For iPod USB/Car/AC Charger

Pros:

With so many ipods in our family, this product is a good idea, I like the idea of not having to keep a computer running just to charge and ipod, and since their batteries don't seam to last long what could be better? I keep my iphone plugged in when surfing or listening to internet radio, that way in the morning it's fully charged and ready to go.

Cons:

Buld quality is not the best, but it works perfectly, and for the price who cares. You could easly pay 30 to 40 bucks for an overpriced apple item. Why do you think apple is the most profitable company on the planet? It's definately not because the are giving you a deal.

Other Thoughts:

Forgo the overprices oem products and go for this deal

Bottomline:

The USB plug actually has many other uses, I charge other cell phones with this and almost any other product that you usually charge with a usb outlet, it even charges my Garmin and my Blue Ant Supertooth. Too bad it does not charge the PS3 controller.

Pros:

-The biggest pro is that it works.
-Retractable cable of decent length that has clips on the non-USB end to ensure it stays in.
-Charging cable is able to be adjusted to be longer than the needed length to reduce tension in pulling your device.
-Emits a light to show that there is a current.
-Cheap.

Cons:

-There are other charger in DX that look nicer. (IMO)
-Chargers become warm.
-Packaging came with a small dent.

Other Thoughts:

-A great buy for people always on the go, or don't want to charge their device via their computer.
-Also available in black.

Bottomline:

-But this, or something similar that pleases your eyes.

Pros:

I didn't expect this to work, since it's so much cheaper than the official Apple car set but it does. And it's perfect! The connections are smooth and it looks nice too. It doesn't look cheap or plasticky like a lot of these Asian items.

Cons:

You will need an adaptor if you are in the UK or Europe, since it comes with a US socket but that is easy enough to remedy and the device works fine with an adaptor on the end.

Bottomline:

I would recommend this product because it arrived fast, it is easy to use and it is really cheap as well.

Cheap as hell! Some companies import the same kit to Brazil and sell them over US$ 50. Complete with all we need. Automatic voltage selection on the AC plug. Packaging is decent enough. A must one for anyone that owns a ipod!

Cons:

Not the best build quality, but will last if you treat it well. Other than that NONE at all!

All in all, pick it up if you need to be charging your ipod on the go, at home, on the computer etc. It works with my 4th generation IPOD Nano 8gb.

Bottomline:

The price is great compared to anything I could buy locally. Both chargers work well. If you can live with a "retractable" cable that probably won't hold up for long, buy it.

* The cable has a USB plug for connectivity to your computer as well as the car and wall chargers.
* The USB outputs on the car and wall chargers can be used for other products besides Apple iPods, iPhones, and Touches.
* Did I mention the great price?
* The white color is clean and matches the other Apple iPod accessories we have purchased.

Cons:

* Cheap price means cheap quality. Flimsy cable, plug, and 12v car adapter.
* The cable plug gets in the way of the phone plug on the Nano.
* The kit I received had a faulty car adapter - light came on but it didn't charge any of our iPods.

Would like to have a better quality cable and add a couple of dollars to the price. (I didn't use one thousand characters, did I?)

Bottomline:

Despite the car adapter not working, I still feel it was an incredible deal - even if I only got the cable and wall charger. In fact, I will be placing an order for a couple of more kits and hope that the car charger works next time. Considering the fact that shipping is included, this is a great value! Excuse me while I go do some more shopping! ;-)

+ love having the 3 parts for car, wall and computer
+ no messy long cables

Cons:

- the ipod connector is rather tight fit (first oen had to be modified). Not as smooth as apple usb connector
- very cheap feeling

Other Thoughts:

The first one I got didn't fit my ipod. The plug is badly built and a platic part was in the way to make it fit. I was able witha plyer to bend it back, but the fit was rather tight on the ipod, which is not a good thign as I didn't want to damage my ipod getting it in and out.
DX saw my review on resellerratings.com and sent me a replacemetn right away (WHOA, talk about customer service). Second one fit without repair, but still tight and not a smooth fir like the apple one.
The entire thing also feel cheaply made more so than the other 10+ items I got from DX) but work just fine. I don't use them that much, so I'm not sure about longevity...

Bottomline:

can't complain too much for the price paid. Wish it was betetr built though, especially the connector part (where it matters the most).

The car charger didn´t work at all on my old iPod Mini. It made the iPod blink, so I disconnected it and didn´t use it again. Now I have a 80Gb Classic, but as my car stereo charges and controls this iPod (it didn´t work with the Mini as well), I don´t use and don´t miss it at all (I haven´t risked trying to charge the Classic with it). Anyway, not having to turn on the computer to charge my iPod makes the damn thing worth its price.

One of the best bargains I purchased on DX.

It's good for its price and charges your ipod and iphone. I had bought a similar item in a retail store without the USB charger cable it was it about 5x this price here!

Pros:

- VERY cheap, considering what are you getting
- Package has every thing you'll need from wall adapter to car adapter, plus the USB cable in case you don't want to use the original one (but you can use that too)
- Charge indicators
- AC adapter is multivoltage so you can use it in USA, Europe or whereever you like
- Works with my iPod Touch

Cons:

- Feels a BIT cheap, mostly it's the plastic feeling
- Some dirt... (¿?) can't uderstand why since it came with the blister perfectly fine... not a big deal though, clean it :P

- It is very cheap in cost.
- Has lights to show if it is charging, it will light up red.
- Comes with all the types of chargers one would likely need in any given situation
- Car charger works well, you plug it into the cigarette lighter socket and attach the usb to ipod charger into it.
- The AC charger works nicely, it was what i mostly bought this set for.
- The AC charger is very handy, so you can charge your ipod anywhere pretty much like at a hotel etc etc.
- Nice white colour

Buy buy buy buy buy...I like the car charger. This is a brilliant idea and much cheaper than the brand name stuff. I think the brand name ones are expensive bc it's built with stronger plastic

Pros:

- Nice pack with high current chargers. It's not the very low current of some available here (including some that charge well below the recommended rate of my device).
- The wall charger is very solid feeling and, externally at least, well built. Zero issues with the wall charger.
- Even though it feels less solid, the car charger has held up well during a couple months of jostling around the car.

Cons:

- Retention prongs on the car charger are stiff and seem weak.
- LED on the car charger makes the whole body glow red in use.
- Retractable cord is very fussy. Hard to get it to retract without lots of work.

Other Thoughts:

I don't have an ipod so aside from playing with the retractable cord, I can't comment on actual use.

Bottomline:

The price is great compared to anything I could buy locally. Both chargers work well. If you can live with a "retractable" cable that probably won't hold up for long, buy it.

Pros:

This is vary easy to use set. I purchased this for my wife since she travels a lot on work. She can charge her IPOD on the plane via USB port on her lap top, AC in her hotel room and DC through the cigarette lighter plug in the rental car. It works well. The packaging is retail and looks nice. instructions are fairly complete too.

Cons:

The retractable cord does not rewind well and sometimes is a pain to use.

Other Thoughts:

This is a nice set and since Apple charges much more than this and so does the box and mortar stores in my area this is a great deal! I left this set plugged into the AC charging my IPOD for a week and it did not get hot and neither did the IPOD.

I would buy this set again.

Very convenient for the car. It retracts right up and fits in my glove box without having ugly wires getting tangled up.

Cons:

The retractable cable sometimes don't rewind correctly, but if you want you can remove the rewinding part, it's only a screw to unscrew.

In stores i never found a car/home/pc charger in one box, and at this price is very good.

I bought this to use to charge my Palm Tungsten E2 PDA. To date, I've successfully used it to charge it from both the 12V and 110V source. Since I'm using it for the Palm, I've not used the IPOD/USB cable.

Great deal for extra chargers for my Palm.

I ordered one before the previous review was up stating that these don't work with 3rd gen ipods. The chargers don't work, but the data cable sync it up with my computer fine. DX was good to work with on getting an exchange sent, but apparently mine wasn't defective.

good deal for newer ipod owners.

With this set you have all you need to charge your ipod. The pc to ipod cable can also connect to the car charger and the home charger. The cable rolls itself back up so there is no mess and strings being tangled. This is all your ever going to need.

Cons:

I find none. It is a must buy.

If you want cables to make sure that your ipod never dies this is the way to go.
