M3 Real with USB TF Card Reader and Rumble Pack

Pros:

It's very cheap and it's not like the one I allready own, however this one works perfectly for in the Netherlands. It's working for me with an Micro SDHC card for 8GB.

Cons:

Nothing specific, however the one I owned got the MicroSD card slide on the bottom. This one has it on the left. It's a little difference but no hard feelings about that. A little difference but the software seems the same.

Bottomline:

If you'd like to backup your games and play the backupped games, use it! It's quiet easy to use.

Pros:

Very cheap as compared to other sites I was looking at. Its the real deal, not a fake. The Sakura GUI is definitly much better looking and funcitioning than other offerings.

Cons:

The build quality isn't the best but it seems like it will last a long time, so long as you are not popping it in and out all the time. The rumble pack is incredibly loud and only works with a select few games anyways

Other Thoughts:

The rumble pack should have been ditched by M3 team and the price lowered, it's a rather useless item. The card works great though and makes holding all my games on one card great!

It took about a week to arrive and the micro SD I ordered with it arrived two weeks later, which meant I had to wait two weeks to see if it worked. But it took about two minutues to put on all the software on the card and worked as soon as I put in my DS.

It is a bit of a snug fit to get into the DS, the back of the card has a large scratch down the back of it, but doesn't effect the gameplay.
It dropped $5 in price since I brought mine, which is disappointing.
Getting the Mirco SD card in the M3 card can be a bit difficult at times due to the spring loading mechanism in it, but is easy once you get the hang of it.
Hard to argue anything about it really, does everything I tell it do and even for the price I paid it still fantastic value.
Most cards like these do drain your DS battery than a normal game, but it doesn't phase me.

Bottomline:

Easy to use, cheap, reliable, cheats, real time save, no way you can go wrong. Based on its features and price I would say it is one of the best cards available. Recommended it to all my friends and family who have now asked me to buy them one each. May not be compatible with the DSi, but the DSi looks like a waste of money imo.

Pros:

- Good Build-Quality.
- Supports the M3 Sakura firmware which I think is easily the nicest menu you can currently have on a DS flash card. Nice fully-skinnable sliding interface.
- Can dual-boot M3 Sakura firmware and the regular "TouchPod" firmware.
- Through M3 Sakura, you can run many media file formats and ROMs in the same loader.
- Both firmwares are still being updated regularly for game and bug fixes along with new features.

Cons:

- The normal "TouchPod" firmware is very slow.
- M3 Sakura doesn't have great homebrew compatibility, but you can always just dual-boot into the TouchPod firmware.

Other Thoughts:

I've owned my M3 Real for more than a year, and it's my favorite flash card out of all the ones I've tried. (About five slot-1 cards and a few slot-2's.)
I'd say that the CycloDS is the most functional card you could get, although it has it's faults here and there. However, the M3 Real has the nicest and most functional firmware(M3 Sakura). You can read text, play music and movies and view pictures once you turn it on without needing to boot any homebrew, as well as loading games and homebrew.
It also just looks the best, being skinnable and it has a nice sliding interface, making it even quick and easy to get to files.
I haven't yet been disappointed by this card since I got it.
Also, no issues with memory cards so far. I've tried a 1GB SD, 2GB SD, 4GB SDHC and 8GB SDHC and they have all worked fine, in case you may be concerned with that.
Oh yeah, rumble pack isn't great, though. It's fine, but not great. I gave mine away.

Bottomline:

Buy it if you want a reliable, good impressive card for DS that's still being updated. I think it's the best choice you could make.

Had this for a year now, and it's still going strong. No problems with build quality or any intermittent software issues. Exactly the same as the day I got it. Have had occasional problem with a rom not loading but that was fixed by updating the firmware on the card which is very easy to do! So it's been really problem free! Would not hesitate to recommend especially after long term ownership of this item.

None, although I haven't tried an SDHC card on it. My 2gb non-sdhc card has sufficed over this time.

All my backup games work with the M3 DS real and the rumble pack work when it should. The M3 DS real is easy to use and also works with micro SDHC cards.

Cons:

For me the Rumble pack and card reader is just an unnecessary extra (only because I do have a card reader). M3 or DealExtreme should consider supplying the M3 DS Real card on its own to make it more affordable.

Other Thoughts:

The card reader included this time (blue transparent), seems to be of a better quality than the one (black one) I got with a previous model.

Bottomline:

If you need to play homebrew or backup games on your DS and you need a rumble pack and a card reader to read your microSD card, this seems to me like the best deal.

there are tons of stuff you can do with that kind of adapter. Ebooks, emulators (Super Nintendo, NES.... etc.) i am very happy with my adapter and i would it anytime again! the m3-real also works together with my m3-lite it's recognized as a 32mb ram extension. Even the NDS webbrowser works excellently!

This card does a LOT of things from games to music to moves to pictures and more.

It was terribly difficult to figure out how to load the software. I finally had to youtube it and after an hour finally found a video that showed you how to do it. For most this may be easy but as a novice I had no idea what I was doing and it was not explained well in the instructions.

Has multiple functions like playing movies,music, e-books, and games. The video quality is very clear and good. I have owned this for awhile and use it every day to play all the ds games and videos I put on it.

The hardest step is to put the system folder on the memory stick (about 20sec) then it's just a plug-&-play linker, very very very efficient, a lot of languages are available, I tried more than an hundred ROMs and all worked. Many other functions like cheats, pda, media player, are pleasant.

Cons:

Just one thing maybe, the price compared to other linker, but here you buy quality and a full working and upgradeable linker.

Other Thoughts:

There are so many linkers, from 6.50 to 65.0 bucks, but this one is what you need, the perfect mix between quality and price.

It supports both video and audio functions, turning your ds not only into a vast gaming platform but also a media center, also capable of running homebrew software.
Has a high compatibility with commercial roms, with great operating systems.

Cons:

Most people buy this to play multiple games, there are cheaper cards that do this like the top toy, which DX has for half the price.
The rumble pack is ineffective.
Also(I've bought a few) the build quality differs from cart to cart.
In some the microSD card holder is faulty.
With others they are a tight fit into your DS.
However ts main disadvantage is its price compared to the top toy.

- Firmware needs to be downloaded from the net, but once you find it, it's all good
- Compatible with all DS games you download
- Customiseable menu skins, makes it look a lot better
- Allows games to run smoothly.

This is a little beauty, works exactly as advertised! I downloaded the latest firmware installed it on my m2gb micro SD card, made a NDS directory and dropped some games on it. Works a treat, makes its own save files, and I have not had any problems at all. All games tried so far, about 20, run fine. Supports GBA games, where some other carts don't.

The cartridge seems just a little flimsy, especially where the micro SD card slots in. I would say that if you are carefull with it, it wont break too easily.

Really easy to use and have had no problems with it. I have purchased and made over 20 of these game systems and all have been flawless. My oldest card is over 6 months old
