Pros: - price is very low - picture is nice too, very little ghosting - I can't notice any from 1m distance (the signal is analog anyway, so the picture is a little blurry, you can't avoid this), no other artifacts. - optical out works fine
Cons: Did not notice any. I compared to my friend's original MS cable - very difficult to notice any differences. But HUGE difference in price
Other Thoughts: I read some negative comments (dated 2009) about terrible ghosting and other problems. I suppose, that build quality since then increased, because my cable works just fine with my LCD 19" (1280?1024)
Bottomline: Nothing to add, nice for this price ($8.80)

Pros: -Very clear and crisp video on my computer monitor -Very good quality despite the cheap price -Easy to use -a must for college! when you can't bring your big tv with you, it's nice to plug your xbox to your pc monitor. Brilliant idea! -Sound is very good too, but make sure you buy an adapter for the white and red audio cables. You want an adapter that converts those two audio cables into a 3,5 mm jack.
Cons: I can't find anything negative about this cable. It works just as i expected it! -Shipping took about 15 days
Other Thoughts: Great cable.

Pros: Clean picture Very minimal ghosting Cheap Clean image Optical audio long cord
Cons: VGA plug metal could be a little stronger Plastic looks a little cheap Plug went in easily backwards and pushed pin in
Other Thoughts: Great product Don't forget to check your resolution under video settings or else the picture wont be the right size I used pliers to get the pin that sunk in back out
Bottomline: For the price totally worth it. I would recommend buying if you only have one TV in your house so somebody can watch and you don't need to beg them to use it.

Pros: Extremely cheap. M$ original cost five (yes, FIVE!) times more (in Euros). Full plug and play. The Xbox360 recognizes it instantly. ***Crystal clear video, no blurring or ghosting at all*** (other users reports ghosting but it's not my case). SPDIF optical output works fine and additionally has a nice protective cap attached (you cannot loose it)
Cons: Not for technicians or people that connects and/or disconnects a lot of times the 360. The connector seems to be a little cheap ( but, what you expect for this price?) and I'm assuming that has a limited insertion/disconnection cycles since is not gold covered like the original
Other Thoughts: Maybe you need a male/male adapter if your monitor cable is not detachable
Bottomline: Cheap and does the job perfectly. Mine is connected to a Linksys KVM and there's no image degradation. Buy two!! (just in case o for a gift)

Pros: - it is pretty cheap, yet it doesn't feel cheap at all, the plastic looks quitte good. I bet you can sell it for much more if you want to
Cons: - Terrible ghosting. The screen isn't crisp most of the time, there are lines and stripes appearing, and i am pretty sure that has to do with the cable, you should buy an official one if you want to prevent that.
Other Thoughts: By the looks of it it is a pretty good buy, but you shouldn't buy it if you do not want to take the risk of having a bad cable.
Bottomline: Buy it if you can take the risk, but if you do not want to take the risk, buy an official one from m$. Good luck

Pros: The cable is very inexpensive. It connects just as it says it will, Xbox 360 to VGA and RCA. Cable is long enough for my purpose. Sound works fine (stereo rca).
Cons: The cable is extremely cheaply made. Due to this, there is significant ghosting. I assume this is due to thin conductors and/or improper shielding of the VGA cable.
Other Thoughts: Some users are posting about optical audio out but this cable DOES NOT have this. Perhaps they are reviewing the wrong (but similar) product? There was also a comment about it not having a "HD to SD switch. This also makes no sense since VGA is the only video output on this cable.
Bottomline: I would not purchase this cable again. The ghosting is noticeable enough that I may purchase another, albeit higher quality, cable.

Pros: At the time I bought it, costs about a third of the price of the 1st party Xbox cable. It upconverts your dvds to HD Quality. VGA is just a little more pleasing on my eyes than component video.
Cons: The plastic is quite cheap. The digital optical audio output on it slightly chipped early and cause the optical cable not to lock into place securely.
Other Thoughts: If you have no intention of using digital audio, this cable is worth every penny.
Bottomline: Save your money, buy this cable, and try to send a message to Microsoft that you'd rather not get ripped off.

Pros: - Does the job.
- Didn't came ruined.
- Good for playing most of the games.
Cons: - Didn't come in the original package, it was like, wrapped in some crappy plastic.
- The image keeps flickering on some games.
- Doesn't have SD/HD switch, that would be useful.
- Cable is made of a crappy rubber/plastic thing.
- Not golden connectors.
- Doesn't work for all the games.
- Didn't work at Street Fighter HD Remix :( (which i've got it specially to play this game)
Bottomline: If you don't have a good tv, or you need to take advantage of that old monitor you have, you should buy it, but watch for the lists that will tell you what games are compatible or not. Cause if you don't, you'll be disapointed.

Pros: - pretty decent build quality. - everything works flawlessly. - all the cables fit snugly and comfortably where they belong on the xbox 360 or my monitor.
Cons: - you have to get a audio splitter thing to plug into your speakers unless you have one that can take audio in from 2 sources. - the sound cables are not too long so if your monitor is far away from your cable you might need an extension.
Other Thoughts: -Great product and cheap compared to what i can find at my local stores.
Bottomline: Good product that would of costed me at least twice as much if i decided to buy it in a local store even discounted.

Pros: + It really works and it's very cheap + Doesn't catch any interference even at very high resolutions + With recent dashboard updates it handles my 1680*1050 monitor perfectly. Picture is flawless
Other Thoughts: 500 chars about a cable, please kill me somebody. Oh, hom much more? I wanna a twitter-like char counter.
Bottomline: If you want to play on your PC monitor, go and buy it. I plugged audio into my PC's line in and Xbox in VGA. (While PC is in DVI), and i can switch between those with one press of a button.

Pros: It's a very cheap VGA cable compared to an official one, enables you to get full HD output and standard PC resolutions for monitors as well as TVs. The image is very clear and stable for the most part. The 360 AV connector also has optical out.
Cons: Does not allow standard composite or component connections as described. Plastic looks a little cheap. There isn't a HD/SD switch on the connector.
Other Thoughts: Buy this if you want to use VGA instead of composite or Component. Newer systems have HDMI, but older systems can benefit from this cable while attached to a PC monitor or TV with VGA input.
Bottomline: Cheap but good solution to connect the XBOX360 to a Monitor and have a good quality of video and sound. Huge difference among playing hi-res and normal resolution.

Pros: Well what can I really say it's a cable. Works as advertised and does its job well. Every bit as good as the genuine Microsoft cable that I have, but at a fraction of the price. Build quality seems to be good and the connectors are good. Picture looks great.
Cons: It was a little hard to screw in the screws on the VGA end of the cable, however for how often I do this, it's not really a big deal. Not quite as heavy as the Microsoft cable, although I don't notice any picture problems.
Other Thoughts: I don't use the audio out on this cable except for the optical out so I couldn't really attest to the quality of the RCA connectors...
Bottomline: For the price its a fantastic deal. It preforms just as well as the actual Microsoft cable but cost considerably less. Works out great for playing my xbox on my monitor or projector. A good buy.

Pros: Excellent build quality. Comparable to cables that cost way more. Allows you to use headphones with a DVI monitor by using it with a HDMI > DVI and a RCA to phono adapter. Cheaper to use this for RCA audio with HDMI video than the M$ audio dongle.
Cons: It doesn't support my 24" Acer's 1920x1200 max resolution. I have to use it with black bars on the top and bottom of my display.
Bottomline: Its great. Instead up upgrading my PC to play games, I just use this at my desk with headphones. My monitor has dual inputs so I use this on VGA and my PC on DVI.

Pros: mine came with a gold type plating for the connectors(Microsofts does'nt even come with that!!!!) Very simple to use
Cons: Well after about 2 weeks of using this, i had it connected to my pc speakers(which is what most people are going to do if they buy this cable). Well anway, for some reason they just stop working. I know that its not the speakers that are broke because if i plug them into my computer i can hear the speakers perfectly. But i bought 2 of these cable and neither of them can seem to get the volume correctly. I'm not sure if its my speakers(which i doubt) I say just stick with the microsof 1.
Bottomline: It good but there can be consequences for how cheap this is.

Pros: - Cable has good quality. - Gold contacts. - Sufficient length. - Digital Audio plug (Toslink) - Stereo plugs. - You can plug this cable AND the HDMI cable (it fits) without taking apart the housing (no need to mod the cable in any way). This way you can have Dolby Digital audio via toslink without the need to buy the stupid overpriced audio dongle that comes with the official Microsoft one. - VGA Image is good, no double image or artifacts. Great up to 1080p.
Cons: - If you plug both the VGA cable and the HDMI cable if you change sources at the TV/Monitor the Xbox resets.

Pros: - Looks like it's gold plated - Works great, didn't notice any ghosting - Things looked great on my 17inch monitor (res @ 1280x1024)
Cons: - The screws on the VGA cable could have been ridged. Trying to screw it into my monitor and tighten it with out tools was a little awkward
Other Thoughts: - I would prefer the Cable to be a little longer, but it's still a very usable length - To hook into your computer speakers, you'll need some converters. RCA to mini plug. I used the converter that came with my logitech surround sound speakers.
Bottomline: Bottom line, if you want to connect your Xbox 360 to your monitor, try this cable. For the price, it's worth it just to buy it just to see if you'll like playing it on your monitor.

Pros: - Let's you hook up your Xbox360 to any TFT/CRT monitor that has a standard VGA connector. -Let's you play at higher resolutions than your normal CRT-TV thus making the games look sharper. -Extremely easy to use when combined with the appropriate adapters (sku02636 & sku08307)
Cons: -Needs extra adapters to work -Feels a bit flimsy, not very durable -Doesn't give you the image quality HDMI would -Cable could be a bit longer -It's difficult to calibrate the output to fullscreen. You get black bars on top and below the picture but after some fiddling or auto-tune you can get it fullscreen. -Audio output is slightly distorted due to cheap connectors. Noticeable in the bass. -Needs some considerable audio-amplification to achieve serious volume
Other Thoughts: I'm using this cable to connect my Xbox360 to a 19" monitor and play my games at 1280x1024 (native). It looks great! No obvious loss in image quality compared to use on CRT TV and much sharper. It's now painfully obvious that some games need some more anti-aliasing. :) The graphical flaws become more obvious due to the increased sharpness of the image. I read that it doesn't support higher widescreen resolution but I will try that out when I get my new monitor.
Bottomline: Great and cheap solution to hook your console up to a TFT/CRT VGA monitor. I have to admit I was expecting an even better image quality but I think it will look better if you have a higher-end monitor (I use a Fujitsu 19" TN panel but would prefer a Dell or Samsung MVA/PVA panel type) or HDMI output&cable. Overall, great deal! :)

Pros: A cheap solution to connect that forgotten CRT you stored when you bought a TFT for your computer, hehe. Watching XBOX at high resolution makes it worth the money.
Cons: I need to mention that you need a female-female adaptor to connect the monitor plug with the cable plug and I needed another adaptor to the speakers, but you may not need it.
Other Thoughts: I haven't tried the highest resolution, so I can't say anything about it.
Bottomline: Cheap but good solution to connect the XBOX360 to a Monitor and have a good quality of video and sound. Huge difference among playing hi-res and normal resolution.

Pros: I have this cable plugged into my Viewsonic 22" LCD monitor and the 360. The picture quality is great. The audio plugs are fine too, they connect into my monitor via an adapter that I had to buy separately.
Cons: It doesn't like the 1680x1050 resolution - there's a black empty gap on the right side of the monitor. So I had to manually stretch the picture using the monitor settings, not ideal but at least it won't bother my eyes.
Bottomline: A cheap cable that does its job. I'm not sure whether the resolution problem is the console's fault or the cable's. Odds are it's the 360 that can't handle it

Pros: + Works + Well-shielded. + Really nice price
Cons: - Couldn't handle my 1680x1050. Maybe it's not the reason. - Damned unopenable packaging that's nearly impossible to tear apart :)
Bottomline: It's just a cable and it's hard to write 500 chars about it. It's convinient to play x360 on the same display without moving somewhere — i'm too lazy. Picture is very nice from 1 meter on my 22" LCD. The connector is quite poorly built. Some interference can be seen when screen is black. But i'm sure this can be tweaked — just lazy to try.

Pros: -Much cheaper alternative than ANY VGA cable. -Looks great on 47" 1080p LCD. -The packaging is well constructed.
Cons: -Some of the lower res causes my screen to cut off the left side of the screen. -Does not come with video composite cables as stated
Other Thoughts: -PC Source on my TV uses 3.5mm stereo, you just need an RCA Y-adapter to 3.5 to make it work, I did not see something like this here so I ended getting one at The Source. The adapter ended up costing me $9, almost as much as the cable itself.
Bottomline: -Definitely recommend if you want 1080p and do not have HDMI on your Xbox360

Pros: Cheaper than the original. Packaging looks good. Does what it claims to do. Allows a wide range of resolutions including both widescreen and standard 4:3 ratio.
Cons: Does not allow standard composite or component connections as described. Plastic looks a little cheap. There isn't a HD/SD switch on the connector.
Other Thoughts: The biggest problem is that this isn't as advertised as it doesn't allow standard TV connections. You can only plug in a monitor. I haven't tried the optical audio out but it's a good feature to have.
Bottomline: For the price it's a good buy and allows you to obtain superior quality picture and sound from your xbox 360.

Pros: Worked great until my Xbox gave me the RROD a few weeks back. Offers 1080p on my screen which only accepts 720p over the standard component cables. Very easy to use. Still offers optical audio output.
Cons: Have been told that this could be the cause of my RROD.
Other Thoughts: Great product, however having read that some third party VGA cables can RROD your Xbox, I'm not so certain I want to start using mine again.
Bottomline: Provided it isn't killing Xboxs out there, it works fine and can offer a better picture (depending on your screen and settings) than the standard component cables.

Pros: Best price as usual. My RCA plugs are very snug when connector. Audio connection is also very tight.
Cons: None really. Well maybe they could include the adapters for monitor cables and female/female RCA. That's a stretch, but there aren't really any cons.
Other Thoughts: My mobile 360 is now complete. I can either bring my 22" widescreen LCD if there's no space or TV at the place I'm going to. Or I can hook it up to a projector and play Rock Band on a wall! SWEET! I can use the audio off the projector, or plug in a set of nice computer speakers (need item 05125, again, cheapest around).
Bottomline: Item does what it's supposed to, go for it!

Pros: Price: The price here offered on DX is the cheapest I have found so far compared to other third party and first party solutions. It's about 30$ cheaper Eause-of-use: Plug it in, change the settings and you're good to go. You might need to do some research on your TV, though. Build Quality: Amazingly good. The package, however, is packaged with three layers of plastic, which makes it difficult to cut open. It's also not environmentally friendly, although it is lead free. Usefulness: Extremely useful. VGA is better than component and provides a better image.
Cons: Doesn't include the composite AV cable female to 3.5mm male plug for audio, while others do. You can find them pretty cheap though, there's even one here at DX
Other Thoughts: This is a must have for any budget 360 owner with an HDTV. The Pros outweigh the Con by far.
Bottomline: If you're looking for an HD solution, choose this. The lines will be shaper, the colours bolder, and will be more crisp than the regular 480i.

Pros: This cable gave me a crisp image quality on my 42" Plasma. Another VGA cable bought here was much less than this one and gave me visible stripes on the screen while this one is crisp in all situations. Compared to the official component cable it is maybe better. But because of a stupid overscan problem I switched to this VGA cable and I am happy with it.
Cons: There is no composite cable while it is in the description. But I won't use it anyway
Other Thoughts: Buy this if you want to use VGA instead of composite or Component. Newer systems have HDMI, but older systems can benefit from this cable while attached to a PC monitor or TV with VGA input.
Bottomline: Great product!

Pros: Great working product works exactly like it is supposed to picture qulity is great packaged well in plastic and shipped flawlessly by dealextreme Supports 720p and 1080p A++
Cons: none so far but my biggest fear is that it might break over time
Other Thoughts: looks exactly like the original one manufacured by microsoft (which sells for way more) I plugged this onto my 17" crt and the picture was super-awesome on 1080p!!
Bottomline: Great product, Great price and Great Picture quality Thanks a lot Dealextreme!

Pros: A solidly built cable that shields well, connects the box to vga input accepting devices and gives optical and stereo RCA audio out.
Cons: I should have ordered a gender changer and rca to headphone connector with it.
Other Thoughts: The one I received is like the one pictured by a user, which now appears to be listed as sku 10940.
Bottomline: If you want to connect your box to a flat panel and PC speakers like I did, this cable works great.

Pros: Price is cheap. Image quality is as good as the offical one.
Cons: Missing the mini gender changer and the Composite AV Cable Female to 3.5mm Male Convertor Plug compared to the offical one.
Bottomline: Quality cable at low price. Need to buy sku 2636 Composite AV Cable Female to 3.5mm Male Convertor Plug and sku 8307 HDB15/F to HDB15/F Mini Gender Changer Adapter to have the same feature as the offical product. Might want some plugs & adaptors (2636,2627,5125,5143,5212,2716)and VGA switch box (7583)from Dealextreme to suit your needs.
