- Works like a charm;

- Works with Elgin SAQ-24000 air conditioner (as Samsung);
- Soft buttons;
- Comes with a built-in flashlight;

Cons:

- Doesn't come with a temperature meter (but it's not a problem).
- There is no backlight;

Other Thoughts:

I spent about 6 minutes using the automatic search to find the correct device (from 000 to 610), because I didn't know the brand. But if you know it, you can set it in less than 1 minute.

Bottomline:

This is worth a try, even if your A/C model isn't listed. I'm very happy with it. Buy it! It's a great product!!!
I will buy another one!

I didn't find support for my aircondition under any of the remotes at DX, but I bought this one anyway, just to try.
When I got it I realized it had an auto-scan function, that made it really easy to try all 1000 codes.
I have a Matsui AC, and found that code 878(Fedders) works perfectly with all it's functions!

Cons:

I see no downsides of this Remote. Works 100% perfect!

Bottomline:

This is worth a try, even if your AC is not listed.
Mine worked perfect after scanning for a few minutes.

Pros:

Very good quality, well finished. It looks better than the original controller and it has a led that works as a flashlight.

Cons:

The auto-search function is a little bit slow, it could pass the numbers faster because if you want to discover a code among one thousand it will take a long time.

For the ones who are looking for a replacement of Gree's remote controller I can tottaly indicate this controller. It replaced very well the original one. For reference, the Gree original remote control is type Y512.

Bottomline:

If you are looking for a replacement for Gree Split Air Conditionair this remote will fit your needs. The remote worked out of box for Gree since its code is "000".

Pros:

Good for a huge number of air conditioners, some of them ancient.
Programming is easy - just type the number from the table and you're done.
The price is wonderful for such a useful thing.

Cons:

Couldn't find any.
Maybe the glowing on-off button doesn't glow enough, but that doesn't really count as a con.

Other Thoughts:

I bought it for use with an old Elco air conditioner and was not sure it will fit. However it worked perfectly. Just punched in the code from the table and that was it.

Bottomline:

Nothing bad to say. I'm very happy with it.

Excellent build quality (seems better than the original remote!)
Flashlight function is surprisingly useful.
Works with Elco Hi-Tech 2 air conditioner (which is an old model and I didn't believe I'd ever find a remote that can operate it!)

Cons:

There seems to be a timer function but it's apparantly not trivial to use and the user's manual does not explain how to operate it.
Some functions on the original remote (such as "sleep" mode, "I feel") are not present on the universal remote, but that is expected and reasonable.

Bottomline:

Excellent product.

The advantages of this model is that the number of codes is one thousand. This means that this remote replaces about a thousand models of air conditioners. Power on qualifying, and therefore control can be used in absolute darkness. The same console is equipped with LED light. And also it can set the clock.

Cons:

No.they simply do not.

The enclosed instructions are code table, as well as written, how to configure the remote. There autosearch code - it is very convenient, especially if your air conditioner is not in the table.

Bottomline:

I believe that the universal remote is very well replace the original remote control, as is much cheaper, easy to set up and convenient to use in everyday life.
As a company Changhop I do not doubt it, take it a long time. Tak that I will continue to enjoy.

Tried for Samusung and LG. Base function works nice.

Cons:

Mode function get mismatch with LG split A/C.
If i set the Fan option, the display in A/C get switch off.
And also , F.cool function set only 21 degree. Normally ,it will set 18 degrees.

Other Thoughts:

Need to fix Mode function to fit for all A/C else the remote would be waste.

Bottomline:

Dont buy for LG a/c . you will mess up for some function.
May be,it would work fine for other brads...

Pros:

Very good build quality. Good display. Long life for batteries (compared to ther brands I used in the past).

Cons:

It is calimed to be compatible to specific brands. In my case (Electra) it misses the temp sensing feature that there is in the OEM remote control, so it cannot work in the same mode ("I feel" mode).

Other Thoughts:

F.heat and F.cool are idiotic features. If the ambient temp is lower/higher than the set temp by the user, the AC will heat/cool at the same rate as it would if the temp is set to 16 or 30 degrees.

Bottomline:

Good value for money.

Pros:

This is a nice unit in total and i am very happy with the purchase.

* Good build quality (i was actually expecting worse, but it is surprisingly good)
* Easy to use. Although the actual code inside did not work for my aircon, the automatic detector worked fine and it actually controls most basic aspects of the aircon!

Cons:

* No batteries included, but do not really care
* The main drawback is the fact that it says that it has backlight. NO BACKLIGHT. It instead had an LED light at the front, so you can use it as a flashlight, but still you cannot see the display in the dark! lol
* It is a bit bulky. I expected it to be a bit more slim so i can carry it around in hotels easier, but i guess quality and slim don't go together at that price. And i prefer quality (endurance).

Bottomline:

Excellent buy! Recommended for travelers or those who lose their remotes all the time!

I'm an a/c repairer and always keep a few universal remotes. These are the cheapest and best by far. Local a/c parts wholesalers sell universal remote for $40, but these are so cheap I can keep them in stock to use for testing purposes, and to sell to customer much cheaper than they can buy here.
They even work with the really old analogue remotes, ie old fujistus with mechanical sliding contact setttings

Bottomline:

Get one for spare in case you break or lose your remote, they are cheap and they work well

Has a torch on the fromt which comes in handy for seeing in the dark from time to time.

Cons:

The timer doesnt seem to work on my Air Conditioner - Im not sure why as the instructions really didnt seem to address how to set it.
everything else works perfectly.

As mentioned, the flashlight is a great touch, easy to find as it has a glow-in-the-dark button.

Nice unit, very handy and better than the old universal I had.
there is a spot on the back to write your air conditioner code on the back - don't forget to write it in so you don't have to stuff around when you change the batteries

Pros:

i just got this literally 10 minutes ago. it only took me MAYBE 2 minutes to get it set to work on my a/c unit. if you follow the instructions, you should have no problem setting the remote.

Cons:

no batteries... but i just took the batteries out of my heater remote and put them in my a/c remote. obviously won't be using both at the same time. =]
also has features on the remote that aren't available on my a/c, but i can always use it for another unit if i get a new one.

Other Thoughts:

overall a great buy. i bought my a/c unit from a friend and they lost the original remote. if i had bought the factory replacement, it would have been over $30!!! this was less than $7. can't complain about that!

if your unit doesn't have too many special features, and you just need something to turn the a/c on/off or set the temp, this remote fits the bill perfectly. i would definitely recommend this remote to someone looking for a cheap replacement!
