Designer's USB Power Adapter for iPod Style

Buy it. Many ipods don't come with a wall charger and it's really annoying to charge them in the PC everytime. This product has a great price and it's perfect for every situation.

Great product for a great price. I'm using it for almost a year now and no problems. I'm using this product day by day and i didn't find any flaw so far. it's small and compact yet very efficient product , I'm using it to charge my iPod outside the house and it does a great job. i know many charges have this problem with Apple products of supplying the right power and this charge doesn't suffer from this issue.

absolutely no cons. it does exactly what it suppose to do.

This is a good charger for the price, the design is inspired from the apple macbook charger's but it's actually 1,5 times smaller.
The mecanism that allow the plug to rotate is ok, but I don't know if it will last in the time.
Fortunately the plug adaptor is usable with macbook's plugs adadptors so if you already own a macbook, it will usable in europe

Cons:

Not compatible with EU plugs !!!!
This is only available for US plugs : it comes with a flat plug adapter but in europe, plugs are rounded.
The build quality is ok but not that good.
It makes some annoying noises when not charging anything, but stops when it charges the iPod.

Bottomline:

If you are in US, buy it !
If you're in europe or in any other part of the world and you already own an apple macbook, buy it !
But if you're in one of these two cases, keep your money.

Pros:

I really need something like that because playing on my iPod Touch was almost impossible. It keeps me away from the usb ports of my computer since I bought it. I recharge anywhere in my home and airports.

Cons:

Seems to be too big as long as you dont use the other cable function. There are smaller versions on DX with similar price tag.

Other Thoughts:

If you dont have to much space while travelling , you should get a smaller charger.
Compatible with any other usb device.

If you play games on your idevice, you must get it

most importantly, it works 95% of the time!

sometimes I get a messege popping up saying that the charger is incompatible. that happens only five percents of the time but it's kinda annoying
there's also the soft buzzing sound when you plug it into the wall. not sure at all why this is happenining

-Easy to use: All you do is plug in your ipod via your apple ipod usb connector and plug in the adapter.
-Not overly too bulky. The adapter will fit in the palm of your hand.
-The colour and finish is not exactly comparable to an apple ipod. However, the surface is smooth to the touch.

Cons:

-The prongs are difficult to move. I do not understand why the prongs are so difficult to move to the extreme open position.

Bottomline:

For the price, you cannot beat it if you need a wall outlet charger for your apple ipod devices. The adapter works and I have not had any problems with it so far.

Pros:

- Seems to be 1A, no idea how to test it

- My usb socket seems different from what is on the picture. It has a circular ring around it without any text.
- The plastic is not well moulded and have gaps along the edges
- has a small buzzing sound when used.

Pros:

I bought this to charge an iPod touch 3G and it seemed to do the job fine... until it blew up.

Cons:

I went on a trip to China and while in a hotel, had plugged it in to charge. After a couple of minutes the breaker for our room had tripped and we lost power in our room. Examining the charger, it had a loose part rattling on the inside and burn marks were visible around the plug area.

Other Thoughts:

While in Canada, it seemed to charge fine, but the iPod flickered between full charge and charging instead of being steadily on full charge.

Bottomline:

It'll charge if you're using 110V, but I wouldn't trust this in China or wherever there's more voltage involved.

Pros:

Much cheaper than Apple's, fits with Apple's real connectors, charges my iPod touch second generation well.

Cons:

More expensive than some other chargers on DX (although mb they are worse?), poor build quality (although plastic is not flimsy, parts do not fit together well), after less than 1 day, one of the outlet prongs came out of the charger and got stuck in the outlet (but it went back in just fine)

The packaging and booklet are full of lies--they say it is an apple product and it's not and they say it is under apples warranty but it obviously isn't cuz it's a fake
they even put apple logos on the sides of the charger and copied apples design in many areas exactly

Not mad that I got this charger, and it works great with iPods, but maybe you should try another one and see if it's sturdier. You might not have the same problems I did.

Pros:

This product does what it says it does. It's cheap and looks very similar to the real deal. It gives off 5V which is normal for after market charger. You can use this with any device practically if you have a USB adapter.

Cons:

I didn't read that this only gives off 5V. It charges super slow, because I am used to having an old 12V, which charges super fast.

Bottomline:

If you need a charger then buy this. I heard others are very faulty, but this is very good. You can probably pass this as the real charger!

-It's 1A, instead of 500mA, so it charges iPods and iPhones really fast.
-It can be used to charge other devices, such as a PSP, a mobile phone or another kind of mp3 players.
-It's really close to the apple's one.

-The color isn't actually white, it's like a kind of toasted white.
-European connectors don't fit ok(Not the same color and european connectors leave a little space between the charger and the connector).

I had another chinese AC adaptor to USB and had problems with it, this one is ok, it's working without problems and looks robust, so I think it will last more.

Looks nice, but I ordered this item and got only the adapter with a European plug adapter. Since I'm in the USA, this makes this item fairly useless.

Decent build quality, for the price I expected a little better, but still acceptable. Great packaging, comes ready for resale, includes safety/instruction booklet in English. Looks like the original USB adapter Apple. Power prongs collapse for travel, and can be replaced.

Cons:

Makes an audible hissing noise when plugged in but not connected to device. This is common and all power bricks do this. Some are just more quiet than others. Feels a little on the light side. Power prongs are hard to move the first time. After that they work great.

Bottomline:

While this may not be the cheapest adapter here, I have had great success with it. If you are looking to re-sell the packaging is top notch. Based on all the reviews I have read this seems to be the one to get.

Pros:

The adapter comes in counterfeit Apple box. This isn't reassuring. I wanted to use it as general usb-charger, but it didn't charge my SonyEricsson K810i. When my iPhone 3GS arrived I just tried it again when I couldn't find my original Apple adapter. And it works! 5 doller is about 3 euro so it's dirt cheap.

Cons:

Well, it may be coincidence it didn't work on my SE K810i, so it may be not a universal as you think.

It's bigger than the original Apple adapter and recently more adapters are offered, some of them including a European plug, and cheaper as well. So check out the other reviews before buying.

I should like you can buy it with european plug only. Now you have to buy this Power Adapter with US plug and sku 13354 (european adapter). Now I have an US plug in drawer.

This is essentially an exemplary copy of Apple's OEM adapter. The build quality is equal to anything I've seen coming from Cupertino. It works perfectly with my iPod Touch 2G.

I priced this same adapter at both an Apple Store and MicroAge; an authorized Apple reseller. The price in both places was $29.00-US
At first, I was concerned, from a safety standpoint, about overheating, or other electrical problems. Many of these types of products coming out of China are NOT tested to US UL standards. So far, this has performed without mishaps.

A great product priced as it should be; without the ridiculous mark-up.
