Waterproof Vehicle Rear Sight Video Camera with 7-LED Night Vision (12V DC/PAL)

Pros:

Nice wide base to fix to your car, black fits my car so you don't notice it too much.

Cons:

Had to clean the inside of the lens, some wax present. (tip: clean the entire inside, not just the lens. In the sun, this stuff might evaporated and then condensatie on the lens again)

Other Thoughts:

Saw some notices here about the mirror image: the 3.5 inch monitor for reverse camera's , UK sku 904449796, has a menu function for that. Press menu, menu, menu till you see rotate, then press + + + till the picture fits. You can even mount the monitor upside down and get a usefull picture.

Bottomline:

Nice!

Pros:

- cheap.
- small.
- easy to install.
- all the cables and parts what you need to install should be included.
- video cable lengt is about 5 meters

Cons:

- picture quality is very poor. at least in my camera lens cover was very fuzzy. you can disassemble the camera and clean that plastic cover with some degreaser. then you have good picture quality. remember to put some silicone glue to the seam.

Other Thoughts:

- i need longer video cable like 10 meters

Bottomline:

if you want good picture quality do as i say. i did it and i'm ordering more of these.

Pros:

Very good value for money!
All necessary cables are included, there are even bolts and nuts!
Great picture, even in darkness.
The camera is ideal for all cars. Easy to install and use.The quallity of picture is great,and the lines further assist parking!

Cons:

Overall, no cons except that it is a little big in size!
But this is not so big problem!

Other Thoughts:

The camera is universal and fits all cars and vehicles.
If you want you will always find a place where to install!

Really good camera, do not think and order it!

Pros:

Comes with mounting bolts and cables, looks very nice fitted to the car and matches the black plastic of my car's rear-lights assembly.
Very clear black and white night vision, and good colour daytime vision. Has coloured guide lines on the video image which look like something out of a movie, and are useful for lining up the car when parking.

Cons:

I had difficulty using this with the included 8m cable and LCD monitor sku.39044. The screen would keep flickering for up to a minute trying to work out if it was NTSC or PAL before producing a good colour image. I tried a better cable and it seemed to fix the problem, also unplugging one end of the RCA cable slightly gave me a black and white image without any problems.

Other Thoughts:

My car has a plastic bolted-on middle section for the rear-lights assembly, with the license plate and license plate lights. I removed the plastic assembly and mounted the camera to that, then routed the cable between that and the bodywork, and through an existing cable grommet in the bodywork,
so I didn't need to drill any metal bodywork.

Bottomline:

Very nice camera, but be prepared to get a better RCA video cable for it, and/or a good enough screen inside the car (maybe a PAL-only screen wouldn't get confused). If you have an 80s car then this camera will complement the style of the car nicely.

Pros:

The camera itself looks great and the image is also good enough for the purpose. The camera comes with all the necessary cables so that it can be installed easily.
The light of the LEDs aren't visible, but very bright ;-) When you install the camera outside the car, they're so bright that you don't have to use an additional light to see what's behind you.
The angle view is cool. You can see EVERYTHING behind your car :-)

Cons:

The power cable of the camera is really, really thin. It's quite hard to connect it to other cables.
What I don't really like about this cam is that it shows some distance lines on the screen that you can't switch off. I uploaded a few pictures (and a video is following tomorror) where you can see them. They CAN be useful, but I don't really want them.
Another con is that you can't really install this camera inside the car. You have to find a way that the light doesn't get reflected by the window or the window heating because otherwise you can't see anything through it! (Usefullness rating: 3/5)

Other Thoughts:

I can definitely recommend the cam to others. Please be aware of the distance lines and the bright LEDs.
