Bottomline:

I trully advise you to keep backup of everything you keep in this thing. Its so small that a lotta friends already lost it.
makes a perfect combination with the 2gb microsd card that DX sells to be use in your car stereo. Light enough for you not to break the USB port on your car stereo.

Very handy little card reader. The string was a tad different from the picture. It had only the string and a little metal ring to attach to a keychain. Card slides out of the reader so that it's easy to get out, but doesn't drop involuntarily. The blue activity led is very cute and neatly hidden. You can't see it at all if it isn't turned on.

Bottomline:

Great reader for it's price.

Great little adapter. I have a couple of bigger ones, but this small one feels more sturdy than the others. It's very, very small. About the size of my thumbnail.

Cons:

It's a bit of a pain to remove the card. When you plug the card into the computer, the labelled side faces down. A bit counter-intuitive. The contacts are not protected from dust at all, but that's a price to pay for being so small.

Comes on a string so you can attach it to stuff. Handy.

Bottomline:

It's cheap, it's decent build. Not really good for an adapter, better off keeping one card on it permanently and using it as a little thumbdrive.

Very small and practical device to carry in your wallet. Beautiful device, simple to use, comes with a litle rope to fix it on a key chain or other place not to lose it.

Cons:

By the small size is easy to lose. Plastic seems to be fragile if drop something on him.

I was a little upset because I request the black product and received the white one, then thought better of the white because it uses in offices or black surface is easy to find it.

This amazing microsd card reader is very small and could be carried any time in your pocket. Everybody use to ask about it.

- Size. You can have a 8gb thumb drive smaller than any other in the market. Everyone become surprised when I show my "tiny drive".
It's so small that I put it inside my wallet with a 8gb card inside and sometimes don't even remember that it is there.
-Speed. Don't know if it is due to the card or the reader, but HDtune show something between 14 and 16mb/s

-Small. Is that a con?
-Seems a bit fragile. Nothing to worry about, maybe it's just because of its tiny size. -Just for precaution, I will buy another one as a "backup reader" if the first fail.
-Need to be careful to correct inserted in USB port. If you do it wrong, you may scratch the painting (like i did).
-Sometimes windows doesn't recognise the hardware, but i just pull it off and insert it again and it works.

Other Thoughts:

Buy if you need a thumb drive, or have a cell phone that uses microsd card. I use it with a 8gb card and it's by far the smallest thumb drive I have seen.

* Feels flimsy, made of plastic.
* Delivered with small hairline cracks all over it
* USB Connector starting to develop some kind of *rust*, I hope it doesnt get worse.
* Hanging strap that came with it had a hook that was thicker than the hole it was supposed to fit, So I removed the hook and used the metal ring holding the hook instead.
* Goes into USB slot opposite as the other reviews have stated, this effectively HIDES the activity indicator LED.

* Black would have been better at hiding the cracks on the unit. :(
* Worth the monies.

Buy if you have a phone using Micro SD cards. The transfer speeds are really good.

very SMALL. Almost makes me want to use it as an everyday thumbdrive by permanently leaving a microSD in there. Unlike the typical DX stuff, this one looks and feels solid and well built. They managed to fit a blue LED busy light as well.

Nothing much. Basic card reader, just in small form factor.

i recommend buying one to put it on your keychain. since ive bought mine ive used it more then 30 times... i have a 4gb microsd card in my phone and it has a built in 2mp camera with autofocus. i take descent quality pictures using my cell phone, and share these pictures with friends after clubbing or whatever were doing.
since ive had so much space on my card ive also added some portable apps that i frequently use (mainly firefox) so taht if im on the go and want to have my favorites and settings in firefox i can use my portable version!!!!

i bought it with a 2gb kingston japan fast transfer microsd card, and the data is transfered as fast as with the sd adapter! 2gb transfered on five minutes!
It is extremely litle and thin, Nobody that sees it can believe thats an usb pendrive hehe.
There is a litle stair betwen the metal conectors and the black part so they cant be easily damaged
It has a blue light to know when you can take it fron the computer

Cons:

When i give it to anybody with data they ALWAYS call me telling that it doesnt work, and its because they have put it on the wrong way haha, the light, in fact when you put it on a laptop you can see the light and the letters

It's Backwards and I love it!
Literally, you have to plug it in upside down. LED is bright. The reader is Tiny.

Cons:

I fear the glossy finish will be scratched in no time. Umm Though i do like the fact that it's upside down, unfortunately it also means that the LED is on the wrong side and usually facing downwards

I didn't buy it for the knot or medallions, but I don't mind them. The string is nice, but the medallions feel cheap [but it doesnt matter, you're getting it for the reader, right?]
