Pros:

Did not expect from such cheap knives such excellent quality. Very sharp and not lose their sharpness when using.
When ordering do not expect such good quality. These knives are much sharper than all metal, which is in my home. Moreover, they do not need to grind.
The wife is very happy. The main thing is not to cut their metal and bone.
Box in which they come, not very suitable for daily use, just like gift wrap. To keep them advise buy SKU 65660
The handle is very comfortable in the hand. Thanks notches does not slip when hands are wet.

Cons:

No cons

Bottomline:

The best choice for the money.

Ownership verified by DX Sharp, but could be sharper
Posted by edwardspud on 4/2/2011
Involvement: Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership: 1 day to 1 week

Price: starstarstarstarstar
Ease of Use: starstarstarstarstar
Build Quality: starstarstarstarstar
Usefulness: starstarstarstarstar
Overall Rating: starstarstarstarstar

Pros:

* Well protected in hard case
* Easy clean black ABS handles with non-slip grip
* Ground cutting edge along full length of blades
* Quick delivery (using standard China Mail, >8-days)

Cons:

- Not the sharpest knife you can buy
- Cannot be sharpened using conventional 'steels', or knife sharpers that you may have in the kitchen
- The gift box is good for protecting the knives in transit, but too large for long term storage. As ceramic knives are pron to damage if stored in a drawer with metal knives/tools, you will need to find somewhere safe to store them when not in use.

Other Thoughts:

As any enthusiastic cook will know, a sharp knife is an essential tool to have available in the kitchen. Whilst you can spend a small fortune on 'branded' high carbon steel knives, the average domestic cook cannot justify spending the equivalent to a days wage on one knife. Yes, there are branded ceramic knives on the market but these are comparatively expensive as well.
The alternative, a ceramic knife from DX!

Bottomline:

Okay, these knives are sharp enough for the average domestic chef, (even though they won't equal the sharpest high carbon knife), but they will retain their edge for much longer. At these prices you can afford to try out the benefits of going ceramic without breaking the bank :)

Ownership verified by DX very good deal
Posted by bigron423 on 12/22/2010
Involvement: Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership: 1 week to 1 month

Price: starstarstarstarstar
Ease of Use: starstarstarstar
Build Quality: starstarstarstar
Usefulness: starstarstarstarstar
Overall Rating: starstarstarstar

Pros:

Very sharp knives at a very good price. Handles do not extend past edge of blade--allows full cutting use of blade edge. Handles very comfortable and have good non-slip quality, great when working in kitchen with wet hands. Very attractive display, easy to resell

Cons:

gift box very fragile, all received damaged--but knives intact. Handle not extending past bottom of blade edge can be safety problem. You must use caution to avoid cutting yourself.

Other Thoughts:

Great feature is weight of handle, much heavier than blade. Accidently dropping of knife or knocking off of counter will usually not harm knife as handle will strike floor first and protect blade

Bottomline:

If you have the patience to wait for them, these knives are outstanding value for reselling and or using.
