Pros:

I received this unit today. I have not used it, but looks looks OK and sounds OK.
And feels really nice as well.
Does not feel cheap nor 'toyish'.
According to the manual it has a overcharge protection.
Charge time is 5 hours before first use and three hours after draining it according to the box.
Includes power adapter, comb, scissors, small brush and oil.

Cons:

There are no screws keeping it together.
I was hoping it had that as I was thinking of changing the battery at some point. Or at least look at what battery it has and its capacity. From the text on the clipper I know it is a NiCd 1.2V, but I was hoping to find out a little more.
Half of the (English) manual is describing the BAY-2050 and the other half the BAY-2040. Not a problem since the devices are very similar.

Other Thoughts:

Looks fairly solid and looks better than I expected. But as stated above, I have not tried it yet.

Bottomline:

After a first glance I'm happy with it.

Pros:

-It's a very nice piece of equipment.

Other Thoughts:

I received mine today.
Plugged it in and inserted my memory cards to try it out.
I had prepared a lot of photos in the correct aspect ratio and resolution. So all my photos were 480x234 pixels.
When looking at the photos I realized that the ratio was not correct and my photos were re-sized.
Measured the display size in mm. and got the following result:
Width = 154mm
Height = 86mm
( => 6.94 inches)
This is the active part of the display.
480x234 pixels gives a ratio of 2.05
154x86 mm gives a ratio of 1.79
This means that either the display is
480x268
or
420*234
After some checking with different files I converted all my files to 480x268 and 420x234 pixels to compare them.
The 480x268 pixel photos looked somewhat better.
So according to me my unit is a 480x268pixels and not 480x234 as the manual states.
The resolution is only stated in one location in the manual and nowhere on the box.
It could be that it is a misprint.
Either way, I was mad at first as I had converted all the photos with the aspect ratio of 2.05 and had to redo all the photos with the new aspect ratio of 1.79.
But now that I think that it has a better resolution I don't mind it. If I'm wrong then it should be a 420x234.
But I'm sure it's not a 480x234 ;-)

Bottomline:

It's really nice, so I ordered one more. Will make a nice gift.

Pros:

This type of thing could have many uses. My primary use is to blow dust away from camera parts, lenses and LCDs.
-Large, which gives you a quick big blow or a slower and longer air flow.
-Easy to squeeze - soft rubber.

Cons:

-The size makes it hard to operate when dealing with small objects.
-If not squeezed properly, the tip will 'wiggle' a lot and might hit something. If the tip is inside a camera, then you could damage something.
But this is not a con for only this product, it is a general thing.

Other Thoughts:

A big rubber 'ball' with a tip for blowing air at stuff that needs cleaning.

Bottomline:

It blows enough air to clean dust. You need something like that? Then you can get this.

Pros:

I got these as an extra/spare set of caps. When you compare them to the originals, they look very, very similar.

-They fit perfectly
-Threads are as good as the originals
-They will keep dust and dirt away from the inside of your camera and lenses.

Cons:

-None really, even if the material is not as the original ones these will do their jobs.

Other Thoughts:

You should keep an extra set of these at home. Getting dust or dirt into your camera or lens could be devastating for your pictures.

Bottomline:

This is a nice 'insurance' to have at a very nice price.

Pros:

It is a very nice filter. I bought it to protect one of my cheaper lenses from scratches. I always keep it on the lens.
UV protections works well.

Cons:

No coating that I could notice. Please see other thoughts below.

Other Thoughts:

I also have a very similar Kenko filter bought in Tokyo.

For Kenko filters, Kenko is using MC and DMC for their coatings.
MC = Multi Coating / Multi Coated
DMC = Digital Multi Coating/Coated

I have no doubt that sku 876 is a genuine Kenko filter.
But there is no statement on the package nor the product itself that this filter is coated. I can't 'see' any coating either.

The one I have from Tokyo is clearly marked MC (both on package and filter itself) and I can 'see' the coating.

I guess that DLC is a misprint of DMC and that the person writing the title might not have known what that is and just blindly followed the information from the supplier.

The coating is normally used to help with reflections etc. but as I have used lens hoods I have not noticed any problems not having this filter coated.

Bottomline:

Very nice and easy to use. Always keep it on one of my lenses.

Pros:

-Slim
-Nice looking
-Nice specs (please see 'Other thoughts'
-Quiet as there is no fan (but you can hear your hdd as there is no sound proofing)

Cons:

-Don't know yet, but mine arrived DOA and DX have promised me a replacement within a couple of hours after I opened a ticket.

Bottomline:

I have one of these since earlier and they are really slim and easy to handle.

Pros:

- Fun for kids
- Useful for adults
- You get eight of them in four different colours
- They use the cheapest batteries ever, AG3
- Good for small handy work in tight spaces like inside of a desk top computer

Cons:

- You can change the batteries, but it is not easy as in other flash lights.
- The lights have different intensities
- The white ones came in two different types of white, one with a blue tint and one with a yellow tint. Not really a con, but still good to know

Other Thoughts:

Batteries were dead in one of the flash lights. But I had ordered 100 of these AG2 batteries so I did not mind.

Bottomline:

- Could be used for some handy work where you need two free hands and also fun for the kids

Pros:

- Good magnets
- Good enough build quality
- You get five of these small buggers
- Nice deep red colour with black spots

Cons:

- Smaller than they appear (19 mm in diameter)
- They are practically small semi-spheres, which makes them hard to grab and remove from the fridge etc.

Other Thoughts:

- They should come in 10-packs instead
- The magnets are stronger than what you might think
- Each magnet can hold up a couple of sheets of paper

Bottomline:

- Nice to have, but somewhat little too high price

Pros:

- Spiderman is a well known figure and kids love him
- Two colours available, red mask and a black mask
- Hard and thick plastic
- Area around the eyes light up, blue for the red one and red for the black one.

Cons:

- The plastic can break if it hits a hard floor
- The ergonomics not good, puts too much pressure on the nose.

Other Thoughts:

- Maybe some small smartly placed sponge material can be glued to the inside in order to make it more comfortable to wear

Bottomline:

- Small kids love them. Nice gifts for them.

Pros:

- Easy to set-up and use
- Uses three easy-to-find batteries (AG13)
- High volume sound
- Have on/off switch

Cons:

- Build quality not the best. four out of ten units came really scratched and looked used
- The main unit does not have holes for screws to mount it
- Burglar can easily turn it off
This is a trade-off as you might want to turn it off quickly if you turn it on by mistake.

Other Thoughts:

If you live in an unsafe area, buy many and put on all windows and doors.

Bottomline:

Good bang for the buck.

Pros:

- Keeps track of your AA and AAA batteries
- Good and sturdy quality
- Several colours to separate charged and empty batteries in an easy way
- Hook several cases together
- You get the same three colours in every batch. Good if you want several of same colour.

Cons:

- Latch is sometimes hard to open
- price vs usefulness a little too high

Bottomline:

- Very nice to be able to keep track of the batteries and also to keep them separated in order not to short.

They seem to have made some changes to these flash lights.
On my latest batch the on/off switch works very well. Previously I have had problems with all the switches. Now it is easy to change the mode from on to off.

Also, the light seems more white than before. The blue tint is almost gone.

Bottomline:

Good small flash lights to have lying around. Inexpensive enough to not care if they get lost or misplaced.

Pros:

- Easy to use
- It has a cord
- I said, it has a cord! No other explanation is
needed.
- Price is acceptable
- The cord is the only reason why I bought it.

Cons:

-I don't like the fact that the cord has no 'snap-on'
cords to easily snap-on/snap-off when changing lenses.

Other Thoughts:

I modified my lens cap cords with snap-on cords from
mobile phone charms. All my lens caps now work in the
same way and it makes it easy to change the lens and
lens cap at the same time.
Maybe a new product idea for DX?

Bottomline:

I only bought it because it has a cord. It would not
be fun to lose the lens cap while out on a trip.
Now the cord keeps the cap safe.

Pros:

- It has a cord
- I said, it has a cord! No other explanation is needed.

If you want a small and handy flash light then you should get sku 1100 or similar. This one is for those who would like to have a toy flash light.

Bottomline:

Even though the price adjustment in February it is a good buy if you want a different type of flash light.

- Nice and durable look/feel to it
- Inside material feels and looks like fleece material
- Depending on size, it will fit various objects that needs protection.
- Specielly manufactured with lenses for digital SLR cameras in mind (cylindrical shape)
- I have tried to rub different materials to it, but have not felt any static electricity build up yet.

Cons:

- I had to shake out some lint from inside of it before first use.

If these pouches are to be used with camera gears like lenses, there can't be any lint coming off it. Cameras and lenses require dust free environments.

Other Thoughts:

I have no clue how the material will hold together and if there will be any mass shedding inside the pouch.
A little sturdier material could be better maybe when having lenses inside these pouches.

Bottomline:

If it turns out to be useless with lenses, there are plenty of other uses for this as it is a very nice and soft pouch.
I now have the C1, C3, C4 and C6

Pros:

- The design of the product is well thought of.
- Inclination is adjustable
- 2 useful settings, ~50% and 100% settings
- Keeps your hands free when working
- Strap fit well on me
- Works with both alkaline and rechargeable Ni-MH

Cons:

- Battery compartment is worst I have ever encountered. When the battery holder is put inside the battery compartment it stays there forever. The inside of the compartment is made too tight and also holder have no way of grabbing hold of to remove it.

Other Thoughts:

I have two of these and both are equally bad regarding the battery compartments. I have modified the inside to allow the holder to slide more easy and also the holder itself was outfitted with a hook.

Bottomline:

When batteries are in place it works well.
Only get it if you don't mind doing some small modifications on the plastic battery holder and inside of the battery compartment

Pros:

- Looks like a normal laser pointer
- Works like a normal laser pointer
- Nice sticker on it, with <5mW warning
- You can use it as a real laser pointer without worrying about the shock as there are two buttons, one for the laser and the second for the shock

Cons:

- Two buttons. Makes people ask why there are two buttons. Some have commented that it looks 'fishy' with two buttons as it only should need one.
- Build quality not really good. 'fraid it will break any day now ...

Other Thoughts:

If you play around with it amongst other people they will get interested and try the laser. Everyone will ask about the second button. I usually don't answer until they get zapped :)
If they persist knowing what the second button is, you can tell them two it have two modes 'normal laser and bright laser'

Bottomline:

It works on more than half of the people testing it.
If you like to play jokes, then this is a good product to do it with. And still you can use it for work etc. as a real 5mW laser.

Pros:

- Simple and easy to use shocking Pen
- The Pen actually works as a pen as well, but the tip doesn't come out by pressing at the top. You have to screw the tip. I keep the tip barely visible and barely working. When people see me use it they think it is a normal pen. Then they pick it up and think the tip is inside and press the top to get the ball point tip out ---- zaaap LOL

Cons:

- Very Cheap looking
- So cheap looking that it stands out from any other pen you might have at home.
- Cheap built, seems very fragile

Other Thoughts:

- Cheap looking, cheap built ... but hey, you get a pen, you get a battery and you get a device to zap your friends. Suddenly the price seems reasonable.

Bottomline:

Cheap thrill with a cheap Pen ... classic!

Pros:

- The only real positive thing with it is that it really doesn't need any batteries ( not even rechargeables).
- Good build quality (but this is not the same as a good product)
- Good casing if you want to reuse when building your own watertight flashlight.
-Lens to focus the light

Cons:

- After 5 minutes of shaking I have a spotlight for about a minute. Then it dims down considerably. And after yet another minute, the light is very very weak and you can look straight into the LED without a problem.
- The maximum strength of the light from the LED is less than a third of sku 1100.

Other Thoughts:

If you want it just to see how it is supposed to work or if you want to modify it then get it or even better, get the smaller ones that are cheaper.

I have one that I got as a gift and that one have a very strong light and can hold the light for 20-30 minutes.
Maybe the capacitor can be exchanged to a better one to get a light that lasts longer.

Bottomline:

Not useful unless you want to modify it or use the casing for other things.

Pros:

- They work.
- Looks and feels ok.
- Sony branded, people will think it is original.
- It comes with a plastic protective casing.
- Protective casing seems to be able to be used with SD cards and SD micro TF cards as well (not verified).

Cons:

- Sony branded, people will think it is original - which it isn't. It is a copy.
- The protective casing can house the adapter and also an extra slot for SD micro TF cards instead of M2 cards.
- Build quality is not as good as originals, thinner material and seems somewhat more fragile. But this is an adaptor and build quality is good enough.

Other Thoughts:

Not original Sony even if branded Sony.

Bottomline:

Works as intended. Cheap build quality, but cheap price as well, so can't complain.

- Great conversation starter
- Comes in different colors on the lid, gel and cord.
I got one with Black/Silver lid, with pink gel and silvermetallic cord.
Second with purple/silver lid, clear gel and silver cord.
- I use it as a Cell phone charm instead of on a keychain.

Cons:

- The bottle is made from glass and could be fragile in use with keys.
- Only comes with one type of plant.
- You don't get to choose colours on lids and cords, but that is normal ;-)

Other Thoughts:

- Not very useful as in purposefulness. But could be used as small gifts. People will find them intriguing.
Nice to try out and see how long they will survive in the bottle. Will they outgrow the bottle? Will they survive if re-planted outside the bottle?

Bottomline:

Cheap enough to get one to see what it's all about

Pros:

- An easy to use, fun LED projection keychain clock.
- Have a clear and bright projection up to one meter (3 feet).
- At 2 meters (6 feet), the projection is big enough and bright enough that it is still visible even in well lit conditions. In dark conditions it is of course even better.
- Still works at 3 meters (9 feet) in dark conditions, but I would say that is about the limit for this gadget.

Cons:

- No button to lock the projection to 'ON'.
- Poor plastic build quality. Will not last for long, especially if used in pocket with keys.

Other Thoughts:

If used to occasionally pick up and look at the time in dark environments (bedroom etc.) then it is useful. It is not constructed in a way to be carried around in a pocket everyday.
Need to keep a stash with fresh batteries close by if used a lot.

Bottomline:

Cheap, fun, conversation starter. I gave mine away and need to buy one more now.

Pros:

- Nice looking black 'leather feel' pouch.
- It works as described.
- Contains two pockets inside the pouch.
The blocking pocket is the one made of a golden coloured metalic fabric.
The second one could be used when blocking is not desired.
- Good build quality

Cons:

- Will not block all types of phones to 100%.
- Not a Con, however, people using it might think that it is a Con that the battery of the phone will drain faster than normal. But that is what will happen if the phone gets it's signal blocked.

Other Thoughts:

- I dissected a pouch to find out how it was made. The inner blocking pocket is made from a quite a sturdy fabric. The fabric is very nicely painted with a metalic paint. As the fabric consists of meshes it creates together with the metalic paint a mesh grid, which acts like a Faraday's cage.
Good quality - You can't tell it's painted unless you start scratching the paint off with a knife or similar.

Bottomline:

Works as it should. If you need to block the phone from being connected to a network this is a cheap way of doing it.

Pros:

- Nice flashing pad for glasses.
- Three different colours of LEDs inside to create various flashing combinations of light.
- Flashing changes from green to blue to red then combinations of them and at different speeds (frequencies).

Cons:

- Mine came broken.
- It had no visible on/off button.

Other Thoughts:

- Mine came broken. It had no visible on/off button.
I opened it up and found the switch inside. The glue that was supposed to keep the switch in place had cracked.
Also a cable inside was shorted against the switch.
- The construction is so simple that anyone can fix it if it gets broken.
First it seemed nice with the text on top of it, but it would be nicer without the text and icons on top of it.

Bottomline:

If you want some flashing glasses or other glass items, then it is a nice thing to have. Not useful in anyway, but cool.

Pros:

- Stylish black remote
- Small and thin. It is small enough to carry in your bag or pocket, but big enough for it not to get lost
- Custom for Canon DSLR cameras. The other Jianisi (Sku 5483) version is for multiple cameras and have too many confusing buttons. This one only have the Canon function buttons.
- For my Canon 400D / Rebel Xti only the top two buttons are working which makes it easy to use. No confusions.
- Very nice price.
- Very handy for taking pictures with a tripod

Cons:

- Surface might get scratched over time (but it is acceptable for this price)
- No other obvious Cons.

Other Thoughts:

For this price, buy two ;-)

Bottomline:

Very good price. Buy it.

Pros:

- Will protect your LCD from scratches
- Will protect your LCD from greasy imprints from your fingers, face and nose (very important feature)
- Will provide your LCD a nice cover from sunlight, improving the visibility outdoors in strong sunlight
- The build quality is acceptable (plastic)

Cons:

- The see-through lcd cover is all scratched and looks used.
- The fit is not completely good. The 'top' part connects to the viewfinder but the 'bottom' part only rests against the camera's bottom. Each time you open the cover the whole piece feels like it will break at its viewfinder connection. But quality seems good enough, so I doubt it will break.

Other Thoughts:

Not entirely happy about the quality. The actual see-through lcd cover is all scratched and looks used.
Did I get a bad example or isn't the quality any better than this? Alltough it is still usable.

Bottomline:

If you need a real LCD Cover and feel that the thin plastic films are not good enough, then this is what you need.

Pros:

- Very nice looking
- Easy to attach to the DSLR camera
- Easy to strap on to your hand
- Enables the use of your DSLR with one hand
- Increase 'security', that is, you will not drop the camera when carrying your DSLR in your hand as the strap attaches it to your hand.

Cons:

- Not the best fit with Canon 400D, camera feels a little too small for my hand and the position of my hand when using this strap
- The neoprene part does not 'breathe', which makes the back of my hand sweat a little

Other Thoughts:

The Pros outway the Cons and it is a very nice strap to use if you don't want the camera hanging down your neck.

Bottomline:

Buy it, you will like it.
