For iPod Style USB Cable White

Pros:

I needed an extra cable for my iPod and this one fit the bill. We are an iPod family, so I always like to keep a good stock of iPod supplies. The color is great- it looks just like official Apple design. The quality is great- charges well, attaches well to my iPod, and stays put. I have had no problems with this. Great price.

Cons:

Can't think of any cons, expect that you want to make sure it's firmly attached. A tiny bit stiff, but not really enough that it would matter. Must remember to push in safety lock before releasing, otherwise you could damage your iPod.

Bottomline:

All in all, it's a good quality item. Charges well, and it looks like official iPod cable charger that comes with your iPod. I would definitely order another one. I have seen others that were not as good quality, but this is one of the best I've tried so far. Great price.

The cable is stiffer than the apple version and looks a little different but it fuctions well and the price is great. If you're looking for a cable of this type this one's a good choice. The white matches well with my white ipad dock that I also picked up and looks very OEM.

The cable came in plastic packet. It works fine even it does not looks like genuine one.

Cons:

It does not looks like original cable. Graphich printed on the cable is not good quality. It is more rigid, more gray, than the original. It is not mach differ in terms of quality and fillings from SKU.34486 if you will not count the box.

I was looking for spare cable to make my iphone charged at both at home and at work.

Besise it is not original it works fine. If you put both cables together you definitelly will see what is what.

This cable is a perfect replacement for the original cable. Mine fits just right in there, with no trouble getting it in or out, and i can really recommend this to everyone who either wants a spare, or needs a new cable. And the price is right too, it's really cheap and well worth the money.

Apple's stuff is all outrageously overpriced, and even the aftermarket manufacturers seem to be in the scam. Belkin, I'm talkin' to you. Thank goodness for Chinese cheapies. This works fine, is pretty cheap, and looks like it will last.

Bottomline:

I recommend this over the retractables on Dx: for only a buck or two more, you get a much better product. It doesn't have the Apple slickness and build quality, but get one or two for around the house. I am using it with a latest gen Apple Classic by the way.

Pros:

Well there isn't much to say about this product. Its a replacement sync cable that works great syncing my Ipod Classic 80 gig. The cable fits, and goes for about a tenth of what you will pay just in just about any retail store. It works when I hook it up. See below for my only nit-picking cons.

Cons:

Let me first state that there is almost no reason not to buy this cord. The minor issue is the buttons on the side of the dock connector (the Ipod end of the cord) are a bit difficult to push in, and it is a bit stiff to remove from the Ipod, so some level of care is required when doing so. This means as long as you are nice and careful when you unhook the cord from the Ipod, it is fine.

Other Thoughts:

I have not tried this with an Ipod Touch or Iphone so I make no warranty as to this cords functionality with those models.

Get this cord if you've got an Ipod Classic or other compatible unit. You have to be gentle removing the cable from the Ipod, but you should be anyway.

It's hard to release it. It is kinda hard to press the buttons in to release the cable.
It is much easier with the old iPod Cables which had the button system.
Sadly it doesnt have the newer button-less design.

1. The USB Connector isnt shiny
2. USB Symbol is too big
3. The Dock Connector has a stamped in logo. The original is printed on.
4. The Dock Connector of the original has a different form.

Pros:

I can confirm that the cable I got works with my 2G iPod Touch. Both charges and syncs with no problems so a big relief for me and maybe to others with a 2G Touch. The cord is slightly thicker than the one that came with the Touch and also seems slightly more rugged. Has a marking on each plug to show you which side faces up.

Cons:

If there's a con, it would be that you need to press the side buttons to release the hooks to unhook the iPod from the cord. Don't know if it's a plus or minus to you guys.

Bottomline:

Excellent cord for an excellent price. Definitely get one as a spare. I use mine at work.

I bought a few of these. I gave some to a friend. Only one said something about it not working very well. May be that is just a little faulty.

Pros:

An excellent product; it does exactly what it should, works great with my 1st-gen Ipod touch, and costs less than three bucks. Apple wants $25 plus shipping for a replacement cable, but you'd be a fool to buy that as long as DealExtreme has this one.

I tried the Cable on 3 different computers and everytime it connects the Ipod but forces disconnection after 5 seconds. So there is no way I can use that Cable to transfer songs, movies or anything to my Ipod Classic (80Gb). Maybe it works with older Ipods but I can't tell.

If you have an Ipod Classic or newer model of Ipod you should look for some other Cable since this one will offer you limited possibilities.

The iPod connector end of DX's cable was always a difficult fit into my iPod... it usually fit tight and sometimes had to be reconnected once or twice to get a proper connection. Unfortunately, over time, the cable connector failed to last, with an increasing number of "Computer failed to recognize USB device" errors. It died after about a year of daily use.

Bottomline:

You get what you pay for. As an emergency spare, this is fine, but I can't recommend it for daily use because the build quality just wasn't up to the quality standard I'd expect.

Fantastic! It is so way better than the sku 00034 it looks genuine and the plugs at each end have a nice shiny appearance. the colour plastic is a sharp white, not a yellow-white or grey-white like other item I had from DX I am definitely happy with this one!

Cons:

none at all apart from the fact that there is no apple logo on it, it is a great product and I would be happy to pay 10 bucks for it!

Fits perfectly in a 3rd gen nano, metal part of connector is indistinguishable from Apple cable. Cable seems a bit shorter than original part, which is just fine with me.

Cons:

Cord is very flexible, seems to be very light gauge wire. Connector boot at iPod end is not effective in preventing the cable from bending.

This cable i almost like original, dock connector is 90% original look and good quality. When opened one side of connector was stuck, then I applyed more force and heard CLICK, now it works normal. USB connector is like rubber and lower quality.
