Pros:

Small and easy to use, especially after installing the newer open source firmware.
Nice reference signal (by attaching the probe to the metal bit on the right-top corner).

Cons:

Link to firmware supplier could have been more clear.
Without firmware update, the reference signal and usability is somewhat less usefull.

Other Thoughts:

Firmware can be found at the http://code.google.com/p/dsonano/ (the google code dsonano project) which will improve this device and supply you with a manual.

Bottomline:

Nice device, easy to take along with you, get the firmwareupdate and the manual from google code.

Pros:

-It is a perfect portable and low cost test tool.
-The price es very good.
-The probe supplied is very good.
-all accesories included.
-is very accurate in measuring scales.
-it has many functions.

Cons:

-i think that the battery could be better.
-i dont find battery replacement.
-zero documentation included.
-At the first the Micro SD dont work to run the card will need to reformat sd to FAT32.
-the characters of behind the oscilloscope dissapear using.

It is perfect for my needs.

Pros:

-- It is a great portable and low cost test tool.
-- It really can help as a starter oscilloscope for hobists and students.
-- It has a good bandwidth for this kind of device. Enough for audio / general works.

Cons:

-- Unfortunately, it has only one channel. This limitates a lot its usefulness. But even so, there is a lot you can do with it.
-- The back cover is glued so that it is almost impossible to remove it to replace the battery in the future. A spare cover would be nice.

Other Thoughts:

-- If you don't have an oscilloscope and you are short on money, this is a good choice. Start with it and then go to something more expensive if you need. You can keep this one as a portable backup or re-sell it.

Bottomline:

Wonderful tool for hobists and students, specially for people that wants a modest oscilloscope for audio work and don't want to spend a lot of money.
I personally found it very useful and I am very satisfied.
I would prefer to trade some bandwidth for an additional input channel.

Pros:

Price, size, portability, firmware upgrade capability. The probe supplied is better than what some others supply.

Cons:

Frequency limitation, zero documentation included

Other Thoughts:

As mentioned in the forum, the battery connector polarity was wrong.
The USB cable was defective. It powered the device, but USB communication would not work. Another cable worked fixed the problem.
Check the forum for help on obtaining documentation and firmware upgrades. The unit I received had "Paul's firmware 1.5.20b" installed which many regard as excellent.
You will have to chase around the web for hints and helps, but it is a very useful gadget. It is my only oscilloscope and it is helping me diagnose some vehicle instrumentation problems that fortunately are well within its frequency capability.
With a micro SD card, you can store waveforms although it can't create new files. You have to pre-load properly sized and named files on the card beforehand.

Bottomline:

It works! It's useful for my needs.

Pros:

I haven't had a chance to use it in detail, but it's very small and pocketable. It came with a single probe, some colored rings, a battery and a back plate.

Cons:

Replacing the battery may be difficult since the aluminum plate is attached using double sided tape, and removal will be difficult in a couple years, it may need a blowdryer.
The battery was wired backwards, so check your plug and the polarity before installation, I had to swap the pins in the plug. Luckily the polarity is silkscreened onto the pcb.
The lcd screen is slightly misaligned when looking straight on "FL" looks like "FI" since the right side is cut off.

Other Thoughts:

A manual was not included, it would be nice if a link were included.

Bottomline:

Looking good so far!

Pros:

Lightweight, just 60g, pocket sized.
Good price.
Can export waves to PC.
MicroSD can storage a lot of waves, 1GB better than needed.
I can make changes to firmware (in C language) 'cause it's open source and we can use free tools.
Low batts consumption.
Bright screen.
Plenty informations at internet.
Useful features (aka frequency, duty cicle, we can measure time interval in screen, etc).

Cons:

Open source firmware in early stage, no really a con.
Comes with no open source Paul's firmware, by which cause some freezzes when capturing waves. (I uploaded original open source firmware)

Bottomline:

Buy one if you don't have one scope.

Pros:

Pro: for the price break this is an invaluable portable diagnostic tool. Its smaller and lighter than an iphone will look at signals up to 100Khz (after that they start to become distorted but still useful)
I take this thing everywhere.

Cons:

Con: Did someone say manual? what manual...

Other Thoughts:

The software for these gadgets is open source so it will be interesting to see where these go from here. My other DSO to replace would cost me around 6K so this is a cheap tool at this price.

Bottomline:

Excellent value for money.
