Pros: An excellent product and a best buy for the number of emitters per dollar. Bright white. Easy for beginners to use as is, and cutable like the ribbon strips, at any three LED junction. There are good solder pads at each cut point if you wish to use shorter sections.
Cons: No cons since those arriving now are different to the one displayed in the customer picture and early revues. The soldering is good quality and the board design better.
Other Thoughts: 75 LEDs protected every three LEDs with a 180 ohm resistor. This will make them bullet proof at charging voltages but tends to have them underdriven at 12 volts. There are still good and bright at that lower voltage however. I measured 390 mA at 12 volts and another customer measured 590 mA at 14.1 volts. Nominal rating at 12 volts would be 500 mA and 6 watts.
Bottomline: A good bargain choice for those considering SKU 5256 or even SKU 5312 Application details can be seen here: http://longlucas.bravehost.com/

Pros: Excellent product where the fine nozzles allow for using just the tiny amount you need.. I don't bother with five minute epoxy anymore, I much prefer this stuff. Sets solid in about five minutes so you can even hold bits together for that long and not bother with clamps.
Other Thoughts: The reason I have to keep buying more is that I keep giving away samples to friends. Bit like those great little DX keychain flashlights and I must have given away a few hundred of those.
Bottomline: I recommend this glue for attaching many of the best buys in DX LED lamps. It is a better solution than double sided adhesive tape.

Pros: An optical mouse with the usual features including the clickable scroll wheel. Clicking buttons have a crisp feel and the mouse works well.
Cons: Some users may find this shape strange. I prefer the traditional egg shape for a full size mouse. The cord with the USB plug is rather thin and more likely to tangle that the thicker ones found on another mouse.
Other Thoughts: I put this one away as a spare for when my preferred mouse fails. Sometimes the micro switches seem to have a short life, but I have tried too few samples to know if that is a general problem. The most heavily used left button always seems to fail though.
Bottomline: A reasonable buy if the shape fits your preference.

Pros: A well designed enclosure with good protection for the hard drive with insulating panels for electrical isolation and shock absorption. An attractive case with a good carry sleeve to protect from scratches.
Cons: Assembly is fiddly with 8 tiny screws to put in place. You need to pay attention to the assembly steps or you will get the USB cutouts misaligned. I did. Not as esy to change drives as the slip in type cases.
Bottomline: I am well satisfied with this purchase. It works well.

Pros: Just as the pictures show. Light and compact and easy to use with the adhesive tape. I use mine to plug in three GPS units at once and it handles that without trouble. The plug part is fuse protected against overload.
Cons: A white LED is used to show the unit has power. It is a bit too bright for my preference. A subdued red LED would be preferred.
Other Thoughts: Some buyers might prefer a different colour. I think black would be popular for many car interiors.
Bottomline: At this price, it is a good buy. Get some.

Pros: A good GPS unit with all the capability you would wish. Very sensitive to receiving satellite signals as are other units with the same Sirf III front ends.
Well designed and effective windscreen mount.
Cons: I prefer these small screen GPS units and find the display completely adequate. Novice users may need a little help if the included map sets are not for their region. Read the forum letters below for assistance here.
Other Thoughts: All the navigation programs I have tried on this unit work just fine. They run from the sd card. You can program your own sd card to run what you prefer.
Bottomline: A good buy at this price.
Highly recommended.
Decent battery life, but I run mine always plugged in with the cigarette lighter plug.
Display is bright.

Pros: If you have a look here, you will see some excellent pictures of an application of this product along with some other best buys from DX. http://www.dreampod.net/boroma/leds.html
Cons: There are none. I continue to recommend these as a best buy, well protected from those charging voltages by using 150 ohm resistors for every three emitters.
Other Thoughts: My own web page features these LED boards right at the top, as a best buy. http://longlucas.bravehost.com/ Have a look about for other best buys from DX
Bottomline: You cannot go wrong here. Let us hope that DX keeps up the quality on these as I am sending quite a few buyers after them.

Pros: Think of this board as 36 LEDs as each is a triple emitter, so at eight bucks it is a very good buy. Double sided circular circuit board with 12 150 ohm resistors. This suggests that protection from usual charging voltages will be adequate.
Cons: Get rid of the sticky backing and let the air flow
Other Thoughts: Measurements at my charging voltage of 13.25 volts is a current draw of 240 mA. That is spot on at 20 mA per emitter. Power = 13.25 volts x 0.24 amps = 3.18 watts. That is quite a bit more than the specs shown by DX, even at 12 volts.
Bottomline: Just the thing for that reading lamp

Pros: I have not purchased this item. It is similar to other LED boards in this style offered by DX and there could well be the same problem. With proper precaution in use it should be just as excellent a purchase.
Cons: The LEDs are liable to failure at the charging voltages produced in an automobile alternator.
Bottomline: The simple solution is to add a 7 or 8 ohm, 1 watt resistor in the red power wire. Do this and all should be fine

Pros: An analog meter is sometimes better for judging the size of readings easily. This one works well. Has good capacity for DC amps also
Cons: This is a low cost item not the best choice for precision readings
Other Thoughts: I would have a good quality digital meter like the other DX choices as a main meter and this one to fit your shirt pocket.
Bottomline: For the price it cannot be beat.If you have only occasional use for a meter this one is a good choice to check continuity or battery voltages.
