Pros: - The desing is good. - All metal, looks and feels good. - Audio recording quality is reasonably good for covert recording of conversations. - It also has FM radio - The sound volume can reach REALLY LOUD! (too much in fact...) - about 8 hours recording time is really good. - Nice box and presentation. - It also has line in recording!
Cons: - The leds blinking when recording are a bit suspicious. As with many other of this type of watches you would need to open it and use a black marker over the leds to dim it. - I spent a lot of time figuring out how to make it record, the instructions were of no help and had to do it by trial and error.
Other Thoughts: I am still trying to find one watch recorder designed by someone who really knows what to expect from a covert audio recording watch: - No leds or at least leds that stop blinking after recording started, or even dimmer leds. - Better sampling audio quality considering the huge memory available. - Less MP3/FM etc stuff and more voice recording options: several VOX modes and audio gain for recording, etc....
Bottomline: It's a good MP3/FM/Audio recording watch. Probably the best one sold by DX (I dont like the fake dials on the other model) and until the spy camera watches improves the audio recording quality this is the way to go for that. The price was great one year ago, not so good nowadays compared with the spy camera watches, but this is still better for audio recording.

Pros: November version (the one with the VideoRecord directory) has some great improvements: - Outstanding Audio Recording in comparison with previous versions. - Improved video, at least it seems to be more clear and better to the eye. - Improved battery life, at least it is labeled as 220mAh (+ D1-BEP551240) and fills all the available space inside.
Cons: - The soldering work is trash. Mine wasn't taking a charge and was only working with external battery. After dissassembling, I discovered the soldering of the USB connector was in contact with the leg of one transistor... And it shouldn't! It's almost a miracle the transistor or other components didn't die with the huge overheating. Working ok after the fix. - Very Very bad for DX or the manufacturer to ship again a RETURNED item to another customer. I am saying this because it was very obvious that this unit had been used before (plastic bags broken, etc)... combine that with the fact that this unit wasn't taking a charge because of a manufacturer problem and you know what happenned before. - I havent been able to access the firmware of this unit, specially for trying it on other pens with older firmware, but... This firmware is almost as good as it can be for this hardware so there really isn't a need. - Also, the "pen" part was too tight to screw. I swapped it with one coming from an older spy pen which was somewhat "loose" and now both pens are happy :)
Other Thoughts: This version, if you don't have the bad luck of receiving a flawed unit, is great and for the price you can't expect more. I am not even surprised nor really bothered of receiving a broken one (perhaps a bit angry because I think this one was previously returned as broken, but i don't know if thats DX or manufacturers fault). Also, this version has a PCB layout totally different than the one posted a while ago and the Flash memory is a samsung K9GAG08U0M.
Bottomline: This is probably the BEST bang you can get for a few dollars ever. Stuff like this was just a dream a couple of years ago and the price is ridiculously cheap. One last note, you should check the latest spy pen versions DX has just added, perhaps they are even better for just a few dollars more.

Pros: - CHEAP!
- Good for exercising wrists and forearm
- Interesting gadget
Cons: I am a bit scared of two things:
- Not sure if this sort of exercising is in fact good or bad for the wrists, but as many people is using it perhaps its ok
- Considering the speed it gets, and the quality (not bad, but not great) of the assembly.. what would happen if it the gyro gets stuck or something breaks while using it? :S
Probably its ok, but as I cant stop thiking about that while using it, I consider it a con for me
Bottomline: This is one of those things you dont really need, but you love it when you try it. At this price I am very happy with it.

Pros: - Excellent range... I have tested more than 1km with some buildings in the middle. It probably is at least 5km line-of-sight.
- Nice design, small, solid
- It even has a blue led "flashlight"
- Good volume and sound
Cons: - Automatic Squelch is a disadvantage in case the noise floor/interferences is too high. Some sort of adjustment or levels would have been much better.
- Minimun volume is so loud that it doesnt make many sense to set it higher. its ok, but some lower volume settings would be useful.
Other Thoughts: I was in doubt getting this one because it has the PTT on the front and not the side, but it doesnt really matter when you use it.
Someone said in a review it would be better for the belt clip to be removable... Well, I am mostly sure it is... But its not easy to figure out how extract it and I worry about breaking it.
Bottomline: Great value for the price. I havent tested the other ones DX has, but I dont think they can be much better.

Pros: - Very good sound sensitivity with the two internal amplified mics - Incredibly small size (Just the same as one of those *small* mathchboxes). - Magnetic base, it sticks to metal surfaces. - The design itself could be considered a disguise, it even has a little button that lights a high power blue led. I think it is there just for disguise so it could be mistaken as a flashlight.
Cons: - Perhaps small internal battery? Probably around 500mah, half battery size than sku.6707
Other Thoughts: This one is much better than sku.6707: Smaller, Better audio sensitivity, magnetic base...
Only con is half the internal battery capacity, but as I haven't checked consumption or autonomy I am not sure how important will that be.
VERY IMPORTANT: The one I received is not as pictured here. It doesnt have the nice textile box, neither the external higher capacity battery! I am opening a ticket to DX about this because I really miss those extra even if the bug itself is very good.
Oh yeah, and it isnt solar powered, its just a sticker that is part of the disguise, but I was already expecting that.
Bottomline: If you want a good gsm bug, just buy this one... Unless you want to spend *LOTS* more on a SMS configurable one.
