Pros: - It's cheap - It's the fastest SDHC reader I've used with read of up to 30MB/s and sustained write of 24MB/s with a class 10 card. It's faster than my USB3 super speed reader(SKU 106872) too. - It has worked with all of my cards, so I consider it compatible. I've tested it up to 16GB class 10 SDHC.
Cons: - It's poorly built. Loose plastic covers. - It's kind of bulky. - Unreliable. 3 of these have died on me already.
Bottomline: Buy two of these! They are cheap, but unreliable! If you don't need the speed, buy something else, that has been found to be more reliable!

Pros: So far this reader has worked for well over 6 months in all applications. -Works with my 1, 2, 8 and 32 gig memory cards. -Worked with SD as well as SDHC cards. -Readable in Windows and Linux -Fast read times
Cons: The USB cap is not attached to the device and is easy to loose. The tail cap feels a little flimsy could break. Neither of these issues will affect the ability for the device to function.
Other Thoughts: -Saw the exact same reader for 9 dollars at a local discount retailer. -Worked in my Philips Dock -Worked in my Subaru -Worked in Windows 7 64 bit and Linux
Bottomline: Buy it! it works!

Pros: Works. I have bought 3 or 4 other SDHC readers from DX, and they all were unreliable. This one works.
Cons: What? I'm required to have cons?
Other Thoughts: I like that you can close it so it turns your card-reader into a 'memory stick'. The 'caps' at both end can be annoying, but if you hate them just throw them away.
Bottomline: Using Vista. I have no idea what the problem was with the other SDHC readers were but it certainly was annoying. And no, it was not my drivers and not my ports (tried with all kind of ports and powered hubs and you name it).

Pros: Works on windows XP and Windows 7, just plug it in and it works. No need for drivers. I have had this since 9/2/2009 and use it almost every day and it still works as it is supposed to. + Cheap cheap cheap!! + no drivers needed + works with micro sd if you have an adapter
Cons: - brown is ugly - the Usb connector cover is missing because it is not attached to the device. - physical size could be smaller
Other Thoughts: I have only tested cards up to 16GB
Bottomline: Does exactly what it is supposed to and costs you barely anything. Just buy it you won't regret it!!!!

Pros: Works great and don't make the transfers go slow. The quality is good. You can put de SD card in, and use it like a usb flash memory, there is enought space to put de sd card al close the card reader.
Cons: I had problems for use with a pair of Kingston-branded cards. The rest I've tried work ok -Spanish He tenido problemas para utilizarlo con un par de tarjetas marca Kingston. El resto que he probado funcionan ok
Other Thoughts: It would be better if it were cheaper -Spanish Seria mejor si fuera mas barato

Pros: - it's fast. got 25MB/s and faster transfers with a class 6 card. - it's very fast for boot media for OS install or portable OS/apps
Cons: - a bit bulky. doesn't fit next to other usb cable/device in adjacent slots. - ugly. Yep that's the word. - not good build quality. Cover not fitting very well. - not very reliable. one died on me in a month.
Other Thoughts: I bought three of these. First one died after some use. I still use the second one and the third one I bought for a friend. So I obviously don't consider it very reliable. Could have been designed to be more compact, sturdy and look better.
Bottomline: It's fast and does the job. For that price it's a winner. Still room for improvement as I stated above.

Pros: A great, useful item that makes sense. A slightly fatter-than-average usb key that when needed opens and turns itself into a card reader. Or else an easily upgraded usb key. In other words, something that allows you to buy just a memory card and either use it as a memory card or as a usb key, depending on your needs, instead of having to buy both a card and a proper usb key. Great idea!
Cons: The cap that covers the usb plug is not joined to the main body. This way it can easily get lost. Nothing vital, though.
Other Thoughts: These are the things that make the Chinese successful. Not like some Westerners who sell you overpriced gadgets with their batteries locked in by ‹anti tamper› screws.
Bottomline: Definitely a must-have.

Pros: Really FAST - while my other card readers give me 5-6 mb\sec for writing\reading on Kingston 4class SD card this gives me 11-12Mb\sec!
Card reader supports write protection switch on card.
Made very sturdy, probably wont break very soon
Have red led what blinks during data transfer
Cons: Not easy to open and close front and back caps, back caps is connected with case by little peace of plastic, easy to break.
Color - OMG brown again!
Little too big
No support for MicroSD without adapter.
Led little too bright
Bottomline: Nice cardreader for day-to-day use, will write fast and read fast if you not concerned with device size

Pros: From some of my basic tests, the performance of this reader is quite good. It seems to function well enough and I've had no issues with corrupt files or filesystems.
Cons: It's big. You won't be able to plug two of these into your front USB ports. Forget about trying to use one on a laptop without an extension cable. It's the widest SD card/USB reader I've have. The only other problem is the "door" on the back of the reader. It would have been a lot better if it wasn't connected by a rather flimsy looking hinge...
Bottomline: As a portable SD card reader, this item can't be beat. It has decent enough performance and a very good price point.

Pros: - Works flawlessly for me so far - Have had no problems - Transfers data fairly quickly - Compact - The card fits well, and you can snap the card in to make it kind of like a usb hard drive
Cons: - None that I can think of other than that it is made out of somewhat flimsy plastic. I have had no problems with it though, so it is not really a con.
Bottomline: This is a good SDHC card reader for the price. It works well and is very compact. Haven't had any problems with the cards I have been using. (I have used over 10 different cards)

Pros: - Works perfectly with any SD/SDHC Cards (Tested up to 16GB) - Works in Windows XP/Vista/7 - Plug and Play installation - Fast read speed when accessing cards - Small, compact unit - Cap lid has a little hinge which stops you from losing it when in use - Nice blue colour
Cons: - Build quality could be a bit better as plastic seems slightly fragile
Other Thoughts: - The hinge was a great idea to prevent losing the lid! - Color scheme of device seems to be random, the blue one I received looked nice.
Bottomline: For its price, it is certain a great buy! Works great, you won't be disappointed. Highly recommended!

Pros: Fast, works with SD and SDHC cards.
Works on windows 7, vista, XP and Ubuntu. I guess other SO will work too, haven't tried on mac or earlier versions of Windows...
Good built quality but could be better, see other thoughts.
Nice color. Not pink, not yellow, not blue. Caramel. Kind of retro :P
Cons: I'm missing the lower cap...
Plastic should be of better quality
Could be smaller... but, hey, it's not like a fist of something...
Other Thoughts: Both caps should have been attached to the body of the reader.
Bottomline: Buy it if you need a reader. It does the job with great results.

- Supports SDHC cards as stated
- Seems sturdy enough if not abused
- GREAT PRICE!!!
Cons: - Dongle cover is not attached like SD card port cover. This makes it easy to lose the cover.
- Can't think of any other cons at this time.
Other Thoughts: My PC would not recognize some Kingston SDHC 4GB cards that I acquired at a great price. This reader allows me to use those cards in my PC. This inexpensive solution to my problem SAVED the deal I got on the SDHC cards.
Bottomline: At the price, buy several.

Pros: - It does what it advertises: it read your favorite SD cards through an USB port.
- The SD slot itself is not too tight, so you won't break your stuff during the insertion/removal of the SD.
- Nice transparent design, let us see the inner components.
- Has an LED access indicator.
- It was able to read some obscure SD card I had here that were refusing to be read by other methods. Its speed is also pretty high, even surpassing my netbook's built-in card reader.
Cons: - The buiild quality is not too good, and it seems fragile, VERY fragile, like it will break easily if we force it too much.
- Due to its fragileness, its not recommended to put in a tight pocket, otherwise it might break. It kind of makes it "less handheld" than it shoud.
Other Thoughts: - It's a little bulky, and may sacrifice some nearby USB ports if they're too close to eachother. But I admit it is to the fault of the SD cards themselves, which aren't as small as the microSD ones.
Bottomline: For its price, its a good buy, specially if you're desparate to access your SD cards easily. Even if it looks fragile and made of weak plastic, at least it reads the cards well, as at a fast speed, which is a plus.

Pros: Have used this item for over a year now and it is perfect. Way faster then my previous SD card reader, does what it is supposed to, and does it fast. You can also convert it into a flash drive just by leaving the SD card in, because it closes up on both sides and keeps the SD card protected.
Cons: If I had to come up with a con, then maybe the blue see-through colour isn't the greatest, but honestly it doesn't really matter. And it's not like its pink or purple:)
Other Thoughts: Love it. One of my best purchases in DX.
Bottomline: Get it if you need a fast, compact, versatile, cheap and reliable SDHC card reader / flash drive.

Pros: It is very cheap and works
Cons: It stopped working after less than 2 months of use (I'd like to stress that the use was far from intensive). It simply died and cannot read any card (tried with several ones, which still work with other readers I have). I also tried on different computers with no luck.
Other Thoughts: It is labelled as 150x but it does not seem that fast. I did not perform any formal test but it took longer to read a class 6 card than another reader I bought (SKU 10767). This other reader is not as compact but can read other card formats and seems to be more robust.
Bottomline: I'd recommend spending a few extra bucks and buying SKU 10767 instead.

Pros: - Small - Fast - Easy (plug and play) - Simple - Supports SDHC
Cons: - Needs some space around the USB port, may block neighboring ports - The USB connector cap is flimsy to put back on - The rear cap covering the SD connector is annoying. I haven't been able to close it back up properly after opening it, must be a bit broken. But it still dangles there, I might cut it off.
Other Thoughts: - It could be 1/3 smaller without the tail cap. Saw off the excess plastic if you feel like it :-)
Bottomline: I'll be using this one to move photos from my camera to my PC.

Pros: works great as a usb stick for my avi/divx media player, which is the reason i got it really, people keep going on about the build quality, but tbh as long as you dont stand on it or something it should be fine, ive seen worse xD i like the cap that covers the SD, keeps the dust off, usefull if your reader is sat in a media player most of the time :)
Cons: ...now for the con, the reader isnt recognised by my PC/XP *heard a few people mention this on DX*, its ok for me as i have another reader to put files on my SD, i dont think the SDHC reader is faulty as it works fine in my media player, but no matter what drivers/fixes i try, the reader just wont be recognised on my PC...but like i said, as i use this mostly in my media player it isnt a big deal, though it will be for others!
Other Thoughts: its really good, excellent price, runs awesome in my media player...sadly isnt recognised on my pc no matter what i try :(...over all though i like it :)
Bottomline: excellent, and even if you only use it as a usb stick like me its still worth it at this price...btw, mine is pink, and the colour aint as bad as you might think :P

Pros: Much faster transfer speeds than with a USB cable hooked up to my D90. Lights up when its plugged in and transferring, so you know that its connected. Small and portable, too!
Cons: There are two covers: one removable cover for the USB plug and another hinged cover for the SD slot. The hinged cover is VERY fragile, and feels like it will snap if I so much as fondle it. Be careful! Not a major issue, since itll still work without the cover.
Bottomline: Minus the shoddy hinged cover, this product works great! Its cheap and is a better way of transferring pictures to your computer than the traditional camera-cable-computer setup.

Pros: 1) Compact. No cable needed 2) High Speedy. In my Trancend 16 Gb class 6 (http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.11299) read 16 Mb/s write 9 Mb/s, testfile 1,5Gb. I think with more highspeedy card it can give 22,5 Mb/s (150x) 3) Price!
Cons: Build quality is not ideal. Top cover is fixed, but bottom isn't. You can easy to lose it.
Other Thoughts: I use it for my Foto Camera. MMC/CF/Memory stick and others i don't need. Universal Card readers are not for me. If you need only SD/SDHC this is best choice on this site

Pros: I have many SDHC cards, and two old computers (a desktop and a notebook) and it makes easier to change data between them, since none has a onboard card reader. Good speed, shape looking good, the card keeps safe locked inside it. I've tested with 4, 8 and 16Gb cards and all of them works fine.
Cons: I use to be careful with my gadgets, but it seems to be weak, I think that any hit can broken it, but I don't want to prove this theory...
Other Thoughts: At first look, it seems to be bigger than necessary, but it doesn't overlap the USB ports near it.
Bottomline: I'm happy with my cardreader, it worth the money and seems to work fine always. I use it as my pendrive.

Pros: This card reader reads really fast. I have a sdhc memory card which writes around 7MB per second however it can write around 13MB per second with this card. It also reads and writes much faster than if I put the memory card directly into my laptop.
Cons: the retractable cap at the end to cover the memory card will become loose if you have used it extensively like me. so the built quality is not that good.
Other Thoughts: none at the moment,
Bottomline: there are much cheaper sdhc card reader out there however if speed is your main concern then this is the card for you.

Pros: This is a nice card reader and fast as everyone says. The attached back cover is a decent touch since it's one less detached part to keep track of.
Cons: The card read stopped working after a year of infrequent use. I used it maybe once a month on average. I don't know if it lasts based on time since production or frequency of use, but I would imagine it would die even sooner if it was used more frequently. Also, it's really fat and takes up the USB port beside it of they're spread horizontally like on some front ports.
Other Thoughts: The other (non-SDHC) card reader I got from this site, which looks the same and presumably is made by the same company didn't make it a year either. And the company knows that people probably won't try to get a refund since the units are so cheap.
Bottomline: Good for a quick fix, but won't endure in the long run like better quality card readers will.

Pros: Fast. One of my SD cards is 150x and this reader does not slow it down.
Cons: No cons. I bought three and all three have been reliable and durable.
Other Thoughts: The price is good based on the reliability I've experienced with the three I purchased. Some of the reviews were a bit critical of the size (big). In my experience, although there are smaller readers around, the size of this product is not a problem at all.
Bottomline: Good product. Does what it's supposed to do. It is fast and has been reliable/durable.

Pros: Works nice and fast (usb2.0 fast) with all cards I have. (Tried 512m, 8g and 32g).
Works fine with TF cards when using adapters.
Works through my DX usb hub.
Cons: Only one cover is hinged, and it looks flimsy (but works fine)
Only works with SD/MMC/SDHC/TF(with adapter), no xD, no MS/MSpro/MSduo, no CF. (But dx has some that do.)
Other Thoughts: Not tested with sdxc since I don't have any.
Get an adapter for TF cards (and maybe one for mini-sd if anyone uses that, that is).
Bottomline: Cheap and very useful, so buy at least one.
Nowadays, SD cards are the cheapest.
(Then, if needed, look for one that does xD and MStick or CF.)
Check the 8GB microsd/tf card from DX at approx twenty bucks. It comes with an adapter and it fits this reader ok.

Pros: Pros
Works perfectly. Tested with 4gig cards in linux, OSX, windows 2000, and windows xp.
No drivers or setup necessary on modern OSes (Linux, OSX, XP, etc). Win2k needed a driver, but that was expected.
The reader is small enough to fit in even the smallest camera bags, but it's not so small it's easy to loose.
Cons: In my opinion the only con here is the caps. I could do without them: I keep my camera/gadget bags clean of dust, dirt and lint.
Some people say the size, but if it were smaller, it would be too easy to loose in a cluttered bag. I don't think it's a con.
Other Thoughts: I got it for my dad. He's never had a problem with it, and I see him use it all the time.
Bottomline: A dirt cheap, solid tool. It does exactly what it's supposed to with no frills or distractions.

Roda no windows xp, vista, e seven.
Cons: It's fragile, don't let it fall down.
--
É fragil, tente não deixar cair.
Bottomline: Great price, great product. Buy it, works very good. Great for who haven't a internal card reader.
---
Ótimo preço, ótimo produto. Pode comprar, funciona perfeitamente. Ótimo pra quem não tem um CPU com um leitor de cartão.

Pros: - Works fine, just push in the card and plug the reader into a USB port.
- Can hold a SD(HC) card inside safe
Cons: Huge casing compared to the actual reader inside, 2/3 of the thickness is just air and plastic. A bit too thick for a small camera bag.
Other Thoughts: Looking for an as small as possible SDHC reader for every camera bag & backpack I carry around, this is pretty close but the casing could be optimized. Maybe I'll just cut the casing in half and wrap some electric tape around the electronics.
Bottomline: Very good but could be smaller.

Pros: Excellent product. Easy to use, just plug it in. Does what its supposed to do. It does work in XP,does read SDHC 4GB. (I was worried it wouldnt
after paying hardly anything for it)
Cons: For the price I paid, absolutely none. And is NOT flimsy like other reviews would lead you to believe, just basic hard plastic, pretty good quality
Other Thoughts: You can't wrong with this one. I should have ordered a couple of them. It came in a sturdy package too, and after opening it was immediately satisfied
Bottomline: Just go ahead and order it,definitely worth it, Good product,Great price

Pros: Well this works perfectly on my WINDOWS 7 computer, I am very happy for this buy. I tried it on my SanDisk 8GB, and it worked perfectly. I am very pleased to own this with such a great price, I also bought my friends these because it was that good.
Cons: -Plastic can be a little bit stronger, but with the price, I can make an exception.
-The color can be different, like a transparent blue, but thats just me.
Other Thoughts: Very nice packaging, works better than expected.
Bottomline: Go buy it! The price is definitely worth it.
