Involvement: General (knows how to use it) - Ownership: 1 week to 1 month

Price: starstarstarstarstar
Ease of Use: starstarstarstarstar
Build Quality: starstarstarstar
Usefulness: starstarstarstarstar
Overall Rating: starstarstarstarstar

Pros: Very good and cheap way of getting into the world of close-up photography.
Fits camera perfectly.....nice hard case to keep it safe...no marks on the glass anywhere....

Cons: Not a con, but it did take me a few goes to figure out how to work it!!!!!!!!!!
Im not daft, but i thought i could use it at my 28mm setting, but no, it needs to be used at the telephoto end.
Which now means that i have to buy a tripod now so i can get a steady shot.

Other Thoughts: Im now thinking about getting another one to see if they would work together?!
Will ask the experts before i buy it though.

Bottomline: Very nice....solid filter....i highly recommend this to anyone getting into macro photography

Price: starstarstarstarstar
Ease of Use: starstarstarstarstar
Build Quality: starstarstarstarstar
Usefulness: starstarstarstarstar
Overall Rating: starstarstarstarstar

Pros: Small..not heavy..comes in very handy........
Very bright for the size of it...............

Cons: No cons as of yet..............
Ordered 7 packs now and all work fine.......
Not waterproof, but thats not a big draw back

Other Thoughts: I give one out with each flashlight i sell and so far everyone is happy with their wee surprise ..............

Bottomline: Very cheap....very handy....can use as a small torch/flashlight in the pitch black.....good to have a switch that will keep it on, so you can work on things hand free with the light in your mouth...

Ownership verified by DX Good for the price
Posted by cyclist on 3/29/2009
Involvement: Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership: more than 1 month

Price: starstarstarstarstar
Ease of Use: starstarstarstarstar
Build Quality: starstarstarstar
Usefulness: starstarstarstarstar
Overall Rating: starstarstarstarstar

Pros: Good helmet light for MTB'ing or road riding.
Only draws .50amps from a 18650, so you'll get around 5hrs run time.
Feels solid.
Looks good.

Cons: Could do with being just a bit more powerful with a 18650.
Maybe a low would be nice too, but its not worth it anyway when running a 18650!

Other Thoughts: Nice simple light.
Nothing can really go wrong with it.

Bottomline: Well worth buying....solid....cheap....
I dont have it any more as my mate bought it of me, so have ordered another one, thats how much i like it

Ownership verified by DX excelent as a back up or use several as main light
Posted by cyclist on 7/21/2008
Involvement: Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership: 1 day to 1 week

Price: starstarstarstarstar
Ease of Use: starstarstarstarstar
Build Quality: starstarstarstarstar
Usefulness: starstarstarstarstar
Overall Rating: starstarstarstarstar

Pros: small, light, attaches almost anywhere, bright, should be more water proof than the other one, as the switch is under the plastic.
Half the price of a single similar light over in the UK.

Cons: cant think of any at this price

Other Thoughts: i would recommend these over the other ones because of the switch and as these also use the bigger batterys, so should last longer

Bottomline: shame it took so long for DX to get this light, i could have done with some of these a while ago.
DX- whats with the 500 characters?
Its a tiny 3mode bike light, how much can you say about that!!!

Ownership verified by DX buy this and not the other one!
Posted by cyclist on 2/1/2008
Involvement: Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership: more than 1 month

Price: starstarstarstarstar
Ease of Use: starstarstarstarstar
Build Quality: starstarstarstarstar
Usefulness: starstarstarstarstar
Overall Rating: starstarstarstarstar

Pros: Holds the light very well.
I have used several lights with this from a C2 up to a WF-600.
It held the 600 right back at the switch and it was fine, but just in case i used a rubber band as a back up (don't fancy that falling into front wheel!).
I have also used them in a mtb race and there was no problem.

Cons: Lights with square centre can be a bit of a problem but you can still secure them ok with or without a rubber band

Other Thoughts: It would be good if they could come up with a helmet mount using a bracket like this

Bottomline: buy it
you've got nothing to lose

Ownership verified by DX Perfect bike light
Posted by cyclist on 12/10/2007
Involvement: General (knows how to use it) - Ownership: 1 day to 1 week

Price: starstarstarstarstar
Ease of Use: starstarstarstarstar
Build Quality: starstarstarstar
Usefulness: starstarstarstarstar
Overall Rating: starstarstarstarstar

Pros: Will last around 4hrs on 18650 2500mah.
Slowly dims out.
Great spill and good spot.

Cons: Battery (18650) rattles about a bit and is possibly the reason for the intermittent light sometimes.
This only happened on my bike and i used a couple of magnet spacers and it helped a bit.
I have now wrapped tape around the battery to make a snug fit, will see how it goes.

Other Thoughts: Perfect for a bike light because of spill and spot.
Just aim the spot about 20-30feet in front of bike and the spill lights up the in-between.
Used this tonight and i could keep my sunglasses on while cycling along dark country roads (just a test i do to see how good a light is!).

Bottomline: Buy 1, get a pack of 2 batterys, charger and bike mount (not the plastic one,the rubber one) from DX and you have a bike light for around $46 or £23 which if you take the spare battery with you will give you a minimum of 8hrs light.
You will pay 10 times that for a similar manufacturers specialist bike light!!!
I'm going to buy another 3 or 4 for friends.
