockets, the outter one doesn't block, and can be misunderstood.
Other Thoughts: If you aren't too close to a cell tower this is a good buy if you want to kill phone signals and become unavailable. I mean really unavailable, like if you're calling it, you get a message saying network is down. So you can actually blame the operator!
Bottomline: Get unavailable in a few seconds, but watch out if you're too close to a cell tower. Its cheap so if you need this, theres no reason to not buy it.
Pros: blocks signal as advertisedalso blocks RFID: not just cellphonesdecently sewn, with two layersdesign seals contents well, making 'leaks' of radio signals virtually impossible
Cons: there is actually an inner pocket, you have to put your phone in the silver pocket - could be confusing at first.
Other Thoughts: I use it to block the signal of my RFID transit pass. For my cell, it does what it says: by blocking the signal, the GSM network thinks my phone is out of reach when someone tries to call me, resulting in a message to the caller. After a few hours, the GSM network should accept your phone is off and thus treat it as such. It all depends on the network you are on.In the restaurant business, you could use it to block a ringing phone someone left in the wardrobe without turning it off.
Bottomline: A good product, hard to find and a relieve for those who need it. For others, it might be a fun gadget equal to building a shield from aluminium foil.
Pros: Works as described. When you put your cellphone in it will drain the signal to zero.
Cons: -No practical use in the US. The phone will still ring and go to voicemail so it seems as if you are ignoring the call.
Other Thoughts: I wonder if it will work as a passport RFID blocker pouch?
Bottomline: If your company plays a different message when you have no signal then go for it!
