Day Bird Stainless Steel Self-Winding Mechanical Wristwatch (Black + Silver)

Pros:

- great design, real eye-catcher, perfect combination of black and white
- excellent build quality (glass +stee lclasp, bezel, case,...)
- one of the best silicon straps I have ever seen from DX watches
- sturdy item for extensive every day use

Cons:

- self winding mechanism can hold just 4-5 hours when fully wind
- chronograph ring doesn't move

Bottomline:

- definitely one of the best watches I ordered from DX and China in general. Self winding works perfectly, watch will start to tic the moment you take it. Even when inspected from close you can't say that this is a cheap copy - would recommend this to evereybody.

Pros:

great to watch, beautiful, strong, works correctly, this a great hit!

Cons:

the rubber bands through the strap are relaxed, but nothing to bother you so much, the rest is ok!

Other Thoughts:

at cheap price is the nicest watch I've ever had!

When this clock came first, I was very upset and disappointed with the problems I was having. However, after a few weeks these problems went away, seemingly overnight.
Now the problems have disappeared, I am very pleased with the watch. I got many compliments and I think the usual, as the price is usually far above the actual price.
I am satisfied with this watch that I'm thinking of buying is the brother of silver with the metal band:)

Pros:

Looks great except for a few things.
a "break in" it now keeps pretty good time for a cheap skeleton, maybe a minute gained/lost a day. I'm satisfied with that for the price I paid. I mess with it so much that it doesn't bother me to adjust the time here and there.
This watch has the best PU band I've used yet. Very flexible, sturdy, and breathes well. One of the noticeable plusses of this piece.
Metal clasp, metal bezel, metal case, almost all internals metal.
I've had many compliments on this watch. People almost always guess that it cost much more than the actual price.

Cons:

Didn't work well at all from the factory - almost returned it.
The "Daybird sport watch" thing around the face looks somewhat cheap. As does the "Caliper reading" markings around the face.
The auto winding is not nearly enough to keep this guy going, even when wearing active all day. This problem is compounded by the fact that the manual winding is a little messed up.
The inside of the watch has some white plastic in it that is visible if viewed on an angle.

Other Thoughts:

My sample arrived with some serious issues. My video posted here explains more, but basically the watch was losing HOURS a day! It would also just stop randomly regardless of spring tension. I think something must have been causing friction or something, and that must have worn away because the piece is now working fine.
The spring holds enough power for ~48hrs till dead from full tension (note: don't tighten the spring 100%), maybe just a little under.

Bottomline:

I'm satisfied enough with this watch that I'm considering getting it's silver colored brother with the metal band :)

Pros:

It’s a good working, and nice looking wrist watch.
it is strong built, and it has a good build quality. It’s also cool is that you can see inside the watch. And In reality is it better than on the pictures.
And very handy is that you don’t have to buy batteries because it’s self winding.

Cons:

There are not many cons. But the time when I received my watch was three and a half week so that’s a quite long time (to the Netherlands).

Bottomline:

It’s a nice looking wrist watch for the right price!
It’s strong built and you don’t need batteries.
