amazing simply amazing :) i thank DX very much. i use it almost every day. and it has saved me lots of time from switching from game to game. it is super easy to use and has instructions.

anyone who owns a DS should deffently own a R4DS, makes everything just so much easyer. and i love the fact that ou can out movies on it too. i use that all the time for a long car ride or if i know i'll just have to be waiting around for a while. than i'll watch a movie on it

Pros:

Have had this for almost two years now, still working flawlessly! Exactly the same as the day it showed up.
R4 has been around quite a while and is well proven; why I got it in the first place, and it still shows!

Cons:

SDHC isn't supported but maybe this has since been fixed.
That would have to be the only downside to this item.

Has been perfect and reliable since the very first day. Never missed a beat and no problems with the build quality or any other aspect of this item.

very complete package. has case for r4, though i download all my games so i never need to take it out of the ds. great deal because it includes a microsd card and adapter. has easy to understand instructions + installation cd. cheaper than anywhere i've found in stores

this product is so great! i bought it even before my ds came to the mail. i could not believe my luck when i saw the price, the cheapest i found at the mall was $100. there are so many sites online where you can get games, you will use this r4 for sure and get your money's worth. you can also look at pictures, play songs and VIDEOS! just need to download a converter to play videos.

NONE. if you have a nds, you must get this

never had a problem with the software. i have seen reviews of other products where people cannot open a game, but i have been able to play every game i downloaded

You have no idea how much excitement this caused for me and everyone I purchased one of these for. There is NO reason NOT to get one of these if you own an NDS! In fact, I'm getting some more for friends and family. =)

The "instructions manuals" loaded on the CD software aren't the most well written. The one for skins really isn't all that helpful. That aside, this is an awesome piece.

I don't know if the new slide-in mechanism is better than the old spring mechanism.
It's quite hard to pull the micro SD card out from the DS card with the new mechanism and it's possible that the SD card slot won't hold the SD card so firmly anymore after a while, which means you could lose your SD card.

OMG this is such an amazing product.... bought one for myself to see if I could work it out, I couldn't believe how easy it was!!! It means I can carry my beloved ds in my handbag with all my favourite games on one card. No more hunting around the house for those silly little cartridges!!!! So far the R4 has worked flawlessly on every game i've tried.

The Kingston 1GB TF/MicroSD 1GB Card is genuine. It came sealed in it's original packaging. I used the website to check the serial number on the packaging and i was told it is 100% genuine (I had to ask Kingston for an english translation of the email they sent me as i don't speak Chinese). The Kingston 1GB TF/MicroSD 1GB Card is hella fast and has given me no trouble at all.

The MicroSD card reader is fantastic. Small, has a little red light to show power / activity. Fully plug and play (no drivers needed) and works every time.

The MicroSD card reader i received is the black / silver model, not the fluro orange one.

Pros:

Well, the newer version say that they don't have the spring loader. The manufacturers removed it because of complains of the spring malfunctioning

After much thought, the new solution is in fact a better solution than the spring loader (as they claim).

Cons:

Along with the newer version, the case does not protect the chip contacts (that talk with the NDS) as much as the original ones did.

But honestly, you're not going to take it out very often anyways, so the contacts are always protected by the DS.

Works well and takes almost no time to get used to. The quick reset feature is awesome. I haven't found a single compatibility issue yet.

Cons:

The trimming tool isn't the most effective I've found. If you have a large number of files that need trimming, you really benefit from finding one that can do it in a batch format.

Other Thoughts:

If you haven't seen a micro SD card, be prepared. They are tiny. I was a bit shocked that so much information could be stored on such a small card.

Bottomline:

Works as advertised, although you'd do well to look for another trimming tool than the one that comes on the disk if you have a lot of files you plan on adding.
