200mW Green Laser Pointer Pen Black

Pros:

its a very brigt green laser, i feel like a jedy in star wars! if you wanna be seen, you got it. it came in a nice black box, with the bateries (you need other batteries more alcaline), but to proobe the product its fine

Cons:

it feels like cristal in my hands, like fragil, the contact with the batteries is poor, the "on" button looks fragil too.

you get to be carefoul with this laser, it can be dangerous to the eyes, i never never provide this laser to my child (he has 11 years!!) so, take conclusions,

good laser, fragil, but good, if you wanna have fun buy it, if you wanna a durable laser buy other laser ore one red laser

* Extremely bright green laser, hurts eyes to watch the dot, so I recommend using some safety glasses with this!
* Burns matches and thin black plastic.
* Works like dream when pointing at the night sky (don't point at air planes ;-).
* Really awesome toy for adults only!

* My pointer didn't burn matches with 1.2V AAA-rechargeable batteries, but when changed to 1.5V normal batteries it started to work.
* Too powerful for indoors pointing.
* I can't tell this too many times, but this laser is so powerful that you really need safety glasses and be very careful.
* Absolutely not a toy for kids!

- Uses 2 AAA batteries, which are easy to get, and cheap

- build quality could be better
You can hear and feel the batteries move in the compartment. Sometimes the beam was less bright, and after a soft 'shake' it returned to it's normal strength.
I had to adjust the spring a bit, so the batteries make better contact. This solved the brightness problem.
The on/off button feels ok, but could be better.
Do not carry the laser in your trouser pocket, you might accidentally push the button...

Other Thoughts:

This product can be dangerous. I really advise to take care where you point the laser at. The refection of the beam (mirror or glass) hurts your eye. Also be careful at night, as not to point it at passing airplanes!
The beam is very bright, and clearly visible at long distances. Really, you can't compare this with the small <5mw lasers.

Bottomline:

A very cool, albeit somewhat dangerous gadget. The beam is very visible at night, and somewhat visible in dimly lit environments.
The AAA batteries are cheap and easy to get. I cannot say how long 2 batteries last with this laser though.
Price is a bit steep, but considering the fact these things aren't available in my country, it's ok I guess.

Pros:

This laser is now becoming part of my laser collection, still a bluish one to get. I also have a red one, with focusing. I have bought this one because of color and NO focusing (focusing ones can have a smaller point but are a pain to adjust :/). Manipulation for burning is easy againts focusable one, you can move slightly for adjustment without to have to re focus. At the opposite, the point is bigger and so more time is needed to achieve burning.

Cons:

None except opening need to be kindly done. A switch (on/off) instead of a push putting cold be better for long burning time (moving aside a rule)

Anyway, a good buy, laser for small price. And some other said, really strong and can serve to "light up" the night. Still to try with lens ;).

This is a really great laser pointer, I've owned it for about one and a half year now, and it still works fine.
- Really powerful beam, tottaly visible when its dark and still visible when its bright.
- Uses AAA batteries, they are easy to get, you can buy them in a regular shop.
- It has worked fine during my whole ownership.

Cons:

There aren't many cons really, just a few where some doesn't really count.
- After about six months the button got a little hard to press, but still works fine
- The painting gets scratched over time
- The price may be a little to high, but if you compare it with other internet-sites selling them, its quite cheap!

cheaper compared to similar product here in my country (almost half of the price).
The battery are easy to find (AAA).
The intensity seems to be improved if using Alkaline battery.

Cons:

not a toys! very dangerous to the eye. must keep away from any children or teenager who like to play things without thinking!
I have once hurt my eyes by looking at the light that accidently reflected by window glass.
it is not a pleasant experience, lucky that it is only a second (or even less) so my eyes are not in danger.

Could be use as self defense? although it is not easy to beam on the 'villain' eyes that attacking you.

Pros:

Thin beam. Decent columation(how parallel the beam is). I like the button click and style of the laser exterior.

Cons:

This is a 200mW laser (maybe 150mW). But only 30 to 50mW's is actually green. The rest is infrared.
The beam is not consistant, dims often and returns after a while.
When the beam dims it dims to less than 5mW.
The laser is a 5mW green laser pot modded to 40 or 50 with no infrared filter.

Other Thoughts:

being that only 50 or so mW's are visible green light, the 200mW label is misleading, but should be treated as a 200mW laser because of the infrared light that comes out.

Bottomline:

Visible beam at night, good for pointing at stars.
Burns only with an external lens.
200mW 30-50mW being green, the rest is infrared.
Cheap.

Pros:

- Cheaper than other green lasers
- If you ger lucky you might get one that burns stuff, otherwise you can get a pretty much 50 mw like laser

Cons:

- Not all of them can burn, the power output of the devices vary A LOT so it's up to your luck
- The size of the dot vary too from laser to laser hence the hability to burn stuff and reach large distancies with the beam
- AAA batteries not suited for this power consuption, they will most likely last for a couple of hours of use with this

I seen more than one of this units here from dx, and sometimes people get lucky and sometimes not, it really isn't worth spending
50 bucks on something that might not work as expected

if you want a burner laser buy the RED 200 mw focusable (sku.11315) It's cheaper and more powerful than this one
if you want a nice green laser to show up and have fun at night I recommend the 50 mw version (sku.2390). It's much cheaper and there is not much of a difference from this 200mw one as far as visibility at night goes and the batteries will last A LOT more

Pros:

Uses AAA! You can find battery anywhere!
This thing will shoot green beam to moon, or maybe to Jupiter. Of course it takes 4 hours to reach Jupiter but I'm sure I would see the beam on IO (Jupiter moon) if I look on telescope 4 hours later.
You can see beam in daylight, and please don't look at beam! You will go blind instantly.
No kidding, seriously this thing is very powerful and it will shock/awe/mesmerize anyone immediately at night. It should obviously be illegal, but it is not! BUY IT BEFORE IT GETS ILLEGAL!

Cons:

The construction is typical cheap laser pointer construction (crooked.) Even though the container is metal (aluminum) the button is plastic and not good quality.

Pros:

An extremely bright laser.
Excellent at night (especially foggy nights!)
Creates fantastic patterns in smoke, and if you bounce it off a piece of black plastic onto a wall, you can see the reflection of the plastic melting and stretching (very cool).
Very well made. Well packaged.

Cons:

The price is relatively high.
If used in cold locations (England :)), the laser will not function at its full capacity, and the diode needs to be warmed up (In your hand or something) before it can be used properly.
It used batteries quite quickly.

Bottomline:

If you want a very bright laser, this is it. Don't expect it to burn many things (get a red one for that) and don't expect it to be very noticeably brighter than a cheaper, weaker green laser.
On the whole a good product.

Pros:

Simple to operate , good heat maintenance , burns the inner contents of the laser gift box (the box the laser come in) very good , stings skin . Nice visual design. Small and light , solid metal construction . Bright dot at sunlight, blinding dot at night (close range that is). The beam is clearly visible outdoors at night and visible at day - indoors.

Cons:

Could not make it burn anything (even black material) except the inner contents of the laser gift box. The beam focusing lens (most likely) is not aligned precisely, resulting in a deviating to the side beam as it exits the laser (the beam has a different orientation than the housing).
The laser is a battery killer (the batteries discharge to a non-burning level in minutes of continuous operation , and the laser will start to dim after 15 minutes of continuous operation). Additionally, it will not work good with non alkaline batteries.
From time to time , the laser beam would slightly divide onto two ,three close to each other beams (perhaps temperature temperature effect? )
Although not serious, I hope that these are the only problems i would have to face from now on with this laser.

Other Thoughts:

At sunlight - when you point the beam right in front of you and when you point to a distance of <10 meters there is a clearly visible bright green dot.
At night (street lights illumination) , the laser operator will see an infinite bright beam of green laser light from any angle of view.
An observer toward witch you point the beam, will see a bright beam (tunnel effect) within a field of view of 10° ,and a weak beam within 10-30°. If you point the beam higher than 40° above the observer , the observer not see the beam.

Bottomline:

This is a bright enough laser pointer. You don't need a laser more powerful than this.
The laser pointer does everything you would want from a laser pointer. In my opinion - for it's price - it's a treasure for someone that is interested in these.

Man this is a powerfull one!! It is very bright!! Usee googles or you will damage your eyes just by pointing something white...

Man it almost eats the batteries litteraly... with weak batteries it is still nice but don't burn things....

Well I think it is pretty much that!! I can't see a lot of difference in the beam at 100mw or this one, but it is a littl brighter...

-The beam shining at the sky goes as far as the eye can see
-It uses AAA batteries, so it is cheaper
-It is very strong
-Very bright even in the day time
-Comes in a pretty nice case

Cons:

-I guess the only thing wrong with it is that sometimes even with full batteries, the diode may not shine so bright, and have a very extremely faint light. this of course, fixes itself when it is returned into your home from being used too much in cold weather.

An excellent laser pen if you are interested in these kinds of things.
One of many lasers that I own, and 200MW is enough to pop a balloon, and blind somebody.
Should play with anti-green laser glasses, to prevent eye damage.
Don't point at anyone's eye, it actually would cause serious damage if it can pop any balloon in less than 2 seconds.

Bottomline:

Buy it or you'd be wasting money on other lasers.

Pros:

It`s not the best, but it`s the most powerful green laser that you can buy for less than U$D120 and just for U$D56. I`ve potted 5mW greenies and get to a similar output power but just for one second and the the KTP heats up and divides the beam.
-No IR FILTER (an advantage for me, I don`t want to pay extra money for that)
-Hurts your eyes easily, it means that is Very Bright.
-ULTRA visible beam. It`s a solid green line.

Cons:

For it`s price, it has no cons.

It`s really visible for about 3 or 4 kilometres. It burns easily when have good batteries. It EAT batteries, but it`s not a cons for me.

Excelent product, very bright beam even on daylight, last week we have a lot of fog in the morning and the beam was visible for a mile on the fog. Burn stuff quick. Could light matches and blow ballons.

Eats batteries, not even try to use AAA rechargeables will last for seconds and dont get peak power.
Who cares about batteries when it goes for the 200mw power?

-Not as powerful as i thought. i shined the beam on a piece of paper, but it doesn't seem to burn.

It came in a nice little box with 2 AAA batteries which didn't last too long, I suggest using good brand batteries or better yet, rechargeable ones. Also, this is not a burning laser, if you want to burn stuff, get a red one.

Great fun! It's best used outdoors in the evening or night, to point at distant objects. You can point at the sky and the stars! The dot shines brightly on faraway objects, in fact, it's a bit too bright for indoor use.
Highly recommended.

Pros:

I had a 50mw same build before. This is 4 times as strong so about. (So if that was 30mw, then this is about 120mw.)
The beam is visible in a lighted room, but not in sunshine. Burns grey plastic (I uploaded video and pics).
Maybe this is a new build, but button is not loose (unlike on my 50mw).

Cons:

If you look at the point from close, then it is not the best feeling for the eyes. Buying safety goggles would be a good idea.
A big con is the low temperature range for operation. The instruction says 20-35 Celsius. You might use it below, if you warm it up. I could not try it on higher temperatures, but they say then the beam is split and output is weak.

Bottomline:

I bought it just for fun. I think this will serve this function well. :-)

I recieved it and I warmed it up in mine pocket.
The strength is the same as a True 30mw, also it looks like there are 2 beams near each other.
It makes a loud sound if you open or close it.
So the output is like 30mw I think.

I had putin 2 fresh aaa's but it looks like a bad buy. Dont even think to buy this one! and it even cannot pop a balloon!

Working good, price is better than in other shops for same thing. With good alkaline batteries visability of a laser is very good, up to 2km. ALSO, visible at a day time
