Ease of Use: starstarstarstar
Build Quality: starstarstarstarstar
Usefulness: starstar
Overall Rating: starstarstar

Pros: small size.
accurate temp gauge.
decent cable length.

Cons: no way to attach either part to a fridge or freezer.
its celsius only (box says its both).
very flimsy plastic stand.
front button serves no purpose whatsoever other than to start the device when you insert a battery.

Other Thoughts: well as an outdoor thermometer you can read indoors its ok as long as you have somewhere to prop it up but as a fridge / freezer display its severely lacking, to be useful it would require a method to affix the sensor to the shelf and a method of attaching the unit itself to a fridge.

Bottomline: if you want a cheap temp censor that you can hang out of the window or are a student with a tabletop fridge them this might be of some use but in reality with no way to attach it and no warning alarm its just not good, buy something that realy is designed for the job.

Ownership verified by DX bright and realy well built

Pros: great solid matt aluminium body
removeable head and tail with o-rings on both
rubberised clickey
can be used as a 7 led torch or 18
its bright enough to hurt if you shine it in your face :(
laser is bright and focussed to a clear dot of course its not going to burn anything (other than maybe someones retina if you are daft enough to point it at someones face.
at a push its heavy and solid enough to be used defensively if required (it would certainly leave a mark)
takes standard "AAA" batteries you can buy anywhere.
comfortable and easy to grip

Cons: like all these torches the laynard is too short to be useful
the ring that attachs the laynard to the body at the tailcap means the tail has a small hole in it so i dont see the need for the o-rings to keep water out.

Other Thoughts: the leds have a much more blue tint to them and seem slightly more focussed than the white ones found in the 9 led + uv + laser AAA torch but in use even the 7 led setting gives a beam bright enough for normal use and seems brighter than my 9 led torch.

Bottomline: buy one, even though dx seems determined not to sell these by showing no photos and now marking them as "out of stock", admittedly it took a week for them to get one in but it was certainly worth the wait.

Ownership verified by DX wow, just wow (with reservations)

Pros: Its a fantastic little phone, well built, great reception, good battery life.

if it works in your region get one.

works fine with a 2gb sandisk micro sd, doesnt read a 4gb

charges from pc or psu realy quickly but because of only 1 lead cant charge both batteries together.

Cons: chinese manual is worthless if you dont speak chinese, just a waste of weight.

the cover gets in the way of the plug so leaves it at a slight angle for charging or headphones.

icons dont match whats in them

phone comes in french language.

Other Thoughts: this review might sound negative but it isnt meant to be, the phone is fantastic, all the problems are related to non existent instructions.

i do wish dx would supply suitable consumeables like cases, headphone adaptor, charging lead, screen protector and replacement stylus, i'm sure most buyers would buy the extras.

Bottomline: we need some instructions that are useable.

i cant find how to access the maps, i cant find how to access or use ebooks,i'd love to know what is supposed to go in each folder.

maybe between all of us we could come up with something even if dx doesnt
